awe yes i love musicals they are very great i dont realy have any new ones myself but i was always one with a chest of ideas but may i recomend again the tale of depravitys final: depravitus
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
it was inspired by the musical lazurus mostly the soundtrack as i did get to watch the musical and i found it quite disappointing i could go on and on about it but this is about naejunko week not a long essay post on the flaws of lazurus that held it back from being david bowies final masterpiece but the soundtrack made me love and see the story that i wish could be and after that day i had a dream where junko told me to write her backstory i litsen to lazurus : life on mars and knew what i must do!
It's a god-awful small affair
To the girl with the floofy hair
But her mummy is yelling, "No!"
And her daddy has told her to go
And her friend is nowhere to be seen
Now she walks through her sunken dream
To the seat with the clearest view
And she's hooked to the silver screen
But the film is a saddening bore
For she's lived it ten times or more
She could spit in the eyes of fools
As they ask her to focus on
Sailors fighting in the dance hall
Oh man! Look at those cavemen go
It's the freakiest show
Take a look at the lawman
Beating up the wrong guy
Oh man! Wonder if he'll ever know
He's in the best-selling show
Is there life on Mars?
a final to my series of junko traped in a room unable to die haunted by the ghost of her past while a magical muse trys to inspire her with hope all while she remeets with her old freind makoto who has a new fascination, beautiful just beautiful!
though let me focus on the naejunko yes i loved adding that plot it was so wonderful actually my first naejunko actually i wrote this before i got HARDCORE it just made sense at the time, oh but that small seed of sense grew into a flower of passion! that has a permanent vine around my heart, so beautiful it is
ah i love the chapter where makoto realizes his love after junko has a mental breakdown from the chapter "love is lost" he trys to help her ...
Honestly Makoto didn’t need siramay to tell him to take action seeing how clearly distraught Junko was, but he didn’t know what to possibly say in said situation, so he just followed his heart
MAKOTO: hey hey! It’s ok… calm down it’s ok, I, kind of understand how you feel…
MAKOTO: maybe not, but I’ve had people look at me, after the events if the killing game many say I saved the world, and am a “great hero” even though part of me wants to down play it… but some people look at me with… so much destain, some say I was carried to success and others… some think I’m actually evil… it hurts a little if I could do anything to convince them I’m not like that I would…
But you learn something, you can’t change everyone’s mind, those people are strangers, and, in the end, it doesn’t matter what they think as long as I can be proud of myself, that’s enough
[MAKOTO]
Still don't know what I was waiting for
And my time was running wild, a million dead-end streets and
Every time I thought I'd got it made
It seemed the taste was not so sweet
So, I turned myself to face me
But I've never caught a glimpse
Of how the others must see the faker
I'm much too fast to take that test
[Chorus (MAKOTO)]
Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes (Turn and face the strange)
Ch-ch-changes, (don't want to be a richer man)
Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes (Turn and face the strange)
Ch-ch-changes, (just gonna have to be a different man)
[MAKOTO]
Time may change me
But I can change time
I watch the ripples change their size
But never leave the stream of warm impermanence and
So, the days float through my eyes
But still the days seem the same
And these children that you spit on
As they try to change their world
Are immune to your consultations
They're quite aware of what they're going through
[Chorus (MAKOTO)]
Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes (Turn and face the strange)
Ch-ch-changes, (don't tell them to grow up and out of it)
Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes (Turn and face the strange)
Ch-ch-changes,
[MAKOTO]
where's your shame?
You've left us up to our necks in it
Time may change me
But you can change time
And as Makoto talked with Junko dragging her across this building looking across at the growing everchanging land he looked at her and felt he saw a faint smile grown across her tired face And with that his hand moves to his heart and he feels it accelerating, the warmth rise to his cheeks, Makoto realizes he’s experiencing something he never thought he would, least of all with Junko…love
Strange fascination, fascinating me…
Ah, changes are taking the pace I'm going through!
his face becomes baffled.
[CHORUS (MAKOTO)]
Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes (turn and face the strange)
Ch-ch-changes, (oh, look out you rock 'n rollers)
Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes (turn and face the strange)
Ch-ch-changes,
[MAKOTO]
pretty soon now you're gonna get older
Time may change me
But I can change time
I said that time may change me
But I can change time…
it gets better but you'll need to read the rest and find that out yourself!
