General tips on design / levelling up / Networking
Shape language/design tips: tools define design, so just experiment with different techniques, tools, play around and experiment, take reference from photos or observational drawing, it's more about quantity than quality until you feel comfortable with it, kind of like learning a new language. fear of competition / not finding a job / not finding a place in the industry tips:
This one is the trickiest question because the fear never goes away, specially in an industry in crisis, constantly changing, old techniques endangered to dissapear due to new technology, genAI, lack of motivation, lack of time, loss of interest, lack of energy, injuries due to repetitive actions, burnout.
I just keep doing what I love, and doing my best, realizing what my limitations are, realizing what are the things that are out of my control and trying to live one day at a time, one drawing at a time, one line at a time. Following my curiosity, and going out of my comfort zone whenever is possible. Trust the process, Keep calm and draw on. Learning skills is more about being tenacious, delaying gratification and being calm in the uncomfortable zone. Is more about personality than talent, although talented people do exist.
