Totally trapped under cuties that totally own his heart, and whom he’d hold still for hours if they fell asleep on top of him, not even moving, though he might make faces about the camera and his sister and the impossibility of fighting Pile Cute to stop her.

I friggin’ teared up typing that! Like I want to see that kind of reaction from Steve on the show if/when Joan does something for him or reaches out to him bc she recognizes him.

What's your happiest memory of Joanie?

All of her firsts.

But especially her first word…rather first sound that I took for a word. It wasn’t Ma and Da, but St and she happened to say it when Steve came in the room and she held her arms up to him to be picked up.

The look on his face when she did that…it was like…just amazing. They both had matching smiles and it was like the room lighting up.
