It’s been quite a while since I’ve updated this blog, as this title would inform you. So, you can imagine my surprise to the traffic it’s received in the past couple of months.
I don’t have intentions of continuing to create content for this blog. There is so very little material out there about Brian Jones relative to the rest of the career of The Rolling Stones. That was one of the reasons why I created this blog in the first place - to give credit where credit was due. Brian was the founding member of The Rolling Stones and a virtuoso well ahead of his time in terms of musicianship. But his repeated drug scandals clouded these aspects of his career throughout history.
That is all to say that I am happy to see there are still users who appreciate what I’ve put together here. Although I still enjoy the music, I can’t say I’m even half the classic rock fan I used to be, much less an active member of any classic rock fandom. But Brian and his memory have stayed with me consistently. I feel so passionately that he should be acknowledged for being the catalyst for one of the greatest rock n’ roll groups of all time.
Thank you to everyone who has been interacting with these posts in spite of an absence of updates. I’ll answer questions if they continue, but otherwise I think I reached my content limit with this subject a long time ago. I appreciate your interest and enthusiasm all the same!
