I was looking at some Avengers gifs and I realized something.
The way they are all standing, they are across from their opposites.
Tony and Thor are Science and Magic.
Clint and Steve are Warrior and Spy.
Natasha and Hulk are the Manly Man and the Woman.
Now hear me out.
The thing between Tony and Thor is the fact that neither of them hold their belief that the other’s weapon (Magic or Science) is less than the other.
Steve and Clint are total opposites, yet eerily similar. Steve follows the rules, unless he feels the rules are wrong. Clint follows his own rule. They both have the intelligence of a great mind, yet they never seem to use it until necessary. (For references, see The Avengers and Captain America: The Winter Solider)
Now for Hulk and Natasha, I feel like I may get a lot of hate on this one. For Hulk, I say Manly Man because the Hulk is all about the smashing. Once he is done, then he thinks himself through. He is the epitome of rage and violence, but there is a whole other side to him (Banner) that needs to control himself often. Natasha, on the other hand, is the Woman. When I say woman, I don’t mean anything negative. I mean that she uses her smarts, looks, and knowledge to do her job and she does it well. One could say that she alone is the smartest person on the team. Hell, she facilitated the entire team from the beginning (Save for Thor, because we all know that was the Super Nanny loving Phil Coulson.)
Natasha was the bread and butter of this team while every one else was the jam and sugar.

10/03/12- Prompt: Describe you best English class. Response: One of my greatest English classes was my sophomore year class, English II. My teacher at first was Mrs. Caldwell, who I had freshman year and she failed me out of hatred for my brother. So, I transferred out and got my Drama teacher,...
11/02/12- Prompt: What is your favorite place? Response: My place is the Kofa High School Auditorium in Yuma, AZ. From my freshman year to my last day in Arizona, I spent more time in that auditorium than anywhere else, even more than home. When I entered the building, I was delighted to see the...
December 2012 writing prompts.
12/05/13- Prompt: What was the last disagreement you had? Response: The last disagreement I had was when I was trying to explain to my friend Brook, that I am morally unaffected by death. Her argument was that everyone, in some way, is effected but it because it is sad. My argument was that I learned I was dying at age 14, so I’ve gotten used to the fact that everyone dies.
12/07/12- Prompt: What is an advertisement you have seen recently? Response: “Earn 4x fuel points! When you buy gift cards… Use like cash…. Save on Fuel.” repeated 3 times. This is one of my favorite ads and I still have yet to find out what it is for. Being catchy, I’ve memorized the words and sing them when I am really bored. It appears on Hulu as the advertisement. “Earn 4x fuel points! When you buy gift cards… Use like cash…. Save on Fuel.” It is seconded by only the Bob Evans little boy commercial.
12/11/12- Prompt: What was the best thing about this class? Give some advise to an incoming freshman about how to survive college. Response: To me, the greatest thing about this class was the fact that I passed it (I hope). There are many things you’ll learn in Mr. Whitney’s class, and I will present you some well endowed advise. The first thing I can teach is do never take this class on the 8am-9:20am schedule. If this is your first year, as it was mine, then a morning class doesn’t seem all that bad. It is, and I’ll tell you why. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I have had to wake up before 7:30am to be in class on time; 7am on the days that papers are due. Also, if you wake up super late, you might as well not come to class. Absences are a big thing in this school, so stay on top of them. The next thing is the papers that need to be written. I am a huge procrastinator, and that being said, didn’t do most of my papers until the night before they were due. That was one of the stupidest things I could have done. I know the papers are droll, but they definitely help when you go further in life. The one I really messed up on was the Observation paper. Not only did I turn it in late and half done, but I also didn’t start it until a few hours before it was due. I wasn’t even that hard of a paper now that I think of it. The last thing I can teach is also a life lesson split in two parts. The first thing is, as Youtuber Shane Dawson, said, “I don’t understand why everybody tried so hard. Nobody gives a fuck.” (This is college, so expect to hear a lot of foul language.) Anyways, do not try to hard to be ‘cool.’ It honestly doesn’t work. This leads me to my next part being, friends. In this class, I’ve met a lot of good friends. It started that I wouldn’t talk to anyone, but then Justin, a fellow student, talked to me, and then we hung out often. Then I started talking to Jarrod, a student from Australia, and we became friends. Slowly I gained friend after friend and I wouldn’t have if I didn’t take this class. After presenting you with some great advice, and introducing you to what you’ll learn. I hope you succeed in this class. It was a fun experience, and hopefully you learn as much as I have in this class.
[Note: The friends you make will, for the most part, not last after you have left college. It could be that they were terrible people (like trying to sleep with your family member.)]
