I was talking with @eldrxtch about how it can be hard to draw a character from FFXIV when you're not used to drawing the race they're actually from (e.g. drawing a Lalafell but defaulting to more natural head proportions)

While watching him draw his character Daoloth with and without refs, I elected to do something similar- namely trying to emulate the game's appearance of Bori, drawing him how I always do, tracing a screenshot, then drawing him stylistically based on said screenshot. It was fun, especially since my hands haven't wanted to cooperate with me today!

Designing scale mail is hard when there's little to no existing basis for it. The closest thing we have is technically splint, I think.

I don't have much of an explanation for this one, it just started as a mindless doodle of a bad end for Bori in ShadowBringers and then next thing I knew I was attempting lighting on it.

Sometimes you do a drawing for a friend. Sometimes it's a years-owed commission. Sometimes, you're happy with it regardless of the reason why you made it.

This was originally just gonna be the head so that I could figure out the horn shape my sona has, but nope! Inspiration bit, and now I have a low-poly model of my sona. Came back the next morning and added clothes, which I'd built over the old torso that was just a cube.

Sometimes you have to make quick crappy redraws of cat pictures with your sona instead, as a little enrichment.

It has come to my attention that I never posted this pic of Lockyer from 2024, back when I was playing them in Pathfinder. I wanted to kinda go all-out with jewelry, but at the same time keep in mind that it takes a lotta gold to cover someone who's 15ft tall.

The pants were a magic item gifted by another teammate that gave them a tunneling speed, but sadly the game ended before I could put them to good use (not 100% on if they wanna be tagged or not)

There's an alt version, but I'll save that for another day, perhaps.

I found some Bori doodles from April 2024 where I drew him as the 5 main races in Dungeon Meshi. Remembering it existed compelled me to give it another go, with some extra additions.
