If we fired every scientist who blew up huge portions of the station, we wouldn't have that many scientists.

I say this because I've noticed quite a few refugees being allowed to wander the station just fine, but I've been shot for looking like a Syndicate agent several times, and my false imprisonment count is 62 as of writing this.

You really need a contract... What, are you just working on our stations without getting paid? Is the Syndicate still paying you? Send them a letter of resignation already! Of course you're being shot. How can you possibly be loyal to Nanotrasen if you've been here for as long as you have and you're still not officially working for us? You could be a spy for all I know. We allow refugees only because they usually go on to leave the Syndicate after seeing our beautiful NT stations. But YOU haven't done anything like that. What are you? A stowaway? Get a job.

I have not been offered a contract. At all. And I cannot send a proper resignation letter to the Syndicate because I do not know the legal name of my chassis and most identifiers know me by my nickname at this point anyway. Even if I could, I still have their emblem on the back of my chassis and I still have the same colour palette as a bloodred, so I'd get shot anyway.

Could I be a spy? Maybe, I can't exactly prove one way or another. I've been working on NT stations for a little over seven years now, working Epistemics, Logistics, and as of recently, Engineering. So I'll have you know, I do have a job. It's just that I'm not legally registered under NT and I'm also not being paid for it by either side.

Your hostility and assumptions do not instill confidence, Ms. Clyde. I've read up on the Standard Operating Procedure of NT stations, at least in the sector I'm in, and execution & permanent confinement are reserved for capital crimes. Are you saying Security is justified in ignoring that and shooting me anyway?

Hm, that does clear things up a bit. I do think you have to request an interview and then receive a contract. We accept people with little to no documentation fairly often, and what with you working for us already I have no doubt you'll be hired. In fact, it could be argued that it's illegal to not hire you. As for not looking like a hostile Syndicate agent, I would suggest finding yourself some paint you like. We look forward to you joining the team!

Ss14 is such an amazing game because it naturally gives both incredibly badass moments (Back to back with a priest in crusader armor to fight a Slasher), hilarious moments (Clown nukies ft. banana peel minigun), and stupid moments (every single time I have walked into the bridge bc command doesn't use their airlock properly)

There's a special place in hell for crew members who run into the bridge when command is running in and out in a crisis.

I mean, don't you literally clone entire new bodies for most crewmembers inbetween shifts? Even in the worst case scenario, where cloning is difficult because of genetic damage, it's very much treatable.

Though, on that note, is there a particular reason why you don't let crewmembers keep any, like, space organs, or cybernetic parts or anything like that between shifts? Feels a little counter-productive.

Well, this is not my area of expertise, but I believe it's because of rejection. While the part may last the shift with little to no side effects, immunosuppressants are more expensive and dangerous than just growing a new part.

I am so tired. Each shift hurts me more and more and I don't know how much longer I can deal with it.

It is so tiring, but if I don't work these high profile jobs, who else is going to? I hurt but there is no way to stop it.

Last year alone, NT gave away over a hundred thousand completely free* scholarships to prospective command members across all departments.

This is a great way to become a command member, if you're interested! A huge portion of command members I know got their roles this way (though this may be partially because I review applications from time to time).