November 2012 writing prompts
11/02/12- Prompt: What is your favorite place? Response: My place is the Kofa High School Auditorium in Yuma, AZ. From my freshman year to my last day in Arizona, I spent more time in that auditorium than anywhere else, even more than home. When I entered the building, I was delighted to see the burning lights, careful not to stare so long as to blind myself. Then I would walk upon my stage with my fellow actors. I treasured every part of that place, even Freddie the ghost who liked to slam doors.
11/05/12- Prompt: How would you make a town? Response: If I could design a town, I’d make it a Utopian society. The city limits would be set by 15 feet high brick or concrete walls, those of which the children can draw and paint upon. It would probably look like a city of the future, but I’d want it to have that lasting impression. On two or three spots of the wall, I would have an amazing team of security to do “border checks” on those coming in and out.
11/07/12- Prompt: What is a tradition you participate in? Response: One tradition I participate in is Christmas! The use of presents and Santa Claus makes it a treat. One specific thing we, my family and I, do is drink hot chocolate and sing at least three songs each. We then break out into a versus mode of karaoke consisting of a mix of Glee, Rockband and Guitar Hero songs and even sing-alongs on our phones, such as “Dynamite” by Taio Cruz and “Baby Got Back” by M.C. Hammer.
11/09/12- Prompt: Are you more or less reliant on technology? Response: Personally, I have both less and more self reliance. I have less when I get bored of trivial things, such as reading and writing. But, I also have more by being prepared for when everything stops working. It is kind of a give/take relationship, because even when I am using the electronic devices, I am learning for the sake of learning about things.
11/14/12- Prompt: What makes you different from the rest of your family? Response: I am different for many numerous reasons. One, I am going to be the only one who has a college degree. Two, I am more talented compare to others in my family. Three, I am gifted, academically, and have a high IQ. And lastly, I can protect myself better than anyone else in my family.
11/16/12- Prompt: What do you think about when you think of the Civil War? Response: When I think of the Civil War, I think of 3 things. Those things are the attempt of succession of southern states, African-American/slave freedom, and now, thanks to new blockbusters, President Lincoln being a monster hunter. I mainly think of Lincoln because I love monster hunters The way the movies arm him with a simple scythe enthralls me.
11/26/12- Prompt: What do you think of sports? Response: Sports, such as football, soccer, and baseball, I feel are very unimportant. Granted, many may differ in opinion from this, but I stay strong about it. If a footballer, or soccer player, put the effort into fighting a war, rather than the games, we’d probably win more “battles” than we have in the past. Actually I lied, I just could not care any less, otherwise my care levels would be negative amounts. [Note: I no longer feel this way towards sports and war.]
11/30/12- Prompt: What was you favorite time reading? Response: My favorite reading was a period between the ages 4 and 7. Being at the peak of my reading skills, I read a Harry Potter book, as well as three of Shakespeare’s plays; Hamlet, Romeo & Juliett and Macbeth. I read to read, nothing else came into play.
October 2012 writing prompts
10/03/12- Prompt: Describe you best English class. Response: One of my greatest English classes was my sophomore year class, English II. My teacher at first was Mrs. Caldwell, who I had freshman year and she failed me out of hatred for my brother. So, I transferred out and got my Drama teacher, Mr. Kelly, from the year previous. In that class, we read “The Giver,” and a ton of short stories. It was also the first class I had to write a research paper for, which I received a 97% on. Overall, I learned the most important things in that class, that of which would be repeated year after year.
10/04/12- Prompt: Is college what you expected? Response: Coming to college was a lot worse than I expected. I expected a carefree attitude, a little more time to sleep in the mornings, and freedom from my mother. I learned within the first week that these things are not in my future for the next 10 weeks. Tuesday evening was when things went wrong. My sister gave me a cheesecake, even though I am lactose intolerant, which led to my getting food poisoning. And my mom, on Wednesday, took my phone and went through it because “I am not yet an adult.” according to her.
10/08/12- Prompt: What was the easiest part of your first essay? Response: The easiest part of the essay was rewriting the events and effects. When retelling a story, one must consequently remember not only memories but also emotions. That was easy for me to do. I finished this prompt quickly because I am not so here.
10/10/12- Prompt: What was the last meal you ate? Response: The last meal I ate cannot be called a true meal, as the contents were seemingly not meal items. It turned into a 3 part course with some horrible side effects. First, I had a large amount of Twizzlers, which I realized I hated. Second, I ate a bowl of Chik’n and Dumpling soup from a can, that tasted and looked horrible. Last, I had banana split ice cream, even though I am lactose intolerant.
