You’ve had a long day, long week at that. Stressing out over insignificant things and becoming burnt out fast. By the end of it, all you wanted to do was rest.
With heavy eyelids you walk through your apartment door, slipping off your shoes and discarding your other belongings. You drag your feet over to the couch and plop down.
Closing your eyes and letting out a deep breath, when you hear footsteps approach from behind.
“Hi baby” “Hi señorita” you hear simultaneously. You turn around to see your two boyfriends with their hands intertwined, looking down at you with sweet smiles.
“Hi” you say back, giving them a lazy grin.
Unlatching their fingers from each other, they both move to sit on either side of you on the couch.
“How was your day, love?” your black haired boyfriend asks as your other boyfriend gently places a hand on your thigh.
“Tiring….” you respond with a small sigh, sinking farther into the couch cushions.
“Sorry to hear that, baby” your purple haired boyfriend hums as he reaches a hand up to caress your hair.
Catching the others eye, they give one another a knowing look. They’ve both noticed how hard you have been working the past couple days and how you’ve been coming back more and more drained. It pains them to see you so tired.
“You know, you don’t have to be this hard on yourself, love” Namgyu murmurs, rubbing your shoulder.
You close your eyes and let out another deep sigh. You can already feel the tears start to form.
“Yeah, you’ve been working your ass off for days babe, you deserve a break” Subong chimes in as he runs a tattooed finger through your hair.
You pause pensively before speaking, “I know, I just- I’m sorry for burdening you guys with this, I didn’t want to bring this home. I just thought…. I could handle it all.” you sniffle in response.
“It’s no burden love, we just get worried about you and want to make sure you’re doing okay” “You know, we’re always going to be here to support you” your black haired boyfriend says as his hand moves from your shoulder to your back, tracing comforting circles.
“Yeah baby, we’re always going to be right here, and don’t worry about that silly stuff, with how smart and hardworking you are you’re going to get through it” your purple haired boyfriend affirms.
With each word of encouragement you start to feel the weight of the week lift off your shoulders and chip away a little.
“Thank you both, I don’t know what I’d do without you” you lean into Subong’s chest and take Namgyu’s hands into yours.
“Of course love, Is there anything we can do for you?” Subong questions with a hand still petting your hair.
“Of course we can, pretty girl” Namgyu springs up off the couch with a grin, already making his way over to your shared room. “You better not hog the blankets though.”
You climb into bed to find your partners once again move to opposite sides of you, laying down and pulling you into a warm embrace once under the covers.
Namgyu lays his head on your chest, hearing your heartbeat and Subong nuzzles into your neck, hearing your breathing.
This is always pure comfort to them and to you as well.
“I love you both” slips from your mouth as your eyes flutter closed, staring to doze off.
“Love you too, pretty” “Love you so much, señorita” muffled voices say as they both press a kiss onto you.
Despite the stress of the long week, you feel warm entangled in your blankets and your boyfriend’s arms.
