Hello Pridelanders!

This blog is dedicated to all things Lion King, especially Nala, who happens to be my favorite character from that series.

I am Nala-Enjoyer though some of you may know me as Kate or Zoww.

Like most other TLK fans, I have plenty of my own story ideas and headcanons, and I’ll be posting about those, as well as reblogging art and comic pages.

Do note that I have a few soft kinks such as pregnancy, so you may see that (in SFW form) pop up on here from time to time. If this makes you uncomfortable, I do apologize.

I also roleplay in semi literate-fully literate style. Anyone interested can feel free to DM me with ideas, as long as you can confirm you’re over 18 years of age.

Decided to revise my release schedule what with school coming back soon. I decided to just kinda be vague with the exact dates, instead just laying out ideal times.

The July 30th date for Ep 32 is out of acknowledgement of VG's 4th anniversary. I don't know if that date's gonna stick but I do want something out that day, even if it's not the long-awaited chapter.

Why September 4th for ASotR? Because that's the anniversary of the TLG episode Cave of Secrets, where Askari and his Guard were first given their appearances through paintings. I do personally think September is way out there for something I said I was gonna release in April, but it might pop up earlier?

Lion King version of Cleo (Between the Lions)

Lore: Tied deeply with the order of shamans, Cleo and her mate Theo make their home in the eastern Tree of Life, located in the vast jungles west of Milele. The tree is a massive structure, both above and under ground. It’s full of ancient knowledge, chiefly used by those wishing to learn. Cleo is especially learned, and being in such close proximity to the Night Pride, is often offering her knowledge to those who come seeking it. She is pleasant and polite, but not afraid to defend the knowledge she’s been entrusted with, as well as her family, which includes her two cubs Lionel and Leona. Both cubs are set to take their parent’s place at the tree once Cleo and Theo’s journeys end in the circle of life.

When Cleo isn’t inspecting the tree and adding new knowledge with the help of various helpers, she’s caring for her cubs, hunting, and even traveling to prides who seek her out where she learns of their ways. Because of this, some say that Cleo is the most cultured lioness in all of east africa. Not that she’d ever boast that herself.

TLK: A Little Space

Happy 7th Anniversary of TLK 2019 to these two in particular

I've been meaning to post my fanmade 2D designs of Azizi and Kamari for years and just got around to it tonight after being reminded of the anniversary of this movie's release. Couldn't think of anything distinct enough about this movie to redraw until I remembered Azizi and Kamari, who always felt so different from Banzai and Ed to me that they felt like their own characters to me instead of their counterparts.

Their designs are based on distinctive features that I could make out from their models, as well as pushing that slight design after their voice actors they already had a lot further and going for really exaggerated caricatures. Kamari has Keegan Michael Key's dark under-eye markings and Azizi's mane resembles Eric Andre's afro.

VG Bonus Art: Angel

Happy late Pride Day and 626 Day!

This was inspired by a group chat conversation about how Vitani and Tiifu's dynamic would be like that of Lilo and Stitch.

Taking place in the latter half of TLK 2, Tiifu is lonely and desperate for a girlfriend. She doesn't know how lucky she's going to be...

This is dedicated in memory of the English voice of Lilo, Daveigh Chase, who put her all in her delivery.

TLK 32nd Anniversary Special

Starting of the showcase with a 2021 sketch of Simba I drew for a friend's birthday because I thought it was fitting for the occasion

Here's some proof but still really kept-under-wraps sketches that Vitani's Guard's finale is still being developed. I decided to sketch Vitani in an exaggerated version of my motivation lately.

This Askari preview is not how the illustrations are going to look, this is a cave painting depiction of the big bads we're gonna encounter in this new series.

I want Vitani's Guard and Askari: Secrets of the Roar to be posted within June at all. I'll see what I can do tbh

TLK/Zootopia is of course still going! It's just... I need to post those drawings I'm always teasing with as well as some new art.

Happy Father’s Day!

This takes place on the day of Kiara’s presentation, based on this piece of concept art (or storyboard?) that I thought was adorable.

In a lot of ways, Simba and Kiara’s relationship reminds me of my own relationship with my father. He may not be perfect and he’s definitely made mistakes, but he loves his little girl more than anything and would do anything for her

Silly Lion King Post

I really like the older translations of Disney songs. Nowadays, at least the German ones, seem to be much more literal translations but in the 90s, they actually took some liberties.

In Simba's Pride in We Are One there is the line "even those who are gone, are with us as we go on, your journey has only begun". Kind of generic, communicates legacy. In the German version? Simba directly references his own, eventual death. "And when I'm gone, I'll stay a part of you, to always be there for you".

The French version of Can you feel the Love tonight is sweepingly romantic. "Love shines under the stars, illuminating their hearts".

In the German version of the song, one of the final lines translates to "finally one, in the safety of darkness" which is …an interesting choice for a Disney film, considering what "becoming one" in the context of romance can be referring to. Okay, I 'll get my mind out of the gutter now. Sorry for nerding out XD