10/15/12- Prompt: What is your favorite smell? Response: My favorite smell is one that has traveled with me from my early childhood. It originated in New York when we lived with my grandmother for a few weeks. The smell is one that traveled to Arizona with me, and showed up at random places such as; My friend’s house, my corridor at the apartments and around the pool at my second house. The smell is one that churns the stomach as butterflies of love, and creates a sane atmosphere. It is a soft form of lavender mixed with vanilla and a hint of spice.
10/19/12- Prompt: Describe a time when you were stereotyped. Response: One time that I was stereotyped was when people though I was too fat to defend myself and that I wouldn’t chase someone. It was a chilly morning, and my friend, who was legitimately the fastest kid in school, had taken my backpack and ran off to hide it. As he dashed away, I took off, catching up to and tackling him in a manner of seconds. From that day on, nobody touched my stuff again.
10/22/12- Prompt: What id your favorite restaurant? Response: One of my favorite restaurants is IHOP. I only go there because of a tradition. Between my friends and I. It started when my friends, Mallory and Cheyenne, as well as Mallory’s family, needed to go dress shopping and invited me. After we got their dresses, we went to IHOP and ate. Hilariosity ensued and by the end of the night, I had left my phone number to the waiter and do every time we go.
10/24/12- Prompt: What is your cultural heritage? What is your favorite cultural food? Response: My cultural heritage is a large steam pot of traditions and values. As a whole, I am part German, Irish, Italian, Polish, Finnish, Native American, African-American, Jewish and so many more. But, even though I am a mutt, I am an American, and a third generation one at that. I am celebratory over all peoples the same, and feel connected to the rest of the world in result. The German cookies Lois made were amazing, Klotchky.

Collaboration of text messages story.
A few years ago, a good friend and I were constantly textversating and we decided to write a story together.
A story in text by Nicholas Howe and Alessa Mills.
Alessa Mills = AM Nicholas Howe = NH
AM: There once was a boy... He didn't know who his daddy was, and his mom never told him what her job was. NH: He lived in the same house on L Street his whole life. AM: He thought his life (and mom) were completely normal until he found out what his mom did for a living. NH: She was a government killer. AM: And his dad, well, lets just say he wasn't a very loyal government official and his wife was only doing her job. NH: His sixteenth birthday was anything but sweet. AM: An underground terrorist found out of his mother and broke into the house during the party. NH: Luckily, she got him before he could mess anything up. AM: The boy went downstairs, completely unaware of the situation, and found his mother torturing and questioning the terrorist. NH: "Mom, what are you doing!?" the boy exclaimed. NH: "Go upstairs, straight to your room, now." she said calmly. AM: He hurrily ran upstairs, stopping to hear the man screaming in a foreign tongue. NH: Sneakingly, he watched from the top of the stairs. AM: He sees the mom finish off the man with a plastic bag over his head. NH: He squealed lightly and ran to his room. AM: Just when he was about to throw up, his mom came in to explain things. NH: "And so Dad was just a mission!?" He moved over to his swords and started playing with them. AM: "Sweety, don't freak out, I was doing my job," the mom said. AM: "Bullshit!" The boy yelled. NH: He swung the sword he had at his mother. She disappeared and the boy passed out. AM: A few hours later, he woke up and was confused about what happened. NH: "Why do I feel so groggy" he asked his mother. AM: "I had to do something. You tried to get me with that sword of yours." she said. NH: It was a crazy situation. AM: Then the mom explained EVERYTHING. NH: "What does that mean for me?" the boy asked. AM: "It means that is anyone finds out about me, your life could be in grave danger." NH: "I figured that." he replied with snark. NH: The mom spoke softer to the boy, (AM:) "It's probably not safe for you now because of him... You are gonna go to Gramma's." NH: "No! I wanna do what you do." he said unconvincingly. AM: "No. It is dangerous... I won't teach you." the mom said. NH: "Fine, I'll learn myself. I don't need you." he replied. AM: "NO! YOU WONT!" she exclaimed back. NH: "Yes I will." Later that night, he grabbed some stuff from the basement, his karate suit and his swords and left the house. AM: Then he went to fight club, (NH:)where he was unaccepted. NH: He went to a small dojo on the outskirts of town that he had remembered from his childhood. AM: That's where he practiced using his swords on random things in his early years. NH: He entered through the roof because the doors were locked. AM: Soon he got hungry so, he stole from some small stores, using part