TS3 Grow Mod

Stumbled across this interesting mod while upgrading my game and I wanted to share it here for later. It allows your sim to physically progress as they age by getting taller, curvier, and having voice changes. It adds nice realism!

I got tired of my sims just sitting around neglecting their house and responsibilities, so I made some changes to push them to be productive. Most interactions were only autonomous for sims with the neat trait, so I made cleaning a priority for all sims except for slobs.

Made changes to the laundry system. Sims will do the whole laundry process autonomously. The process includes doing laundry, drying clothes in both the dryer and on the clothesline, and getting clean laundry from both the dryer and clothesline. Sims will also pick up their dirty clothes from the floor.

All cleaning interactions listed below are now a priority to sims.

Wash dishes (sims will prefer to use the dishwasher if they have access to one)

Clean counter

Clean Stove

Clean toilet

Clean shower, sink and bathtub

Clean Litterbox

Bathe pet

Feed pet and fill pet bowl

Take out trash

Mop puddles

Put away books and toy box toys

Hey guys!

So, there are lot of different places you can download EA’s store content. The purpose of how I do it was to give you the option to pick and choose the items you want. Everything is individualized, but since I’ve finished the majority of the work, there’s been a lot of asks for an easy way to download everything in one go. I’ve slowly been uploading bulk versions of each set, but that’s not exactly what you’re all asking for right?

This is the best compromise I found. My store content folder looks like this:

(FORGOTTEN is what I call the limited sets that you can’t find on the store anymore. ie: Dr Pepper sets)

I have merged every piece of store content I’ve uploaded in these 6 huge files (the biggest is 2GB) with the separated folder for content that also needs to standalone to work properly. 

THIS works for me. BUT

It doesn’t mean it will work for everyone. I’ve decided to share these, but I cannot guarantee this format will work for you and I will not be uploading a different set up. I will not be helping you troubleshoot problems associated to this - you download and use at your own risk.

You’ll find the 6 files and folder to put in your Mods/Packages.

ADDITIONALLY, you’ll find a folder containing all the store content lots that you have to place in your Library folder.

FINALLY, you’ll find a folder containing all my .world files with a ReadMe.txt explaining where they go depending on where you got the game.

Everything has been compressed using https://www.7-zip.org/ because I have limited google drive storage.

Sims 3 Performance Boost Patch Collection

Hey everyone, here's another spicy experimental thingy from me. Emphasis: experimental. Please back up your saves! I haven't found any issues, but you should err on the safe side!

I'm resisting the urge to write this description as a winding story about why this thing exists and how so here's as quick a rundown as I can manage:

This is an ASI mod (like Smooth Patch or Settings Setter) that goes into your Bin folder and does its thing at runtime.

Depending on your setup, it might significantly speed up loading times from game launch to in-world. In one of my saves, it went down from over 18 minutes down to between 3 and 4.

It should also reduce memory usage (specifically, the 'virtual address space'--the real reason for Error 12 and memory-related crashes). How much depends on your setup, but it could be up to several hundred MB.

In-game stutters and especially multi-minute freezes (if you experience those) should be shorter and fewer overall. Not gone, but much more playable.

This mainly works on retail and Steam versions of the game. Many of the patches won't activate on EA App version. You can still use it, and might still reap some benefits, but the strongest patches aren't supported yet. It's in the pipeline, though, so stay tuned.

You need an ASI loader for the mod to load (like the wininet.dll from Ultimate ASI loader). If you use any other ASI mod, like Smooth Patch or Settings Setter, you likely already have it.

sims3fiend et al for Sims 3 Settings Setter. This mod started out as a "Settings Setter lite" for personal use because Setter proper added a little too much VAS for my bloated save's liking. But all the S3SS patches are removed from this release version. You can use them together freely if you want all the patches.

💗I made this mod so that certain careers in The Sims 3 actually carry real risk. Cops can die in the line of duty, criminals can get taken out on the job, firefighters can lose their lives, and military Sims can be randomly deployed for several days with a risky chance of death while deployed.

💗This mod runs completely in the background. Your Sims just go to work like normal and the mod decides who’s coming back, who’s getting deployed, and who’s not making it home.

💗Examples of how you guys could use it:

✨Play a legacy where certain generations are shaped by a tragic on-the-job death. ✨Have a Criminal Sim disappear after a big score goes wrong. ✨Roleplay a Military family where mom or dad is suddenly deployed for 4–12 days, and everyone waits to see if they survive.

💗Core Features:

💗High-Risk Career Fatalities (Background Only) • Law Enforcement – When a cop Sim goes to work, there’s a tunable chance they’ll be killed “in the line of duty.” • Criminal – Criminal career Sims can be killed during dangerous jobs, with a custom notification explaining what happened. • Firefighter – Firefighters risk dying while responding to emergencies. • All career deaths use a tunable death type (kDeathType, default Electrocution)

💗Military Deployments (Not Just Instant Death) • Military Sims are treated differently, they don’t just drop dead at the work door. • In the evening (roughly 6 PM–10 PM), the mod checks active-household Military Sims who are at home. • If they pass the deployment roll (kMilitaryPercent), they’ll go on deployment for several days in the military rabbit hole instead of just living a normal routine. • A notification announces that your Sim has been deployed on an overseas tour of duty.

💗Random Deployment Length (4–12 Days) • Each deployment lasts a random amount of time between kDeploymentMinDays and kDeploymentMaxDays (by default, 4–12 sim days). • The deployment length is stored per Sim, so they won’t get “stuck away forever”

Useful TS3 shortcuts you might not know about - quickly copy and recolor! (GIF)

• Hold Shift while dragging a palette to recolor the entire floor or wall

• Ever get frustrated copying objects with an eyedropper? Hold Shift and place the selected object to copy it without loading it! Works in both Build or Buy modes, can copy Debug objects with no codes ;)

• Hold Shift and drag fence or wall tool to create a room; hold Ctrl to remove the wall or fence

These shortcuts have saved me lots of time! I rarely use both sledgehammer and eyedropper :) By the way, the support team has said that my tumblr is finally unbanned! Whew, let's see!
