I've decided I'm gonna use a tag for those opinions that are basically just me complaining about takes and other things I think are dumb but don't want to main tag. If negativity isn't your thing feel free to block the tag 'sometimes you need to scream into the void'. It probably won't get used much as in general I try to be positive on this blog, but sometimes a girl needs to vent.

You know it's impressive considering what the Soldiers and Seekers have been dealing with that I feel like the Schemers are the ones who are going to be most exhausted when they all meet up. Can't imagine having to be doing all this investigation, fighting and rescuing of students/employees while also working your 9-5.

Azune being so straight-forward and down to do anything for the people he cares about is just the best. Just casually going around implying or downright confirming he'll kill people like that's a normal thing to do. Also love that Murray didn't blink an eye and confirmed she too would kill for Azune. Just delightful all round
Well, Hal is going to have a breakdown at some point from all the repressed emotions he's determined to keep down. I for one can't wait to see what will be the last straw that will break him.

A Date is Won
After a short battle, Dorian wins the date he longed for. Orym agrees, and they spend an evening under the stars.
Watched the first episode of C4 and man it was good. I love all the characters and adore the fact that a lot of them have years of history with each other or have knowledge of other people at the very least. It creates such a fun dynamic and helps bring you into this new world so quickly. Looking forward to seeing where this goes and finding out more about the characters and world.

Chapter: A Gamble of the Heart
Summary: Dorian is surprised to find Orym's midnight rendezvous is actually a training session. Their session quickly becomes more serious though when Dorian decides to make things more interesting with a wager on their first bout.
Well C4 is looking to be very interesting and a lot of fun. Looking forward to seeing how they all split and how the story will go

An Unexpected Surprise
Summary: After his victory in the battle, Dorian finds out his deadline for securing marriage has been extended. A surprise that is followed by even more in the next few days.
Day by day, hand in hand together. The future full of so much uncertainty, but you can face it knowing your love can be an anchor that keeps you afloat.
While C3 didn't end up being the best story in the world, I did enjoy many things that came from it. Orym is one of my favourite CR characters, Robbie was an excellent addition to the cast and truly came into his own as a player. Dorian is an amazing character and the relationship he and Orym built is lovely. Seeing VM and the M9 again was a lot of fun too. Also loved learning more about the gods. The wider implications outside of Bells Hells give a lot of intriguing possibilities for future stories that hopefully will be explored to the full. For all its faults, I'm still glad it exists.
Laudna and Ashton, truly the least empathetic people in the room. What do you mean you're irritated because people aren't thanking you for destroying everything they've devoted their lives too? You think they're mad they have to work on themselves? How are you this emotionally dense?
This could have been a story where Bells Hells realised that the gods intentions and actions of going behind the Divine Gate were good and worked for a time, but that the distance it created ultimately caused a situation where their wants and desires could be warped to whatever a mortal wanted it to be. On coming to this conclusion, they could have then figured out a way to change this (without going with Ludinus's plan) where a better balance could be struck for this era. They could have discussed the issues with the Concord, pointing out that the Vanguard didn't come from a vacuum and that not everything mortals have done on behalf of the gods has been good. Arguing that maybe instead of working for the gods, they can work with them. Acknowledge the difficulties and challenges, but reasoning that it could be worth it and Bells Hells would be at the centre ensuring its success. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't, but surely something needs to change? They convince the Concord, stop Ludinus, leave Predathos where he is, and then go and convince the gods to become mortal. They agree and a new era is born.
This way, Bells Hells would have actually driven the story a bit more, shown they understood the implications for the rest of the world and would take responsibility for what their choices caused. Plus you know, some character growth for them all in some way. Like i'm obviously not saying this should have been the story, but at least it would feel more intentional and not a last minute plan that they had to put together cause they did what the villain wanted.

A Test of Strength
Summary: Dorian and Orym have been selected to fight each other to show the skills of their people. Both men give it their all, but only one victory is secured.
