YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES. without a doubt. he admires them. he thinks they're very cool. HELL YESS. (half projecting ngl) he probably spent some of his long ass life observing them near his house or wtv and was able to learn their dialect. he was then able to talk to them. the descendants of those crows still recognise him and are understood by him.

I love Fyodor, but he does NOT now how to play the Cello. Both the animators AND Harukawa butchered this scene and did him dirty. I don't even play the cello and as a guitar player it made me wanna jump. (I can't imagine what cello players felt fr 💔)
