Her lips twitched into the tiniest of smiles. “Alright, alright - hold on a second. I’m always up for a challenge. Hit me with something completely experimental. I just can’t promise I won’t GAG.”
Matthias never shared his own songs with anyone — they revealed too much vulnerability in the stoic and rather taciturn male — despite how subtle the stories within his lyrics truly gave away. That night he pushed his own limits to step out of his comfort zone. The gig was a one-time show and he had a maximum set of two songs: one cover and one original. Nothing but simple fun being his payment for the night — it was all he really expected. Once he finished, he packed up his guitar and made way for the bar; hands trembling from the performance.
An earsplitting, slow clap boomed throughout the bar -- a wicked grin curling onto cherry painted lips. “BRAVO, little cous’.” The hybrid woman spoke as she slowly began to rise from her stool. She had never quite given the time of day to Matthias -- to THAT side of the family for that matter. While her last name was Donovan, she wore her Mikaelson badge with loyalty and honor -- always and forever. Long story short? MAJOR daddy issues. Nala being Nala, she made it her business to know everyone else’s business in their town. Regardless of her feelings towards them. So, the minute she’d caught wind of her cousin’s sideshow gig, this.. comedy hour, she had to check it out. Cornering the male, she let her head fall to one side. Light hues narrowed. “The PERFECT mixture of whine and brood. I didn’t know you played. That display of talent must come from your wolf-man side, hm? Devil knows your mother is a good for nothing -- a waste of space.”

“Considering I’m related to more than half of the population of Mystic Falls, and half of the other half that I’m not related to ( are you following me here? ), irritate me to no end – my options are unfortunately quite limited. Aaaand, for laughs, I’ll throw in my favorite little troublemaker – @lilyhildegard, simply to tease those pesky sirens. I know how much they love the idea of our hot, writhing bodies tangled between the sheets. Just dangling the meat ( OOPS! Sorry, Lil.. tofu. ) in front of Sybil’s face. HEY! That’s four, and I didn’t even have to try that hard. Go me.”

Other than him, @mikaelsonwyatt is also incredibly fun to pester. @hcpemik is another family member I look up to with a great about of respect. have too many cousins to count, I often lose track of them all until I see them pop up at Mikaelson family events. I’d say that was too broad of a question, really – but most of my cousins just tell me to bugger off.”
“Hey… so… this isn’t what it looks like…” Irina said with a seemingly innocent chuckle, “Actually, you know what? This is exactly what it looks like.”
“The faux-innocence thing is MY specialty, ‘Rina. Unless Lily Hildegard has somehow body jumped into yours, I’m not here to play GAMES. Drop the theatrics and get lost.”
Kyra was stuck on the afternoon shift at the club, and completely bored. She began experimenting with different drinks. She mixed one and took a sip, and promptly made a face. She was so distracted with her little experiments that she didn’t notice that someone had come up to the bar. “Sorry, um, what can I get you?”
“Er -- would you hate me if I said NOTHING after that sour face you just made? Looks like your mixology skills aren’t quite up to par, cous’.”

Jagger sat there listening, a slight laugh at how guys tried to hit on her. “Yeah well people aren’t the brightest.” He stated watching the glass come toward him and soon after the bartender was called, “Oh man.. worst line? One would have to be ‘I’m not drunk, I’m just intoxicated by you.’ and that’s only because she was drunk as hell, another would be.. ‘You’ve got a lawyers ass! Yup its firm.’ took be by surprise when he grabbed my ass.”
Nala wasn’t one to show a wide range of emotion, but that last line made her completely burst out in a fit of laughter -- covering her mouth with her hand as an attempt to quiet herself down. Blame it on the alcohol, right? “That’s got to be one of the worst ones out there. Dude really took the bull by the horns, didn’t he? Can’t believe he grabbed your ass.” Her features went sour. “I would’ve shattered every bone in his hand. Clearly, you’ve got a far better temper than I, Jagger.”

