Nancy Drew: Secrets Can Kill - Book vs. Game

!!Spoilers Ahead!!

I finished reading the book version of Secrets Can Kill and thought I'd do a comparison. I know I'm not the first person to do something like this, but I had fun discovering the differences for myself. The book was a lot more similar to the game than I thought it would be!

Similarities:

Boiler room 

Culprit: Mitch Dillon 

Nancy is confronted with a gun 

Misc differences:

Nancy is called on the case for vandalism and theft, not murder

Nancy is sent a threatening VHS tape 

Nancy and Daryl have a mutual attraction for one another (in the game it’s pretty one-sided) 

Nancy and Ned are in a sorta-kinda open relationship 

Judo is mentioned on pg. 88 as something that Nancy has taken classes in (no mention of Connie doing judo) 

The diner is called “The Red Caboose” instead of Maxine’s 

Characters:

Journalist Brenda Carlton interferes with the case 

Hannah Gruen, Bess and George feature (plus Bess’ boyfriend Alan)
