The concept of Julian Blackthorn finding out that his little sister has been kidnapped and taken to Faerie by Sebastian 2.0 and Sebastian’s son, and now resides in the Seelie Queen’s clutches.

The concept of Julian Blackthorn finding out that his other little sister, who was murdered, has never actually been at rest. That she’s been a ghost for all these years, forced to watch in agony as her family grows up and lives their lives while she sits stuck in time.

The concept of Julian Blackthorn finding out that his little brother, who he thought was coping well from the loss of his twin sister, attempted to raise said sister at 15 years old, forming a spiritual bond between the two of them which he kept secret for all these years, causing irreparable and world changing damage. Is now slowly deteriorating from that bond and dying.

Yk what I just realized?

Since Antonetta is actually Prosper Beck, she knew in Sword Catcher that her own crawlers, including Jerrod, had almost killed Kel in an alley. If you remember, she snuck Lin into the palace after Conor forbid her to go to check on Kel after three days.

Which means:

•Thats how she learned Kel had been injured

•Thats why she snuck Lin in the palace to check on him. Because her own men had hurt Kel and it was the least she could do. Because she felt guilty and at fault.

It was her own orders that sent the crawlers after Kel, who they mistook as Conor.

No, it wasn't just some silly I can do whatever I want flirty flirty Antonetta moment, it was a I know more than I'm supposed to and I'm doing the best I can, so this is my way of saying sorry moment.

ana being beck is still confusing to me because like what did she hope to gain out of blackmailing conor? like actually?? someone pls tell me if im being stupid

I think she just wanted to hurt him? The way he hurt her by telling her Mum she shouldn't be playing with him and his friends because she was becoming a woman. My best interpretation is that she wanted to get one up on him, to belittle him, to create a situation where his bad character showed and there was no avoiding the consequences. (And Conor is great at making a situation worse ,apparently, so that definitely helped escalate the problem she created.)

Seishiro had asked Reo why he keeps his bangs uneven once. Reo had laughed it off and asked, “Don’t you think I’m handsome anyways though?” He was startled by Seishiro’s guileless, crystalline answer: “Of course.” When Reo thinks back on the memory, it almost felt like an, ‘I love you’. The real reason is more undignified than most people would think Mikage Reo to be capable of. He had taken an envelope opener to his hair in a fit of rage when he was 13 after a particularly excruciating meeting with his father’s underlings. Reo had stared at the reflection as if it was hallow, as if he could somehow see through himself.  “You’re real. You’re real. You’re real.” Reo used to fear never knowing who he really is. Now, he’s horrified of what he’s found under the layers of marble and silk. 

or, reo spends a week regretting what he's done and regretting what he's gonna do.

isa's note ... i am simultaneously ashamed and gagged by how long this chapter took me. it's seriously not even that long. reo is suffering for a week this chapter but i have been suffering for 15 months. i hope you enjoy his and my misery anyways!
