Adrenaline pumped through my veins, substituting the raging pain. My two broken finger became useless when I needed to fight back most, a headache making my head feel like it was condensing by the very second. Wistar had his time to use his power over me, death would soon come but it wouldn’t arrive as a failure. He did not fuel any fear deep beneath, only showed his obvious coward traits by attacking someone with a fairly low chance. Christians would say he would take a visit to Hell for being an ignorant killer, but I didn’t care about Wistar and the ego boosted boy's future.

Important events of the day: Ate for the first time, heard someone go up the mountain but retrieve when a canon boomed, in reaction to the all day darkness I didn't take the risk of crossing the bridge, made it to the top of the mountain.

Forever Night || Day 2 OS

I hadn’t eaten or drank anything since the Capitol suite. And my stomach was not agreeing with my mishaps.

My stomach started to curl again as I twisted my legs together and held my head in my hands. After waking up to complete darkness, I felt my body practically begging for some kind of source of energy. But every move made my stomach hurt even more. As if on command, a parachute floated down next to my sloppy-rolled up sleeping bag. Thankfully, the aggravating dark training refreshed some of my picked up skills. I could travel up higher without wishing for night vision goggles but I’d have to focus and advance my own hearing.

After three worrying canons I slowly picked at the soup and green apple, knowing that the slower a human ate the more full they would seem to become. Footsteps started to tap quietly up the hill. My breath caught in my throat in fear, I shouldn’t fear anyone it would make me more vulnerable but as much as I said I wanted to just die and see the after life, I was not ready. Quietly I scooted closer to the boulder in hiding. The pitter patter of walking soon faded, a couple screams echoed, a canon, then returning footsteps.

I remember reading in the library about human sacrifices, somehow the sounds of a homicide reminded me. There were rituals for each certain sacrifice such as chants, certain cuts, the way each person was murdered and where for what reason. It was an odd subject to get into, but most had reasons for sacrifices whether it was for rain or a ritual to get something in return from the Gods.

I slid the sleeping bag under my left arm and started to make my way higher up the mountain after hearing a faint splash. On the hike to the peak of the arena the air got a bit more chillier signaling that night was coming soon. The one thing that frightened me when night came was no watch out, I was all on my own and had to depend on my unconscious body to react fast enough.

Faintly, I could see the swinging of a rope hanging off the bridge as the waterfall roared.

The fallen's anthem breached through the arena's dead silence. A few faces passed in the sky as my heart beat started to pick up, there were four canons through the day. My nails dug into the sleeping bag, waiting for the last picture to form into Isobel's appearance.

I bit down on the side of my cheek, waiting for the universal deceased song to cut off and squeezed my eyes shut. Isobel couldn't have died, she had to have some kind of alliance. How could they let her sweet soul down? How could Gabriel? She was too kind, too friendly to just die in the process of fighting for what she desired for, but I guess that's what we're all here for.

I kissed three of my fingers before holding them up to the sky.

A faint beeping noise can be heard over the sound of the waterfall. Landing on top of Nara’s lap is a parachute! She opens it to find a bowl of soup and an apple. Along with it comes a note.

Tomorrow's A Mystery || OS

I kept my pace as I decide to hike up what looked like a rocky mountain. There may or may not have been any other tributes traveling in my wake farther back, I didn’t check much; if another tributes was planning to get my life over right now I’d prefer I didn’t know who was coming, I could of heard them anyway if I had any predators. My mind needed to be blank.

GM Persephone: Ladies and gentlemen, next up is the adorable Nara Chicael of District Seven! *crowd claps and hollers*

Nara: Hello, Ms. Persephone, *smiles and sits down*

GM Persephone: Hello, sweetheart. You look adorable in your dress, I just love it. *smiles as the crowd cheers* It seems they love you as well. How are you feeling with all this attention on you? Excited? Nervous?

Nara: Why thank you *giggles while looking out to the crowd* Attention? *raises eyebrows* It doesn't really fade me, *laughs*

GM Persephone: Me neither. *winks and laughs* So, let's get right into then. You're from District Seven, a beautiful district I might add. If you could, would you go back to Seven; forgetting everything that's happened to you here?

Nara: *Looks down at lap* I don't think I would, I've met a few people here that I would never want to forget even if it meant my life. *smiles at crowd*

GM Persephone: *crowd awws* Puppy love? Kidding, kidding. *winks and laughs* But on the serious note, these people you talk about. Are we going to see them in the arena by your side? Or are you taking the lone track?

Nara: *laughs* I'm not completely sure, they have their own people to take care of. Whether they're here or at home.

GM Persephone: Well, no matter what the case is I'm sure you'll do perfectly fine! Speaking of, do you think you are ready for the arena?

Nara: Sure, you can say that. I don't think anyone can be 'prepared' *put quotations around word* for the arena since its always a cocktail of surprises.

GM Persephone: Very true. Let me just say that this year's arena will always keep you on your toes. *crowd cheers* Nara, before we finish up, tell me a little about home. Or your family?

Nara: *dryly laughs* Home is just another noun to me, and my family is just another group of breathing human beings. My home has always been myself.

GM Persephone: *crowd lets out a sad aw* Oh, that's too bad. Well, you know what you're going to do then? You're going to win this for yourself and prove everyone wrong! *crowd claps* Is there anything you want to say before time's up?

Nara: I'd just like to say you can't compare tributes to a number. Everyone has their hidden skills. *waves at crowd with a smile*