of his belt as a mask. NH: He fell asleep in the dojo. When he awoke, a teen, not much older than the boy, was hovering over him, standing in a weird way. AM: "Holy shit!" he exclaimed, "Who are you?" NH: "You, don't remember me? We grew up together." the guy said. AM: "Holy hell. Nathan?" the boy questioned. NH: "Yeah Kyle. Uncle's studio." Nathan stated. AM: "Long story..." (NH:) Kyle said to his friend. NH: Pointing to students waiting on one side of the room, "Shorten it." AM: "Uhm..." Kyle began, "I can't really explain further than 'there's crazy stuff going down at my house and I had to leave.'" NH: Nathan motioned, "Come to the back so you aren't disturbing class." AM:"Alright" (NH:) Kyle followed Nathan to the back of the dojo. NH: "So," Nathan questioned, "What happened with Julie... I mean, your mom, last night?" AM: "I just wanted some space." NH: "That is not what Uncle said." AM: "Well, whatever happened, I'm better off not knowing." Kyle said. NH: "You need to know." Nathan started, " Your mom was taken around 4:00-ish this morning." AM: "What!? How!? Who!?" Kyle struggled for an answer. NH: "The Shi League." Nathan explained. AM: "Why did they take my mom?" NH: "For information," Nathan stopped. "But she wasn't their main target." AM: "If she wasn't their main target, then why did they take her?" Kyle questioned, "And where'd they take her?" NH: Nathan shrugged, "I don't know... But they wanted you." AM: "I don't know how that'd help!" Kyle exclaimed, "I'm not a trained killer." NH: Nathan went on, "We are trying to figure it out." NH: Kyle looked away, (AM:) "Damn it, I need to find her." NH: Nathan tried to bring back his attention, "You need training and a team." AM: "I don't care about a team. Only my mom. We need to get her." NH: Nathan chuckled, "I figured you'd be like this." NH: Kyle looked irritated, (AM:) "We need to get some help though." NH: "Oh, I have an idea." Nathan said. AM: "What is it?" NH: "What if you, me and one other person I know, go and get your mom?" AM: "You think we can?" Kyle asked. NH: "Oh yeah!" Nathan smiled. NH: Some time later, (AM:) "Who is the other guy you were talking about?" NH: "Uh, girl actually," Nathan smirked, "It's Desire. The one you've been in love with since fourth grade." NH: Kyle was taken back by the statement. (AM:) "Wow... How is she going to help with anything?" NH: Nathan pointed to a plaque on the wall, "Uncle's top student, and CIA trained." AM: "So, some girly girl has more training than me?" NH: "Yes, but she doesn't have natural instinct like you do." Nathan said, placing a hand on Kyle's shoulder, "I have some hunches to lookup, so we'll leave at dark." AM: "Okay." Kyle agreed. NH: After the sun had set, Nathan came back to Kyle and exclaimed, "Let's go!" AM: "Alright, what is the plan, other than getting my mom back?" NH: "Kick some ass!" Nathan joked. NH: Kyle looked confused, (AM:) Well yeah, but what is the plan?" NH: "Well, we need to go get your mom, that's pretty much the plan." AM: "How are we going to get to and get in the hideout?" Kyle questioned. NH: "Just walk in, we have, like, 7 places to check out." AM: "Damn it!" Kyle exclaimed, stopping in his tracks, "I thought you knew where my mom was." NH: "I only know where some of the Shi League bases are." Nathan explained. "I have no idea which one she is at. I figured we could get through them all." AM: "Okay." Kyle said exasperatedly, "Where to first?" NH: "We have to go get Desire, then go to the 4th street base." AM: "Alright." NH: "Just so you know," Nathan added, "She isn't too excited to be working with you... She only agreed because she just wants some fun." AM: "Well, this is gonna be fun..." Kyle said with the slightest sarcasm rolling off his tongue, "It's going to be dangerous. I hope she knows that." NH: "Trust me," Nathan assured, "She definitely know how dangerous this is. That is why it is fun for her."

It's a funny world
I think it is funny that a world issue is not how terrible we are as a species. It is not how much we destroy the world, nor each other. One of the biggest problems we have is the fact that some people love others, while not looking at gender as their basis. We live in a world where a man will forgive you for murdering another, but if you are a man and you (unknowingly/unwillingly) chose to love a man, you shall never be forgiven. We live in a world where we don't care that two people truly love each other and want to sanctify that love, yet we need two people to last 72 days in marriage and still love them. We live, sadly, in a world where a boy who loves another boy can be beaten and be praised, yet a man who beats a pedophile can be considered a criminal. We live in a world where a bunch of teenage males can dress up like women for a pep rally, but a boy dresses like a woman out of need is shunned. It is a funny world we live in where we try to get our lives right while worrying about others hate us for it.
For an outside view, I can see how "funny" the world is.