Jesse turned to his sister and tilted his head at her confession. “Excuse me? You took my car and brought it back wrecked?” Jesse asked with a stern look over his face. “Why the hell did you think it was cool to do that…you know the deal… the other’s possessions are fair game, my things are not!” Jesse admitted flinging the cigarette to the kerbside. He shook his head and exhaled. “You know you make this so difficult for me!”
The sternness in her brother’s voice made Nala cower a bit -- scooting backward on the stoop. She’d taken his new car out for a spin in the middle of the night, and to make a very long story short, brought it back home a little beat up. “Jess, I’m SORRY -- I didn’t mean to. I swear. Look, I’ll drive it down to Mystic Motors first thing tomorrow morning and have Cam take a look at it. I’m sure he’ll be able to fix it. You can even..” She bit a her lower lip as if the next words she was about to speak were too painful. “I’ll even let you trash my favorite pair of Yeezy’s as payback.” The words flew off of her tongue quickly, squeezing her eyes shut when she was finished, preparing herself for the worst.
“You know that timeless saying, take a picture it will last longer? I don’t want to have to point out the obvious so just quit staring huh?” Sebastian said, his voice laced with irritation. He closed the sketchbook he had on the table in case that had been what the person had been looking at.
With a twitch of her hand, the blonde used a bit of magic to flick the pages of the sketchbook back open -- not to sneak a peak or anything of the sort, but more so just to aggravate the man. “Are you SO VAIN to think that someone like me would be staring at YOU?” Her lips curved upwards into a small, challenging grin.

Jesse looked to his sister as she took the cigarette and laughed at her attempt of looking out for his health. “I hate to break it to you Nala, but I am already dead… so smoking is not going to do damage to my health now is it?” Jesse assure his sister. He looked over at the mention of their sister before shaking his head. “Let me get this straight, you can be pissed at her for stealing a Gucci, but I can’t be pissed at the fact I am ninety-nine point nine percent sure those two stole my new jeep and scratched all the side and leave a massive dent in the driver side door?” Jesse admitted as he basically spat it out.
“It’s still gross.” Nala mumbled beneath her breath, always needing to have the last word with her brother. Pulling out a nail file from her bag, she took in Jesse’s words -- nodding along coolly all the while. “Ooh,” She started, examining the length of her fingernails as to avoid eye contact with him. After a moment or two, she finally parted her lips to speak. “Yeah, that was ME.” Short and sweet.

“Are you expanding their vocabulary already?” Hayley inquired with a quirk of her brow, leaning against the doorway of the nursery as she held the two freshly laundered blankets in her grasp. It was nearing nap time for the two littlest Mikaelson children and she knew that neither would achieve their slumber without the blankets – at least they wouldn’t do so without being fussy. A faint grin adorned her features as she looked towards her niece, having overheard the entire conversation and her choice of language. “Thankfully, they’re too young to understand what you’re saying and they won’t remember any of it. Though, when they get a little older and start talking, then we may have a problem.”
A bit startled by the sound of her aunt’s voice, Nala was quick to back into the complete other side of the room -- far away from the twins. “In my experience, those with particularly colorful vocabularies seem to have the brightest minds.” She countered with an especially apologetic smile on her lips. “I’ll try to be more careful next time. Since the Mikaelson I came looking for seems to be nowhere to be found, I’d ask you if you’d like to join me for lunch -- but, your hands look full. Do you.. need any help?”
“Hey, Ri --” The blonde sat amongst the congestion of people at Wonderland, just a few tables away from the stage. “Mind picking up the tempo? Crowd looks a tad.. DEAD.” A twisted grin curled onto a cherry painted pout. Moving her foot to kick the person sat beside her, the body thumped lifelessly to the floor -- thus creating a small domino effect of limp bodies collapsing out of their seats. @rileylockwood
“I’m not sure what you expect me to do about it. Sounds more like a you problem.”
“If you’d like to keep your pretty little head.. I suggest you do as I say, Salvatore.” Her words were laced with venom, light hues narrowing in on the witch. Nala wrapped an arm around the human play-thing she’d compelled to be her companion for the night -- not a strange occurrence for the woman. “Mind getting off of your ass and actually doing your damn job? I SAID -- my friend here would like another drink.”

Jagger laughed at Nala’s response, seeing the anger she felt toward it from the annoyance. “Entertaining and pathetic if you ask me. I can’t believe some of those lines work on people.” He commented before a glass was sent to him, “If you’re offering of course.”
“Wouldn’t waste good magic -- or BOOZE, for that matter -- on just anybody.” The blonde countered with an arch of her brow, nodding toward the shot glass she’d sent his way. “I’ll admit, I’ve humored a pick up line or two that’s been used on me. Pathetic human guys trying to impress their friends by hitting on a girl way out of their league. It’s cute. The nerves and stress in their systems make ‘em taste all that much sweeter.” But, say a douchebag type tries a ‘I’m no weatherman, but you can expect a few inches tonight’ type of deal? That’s a straight up no-no in her book. That’ll get your neck snapped. She called out to the bartender to order another round of shots. “What about you, huh? What’s the worst line someone’s ever used on you?”
