AM: There once was a boy... He didn't know who his daddy was, and his mom never told him what her job was.
NH: He lived in the same house on L Street his whole life.
AM: He thought his life (and mom) were completely normal until he found out what his mom did for a living.
NH: She was a government killer.
AM: And his dad, well, lets just say he wasn't a very loyal government official and his wife was only doing her job.
NH: His sixteenth birthday was anything but sweet.
AM: An underground terrorist found out of his mother and broke into the house during the party.
NH: Luckily, she got him before he could mess anything up.
AM: The boy went downstairs, completely unaware of the situation, and found his mother torturing and questioning the terrorist.
NH: "Mom, what are you doing!?" the boy exclaimed.
NH: "Go upstairs, straight to your room, now." she said calmly.
AM: He hurrily ran upstairs, stopping to hear the man screaming in a foreign tongue.
NH: Sneakingly, he watched from the top of the stairs.
AM: He sees the mom finish off the man with a plastic bag over his head.
NH: He squealed lightly and ran to his room.
AM: Just when he was about to throw up, his mom came in to explain things.
NH: "And so Dad was just a mission!?" He moved over to his swords and started playing with them.
AM: "Sweety, don't freak out, I was doing my job," the mom said.
AM: "Bullshit!" The boy yelled.
NH: He swung the sword he had at his mother. She disappeared and the boy passed out.
AM: A few hours later, he woke up and was confused about what happened.
NH: "Why do I feel so groggy" he asked his mother.
AM: "I had to do something. You tried to get me with that sword of yours." she said.
NH: It was a crazy situation.
AM: Then the mom explained EVERYTHING.
NH: "What does that mean for me?" the boy asked.
AM: "It means that is anyone finds out about me, your life could be in grave danger."
NH: "I figured that." he replied with snark.
NH: The mom spoke softer to the boy, (AM:) "It's probably not safe for you now because of him... You are gonna go to Gramma's."
NH: "No! I wanna do what you do." he said unconvincingly.
AM: "No. It is dangerous... I won't teach you." the mom said.
NH: "Fine, I'll learn myself. I don't need you." he replied.
AM: "NO! YOU WONT!" she exclaimed back.
NH: "Yes I will." Later that night, he grabbed some stuff from the basement, his karate suit and his swords and left the house.
AM: Then he went to fight club, (NH:)where he was unaccepted.
NH: He went to a small dojo on the outskirts of town that he had remembered from his childhood.
AM: That's where he practiced using his swords on random things in his early years.
NH: He entered through the roof because the doors were locked.
AM: Soon he got hungry so, he stole from some small stores, using part of his belt as a mask.
NH: He fell asleep in the dojo. When he awoke, a teen, not much older than the boy, was hovering over him, standing in a weird way.
AM: "Holy shit!" he exclaimed, "Who are you?"
NH: "You, don't remember me? We grew up together." the guy said.
AM: "Holy hell. Nathan?" the boy questioned.
NH: "Yeah Kyle. Uncle's studio." Nathan stated.
AM: "Long story..." (NH:) Kyle said to his friend.
NH: Pointing to students waiting on one side of the room, "Shorten it."
AM: "Uhm..." Kyle began, "I can't really explain further than 'there's crazy stuff going down at my house and I had to leave.'"
NH: Nathan motioned, "Come to the back so you aren't disturbing class."
AM:"Alright" (NH:) Kyle followed Nathan to the back of the dojo.
NH: "So," Nathan questioned, "What happened with Julie... I mean, your mom, last night?"
AM: "I just wanted some space."
NH: "That is not what Uncle said."
AM: "Well, whatever happened, I'm better off not knowing." Kyle said.
NH: "You need to know." Nathan started, " Your mom was taken around 4:00-ish this morning."
AM: "What!? How!? Who!?" Kyle struggled for an answer.
NH: "The Shi League." Nathan explained.
AM: "Why did they take my mom?"
NH: "For information," Nathan stopped. "But she wasn't their main target."
AM: "If she wasn't their main target, then why did they take her?" Kyle questioned, "And where'd they take her?"
NH: Nathan shrugged, "I don't know... But they wanted you."
AM: "I don't know how that'd help!" Kyle exclaimed, "I'm not a trained killer."
NH: Nathan went on, "We are trying to figure it out."
NH: Kyle looked away, (AM:) "Damn it, I need to find her."
NH: Nathan tried to bring back his attention, "You need training and a team."
AM: "I don't care about a team. Only my mom. We need to get her."
NH: Nathan chuckled, "I figured you'd be like this."
NH: Kyle looked irritated, (AM:) "We need to get some help though."
NH: "Oh, I have an idea." Nathan said.
AM: "What is it?"
NH: "What if you, me and one other person I know, go and get your mom?"
AM: "You think we can?" Kyle asked.
NH: "Oh yeah!" Nathan smiled.
NH: Some time later, (AM:) "Who is the other guy you were talking about?"
NH: "Uh, girl actually," Nathan smirked, "It's Desire. The one you've been in love with since fourth grade."
NH: Kyle was taken back by the statement. (AM:) "Wow... How is she going to help with anything?"
NH: Nathan pointed to a plaque on the wall, "Uncle's top student, and CIA trained."
AM: "So, some girly girl has more training than me?"
NH: "Yes, but she doesn't have natural instinct like you do." Nathan said, placing a hand on Kyle's shoulder, "I have some hunches to lookup, so we'll leave at dark."
AM: "Okay." Kyle agreed.
NH: After the sun had set, Nathan came back to Kyle and exclaimed, "Let's go!"
AM: "Alright, what is the plan, other than getting my mom back?"
NH: "Kick some ass!" Nathan joked.
NH: Kyle looked confused, (AM:) Well yeah, but what is the plan?"
NH: "Well, we need to go get your mom, that's pretty much the plan."
AM: "How are we going to get to and get in the hideout?" Kyle questioned.
NH: "Just walk in, we have, like, 7 places to check out."
AM: "Damn it!" Kyle exclaimed, stopping in his tracks, "I thought you knew where my mom was."
NH: "I only know where some of the Shi League bases are." Nathan explained. "I have no idea which one she is at. I figured we could get through them all."
AM: "Okay." Kyle said exasperatedly, "Where to first?"
NH: "We have to go get Desire, then go to the 4th street base."
AM: "Alright."
NH: "Just so you know," Nathan added, "She isn't too excited to be working with you... She only agreed because she just wants some fun."
AM: "Well, this is gonna be fun..." Kyle said with the slightest sarcasm rolling off his tongue, "It's going to be dangerous. I hope she knows that."
NH: "Trust me," Nathan assured, "She definitely know how dangerous this is. That is why it is fun for her."
