Your writing is glorious and I felt a little bit ashamed when I read it~
I thank you kindly for the compliment, dear! It’s always fantastic to get good feedback such as this on something that I put so much of my time and heart into. Though I would, however, like to interject something; why do you feel ashamed reading my work?
I’m going to guess that your answer will be something to the tune of “my writing isn’t as good as yours,” and to that, I would like to say this; that may or may not be so, but I’ve been polishing my craft for a good eleven, going on twelve years now. I’ve written almost every single day, and I’ve read probably twice as much as that. Most importantly of all, I’ve gotten feedback from people familiar with what makes writing good, and I’ve used it. (Fact of the matter is is that there’s still a great deal for even me to learn and adapt into my own writing.) Writing’s like a muscle, really; you have to exercise it and find ways to maximize your exercise technique to get stronger and better.
So with that in mind, I would much rather you ask me what I’m doing/did than tell me that you’re ashamed reading my writing. Personally, my goal here is to entertain with my storytelling and above all, sharpen my skills, not make you feel badly about your own abilities.
