The Postcard Club
I was never much good at joining things but I’ve joined The Postcard Club which is just a really cool thing set up by the illustrator Ed Cheverton and it lives here:

The Postcard Club promotes handmade postcard swaps between artists around the world, as well as celebrating the wonderful practice of mail art.
If you want to swap postcards you just contact any of the artists on the members list, or invite anyone you would like to get involved in a swap with you.
Once that’s done, you just send details to Ed and thats it, you’re a member!
This is my first swap, I did an analogue version of the Finlay MacQueen picture because let’s face it, everyone needs at least one postcard of a man sitting with a puffin he caught and stuffed himself.
I swapped with a lovely illustrator called Nancy Halsam-Chance who sent me a card with an image of a block of Cannel Coal being raised at Wigan Junction Colliery in 1893. The figures in the foreground are the young girls who worked down the mine - ‘The Pit Brown Lassies’.
Nancy and her amazing work lives here:

It was great fun to do and we’re about to embark on another swap, so I’m really looking forward to that one too
