I knew it!!!!
Nyan~
My first thought seeing this scene
I'm in the part where Sephiroth is making illusions all around us. Right now my theory is that Cloud is the Zack guy that Aeris knew as a child and who disappeared one day
Just reached the only scene I was aware of before playing
Google just sent me an email telling me they masked my 2-star rating on LADS for breaking the store rules and "containing information unrelated to the product"
My review only contained one word, "disappointing"
The game is back to 3.9 stars for me and a lot of 1 and 2 star ratings seem to have disappeared
The appeal got accepted already, and they said they were putting it back!

They had this convo at least once
I can't believe I just have Sephiroth in my party
Why is Kimblee in my game?
He even gets his throat torn out by a beast
What in the children hospital
I swear this was an attempt at zolu at first. I'll try again later 😔
was rewatching OPLA and this was all I could think about when I saw this scene again
episode 315: Its Name Is the New World! the Fate of the Grand Line! (part 2 of 2)
what a fucking insane frame. wow. that COMPLETELY once again recontextualizes an older scene. oda really does a phenomenal job at that. i wondered why he did it, and now we know! great reveal.
i wonder if, truly left to her own devices, robin would actually just study the archeology of the poneglyphs, or whether she would pursue development of pluton as part of her research.
aokiji seems to think she would.
not me having the slightest bit of pity for him. like he wanted to put this whole "i had to kill my best friend" behind him, but nico robin represents his whole past he was trying to forget. i can understand that. that doesn't make him any less terrifying or erase his whole mindless government tool actions, but still.
nami's tangerine tree works quite well in this analogy, i think!
really like this moment. he is giving her a chance to prove herself. not that she should have to, but still!!!
the mark on the wall where he leaned is so cool.
nothing like our favorite captain to ruin the intensity and lighten the mood.
i like that he literally rides off into the sunset.
one of my favorite quotes in the whole show.
she's got her work cut out for her, i'd say, lmao.
what a great ep. lots of really important lore drops as of late. wonder how they will impact the coming arcs.
also, fun fact, all of these screencaps were from the last FOUR MINUTES of the episode. very dense for such a short time left!
Nami is wearing Sanji's shirt!!!!!!!!!
Sometimes I think about how fortunate Luffy was to recruit Zoro and Sanji before he got into the grand line. I mean this from a pirate hierarchy context, because we all know the most elite recruit was Nami for obvious reasons.
But in terms of Zoro and Sanji, they bring a level of legitimacy to the pirate crew by actually being very comfortable and familiar with taking orders. They also help Luffy step into the role of leader through their understanding of hierarchy.
For example Zoro does not mess around about being first mate or following Luffy’s instructions despite how ridiculous he thinks they are. He’s disciplined and grew up in a dojo so he has no ego about doing as he’s told. Especially since he chose to follow Luffy.
Sanji grew up in a kitchen and that already speaks for itself. He’s used to the strict hierarchy and again has no ego about being told what to do by his captain or what needs to be done to support him.
Which is why I love that in Water 7 Sanji and Zoro are the only two to agree that Usopp can’t come back until he initiates an apology that Luffy accepts. They understand clearly that while they are friendly and casual with their captain, he’s their captain. They won’t make it as a crew if his authority is challenged.
And I love it too because Luffy’s not yet at a stage where he understands the boundaries he needs to set. He’s so ready to get Usopp back immediately. Zoro protects is captain hood by putting his foot down on the matter. And of course Sanji gets it too. So much so that despite silently protecting Usopp that whole arc. He’s doesn’t hesitate to agree with Zoro.
i love when luffy just
