wriothesley doesn’t really know how “i’ll see you later” became “i’ll visit your grave again soon.”
there were days where he could convince himself that he was okay, desperately trying to forget that you laid beneath the earth instead of your shared bed at home. his demeanor at work may look the same, but he can’t seem to hide the way his hands shook every time someone mentions your name. he didn’t like the way they offered their condolences. that sympathetic gaze, the hushed whispers of the the prisoners, as if you were truly gone. he just couldn’t accept it.
it wasn’t like him to delude himself into false realities, but what else could he do? just a few days ago, you were sitting beside him, laughing at the way his hair resembled wolf ears and how you had hoped for your future children to look just like him.
at night, he hugs the blankets tightly, trying to mimic the warmth you used to give off, desperately searching every inch of the sheets for any scent of you left, but it was gone, leaving him with nothing left.
the days and nights were torture without you. everyday was an endless cycle of grief that seemed to claw his chest out. in the end, he was left alone again. maybe he was just meant to live a life like this.
or
maybe if he prayed hard enough, you’d come back.
—but there was nothing but the sounds of his sobs, echoing throughout the empty room…and the ring that sits on the bedside table, untouched. unused. never seeing the light of day.
he wonders what life would be like if he was able to call you his wife, imagining a future that was never meant to be.

You always had great grades, the model student people looked up to or envied.
So how the hell did you end up needing a tutor?
Physics. that’s how. no matter how hard you tried, your grades kept sinking, dragging down your otherwise perfect record.
"I don’t understand," you mutter, staring at your latest test. "I study, I try-"
"Which is exactly why it’s frustrating," your professor sighs, adjusting his glasses. "you're brilliant, yet physics keeps holding you back."
You pinch the bridge of your nose. "I’ve done every extra worksheet, every review session-"
"Which is why I’m assigning you a tutor."
"A tutor??" you exclaim, deflated. never in your life did you think you’d need one.
And that’s how you ended up here. in the library. waiting for him.
Sim Jaeyun. The quiet, keep-to-himself guy with a small circle of friends. The one who nerds out over anything and everything science and math. Hooray.
No one really paid much attention to him, except for those who picked on him. You never really had a reason to notice him either. But you had to admit, even with all that awkward energy, he was still ridiculously good-looking.
And yet, that said attractive nerd was 15 minutes late.
The library was eerily quiet. Most students had already left, the after-school emptiness making the stillness even more pronounced.
Suddenly, a loud thump broke the silence.
You turned toward the libary entrance just in time to see jake stumbling in, books slipping from his arms, backpack barely clinging to his shoulder, papers fluttering to the floor.
wow. what a mess.
You immediately stood up and rushed over to help him pick up his things.
Jake's eyes widened as he finally registered who was crouching beside him. Miss Perfect, the girl everyone admired (or feared), mere inches away.
"oh no- I’m so sorry- I didn’t mean to- you don’t have to-"
He paused, staring at you.
wow she looks prettier close up-
jake. SNAP OUT OF IT-
"What? oh no, it’s fine, let me help." you say, crouching down to pick up the scattered papers.
"I- woah, wait- are you here for tutoring?" The boy in front of you pauses, eyes widening in shock as he hurriedly pushes his thick-framed glasses back up his nose.
You nod slowly, just as confused as he is. "yes…? you’re my tutor…"
"Oh- yes- uhm- I’m so sorry I’m late!" jake stammers, clearly flustered. "Professor Kim needed my help with some files, and then I had to drop off books at the teachers’ lounge, and then I bumped into junho, seojin, and the other jocks, and then-"
"Woah, okay, calm down, jake. it’s fine. catch your breath, you’re turning red" you cut him off, grabbing the last of the papers that flew everywhere.
Jake exhales sharply, still looking beyond apologetic. "I’m so sorry, we can start now- I didn’t mean to hold you up." He bows slightly before mumbling a quick thank you, then makes his way toward the study table.
And let’s be real, you were the one holding him here. After all, you were the one who needed tutoring after class hours.
You raise an eyebrow before following after him, both of you settling into your seats, awkward tension thick in the air.
"So, um… nice to meet you, jake. I’m-"
"Miss model student…" he cuts you off, catching you completely off guard. Your mouth falls open, frozen in place.
"Oh- uh- I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to interrupt" jake stammers. "I was just… curious. you’re, like, the top student, so I was confused when I saw you were scheduled for tutoring with me…"
Clearly, your reputation preceded you- maybe a little too much.
"Yeah, well, I’m not perfect" you sigh, rubbing your temple. "physics has been eating me out lately."
Jake stiffens. his face flushes. his mind had clearly gone somewhere else.
Noticing his reaction, you sit up abruptly, waving your hands. "I mean- physics has just been really difficult…" you clarify, trying to clear the air.
Jake coughs, avoiding eye contact. "I uh- you- anyways! let’s just start, yeah?" He fumbles to open his physics textbook, practically using it as a shield to hide his face.
You raise an eyebrow, amused. "wow, already hiding? what, scared of me or the equations?"
Jake exhales dramatically. "you and physics. a deadly combination."
"Rude. I’m very approachable."
"Sure" jake snorts, flipping a page.
And just like that, tutoring begins.
Jake rambles on and on about different lessons, effortlessly explaining formulas and theories. In all honesty, you were shocked by how good he was at tutoring, his words flowed naturally, making even the most complicated concepts kind of make sense.
Your jumbled confusion on each topic slowly but surely started clearing up.
And that’s how it went for the next few weeks, meeting after class, studying together. The awkward air between you gradually faded as you got closer, sometimes taking breaks just to chat about the most random things.
At first, tutoring felt like a chore. but after a few sessions? jake realizes he kinda likes sitting here with you.
Maybe it’s the way you scribble furiously in your notebook. maybe it’s the way your brow furrows when you’re thinking.
Or maybe…just maybe. it’s the fact that you’re actually listening to him.
Somewhere between lessons and lingering study sessions, tutoring stopped feeling like an obligation.
Before jake knew it, you were part of his routine, eating lunch together, sometimes with his friends, sometimes without.
✧˖°.
Today was warm, the cafeteria buzzing with students, some focused on getting their nutrients for the day, others cramming like their lives depended on it.
And here you were, sitting at jake’s table with his buddies, eating pasta while reviewing for your upcoming test. jake was doing the same, his head buried in his notes.
Then, out of nowhere, a crumpled piece of paper hit him.
"Loser" junho sneered from the other table, his fellow jocks chuckling along.
Jake sighed, pulling the paper from his hair while his friends shot the jock a look of pure disgust.
"Don’t mind him, dude. he’s just a stupid, insecure jerk" sunghoon muttered.
You pick up the crumpled paper, rolling it between your fingers for a moment, then, with precise aim, you flick it back onto their table.
It lands with a heavy plop, right into junho’s tray.
Sauce splashes everywhere, streaking across the table, his shirt-
and right into his eye.
Junho jerks back, hissing through clenched teeth as he wipes his face.
The jocks freeze, stunned into silence, one of them lets out a snort, barely holding back a chuckle as junho wipes sauce from his eye.
Jake stares at you, full-body stunned.
"You know" you hum, you turn back to him and grabbing your notes, "newton’s third law says every action has an equal and opposite reaction."
You shoot Jake a knowing look.
"Consider that my demonstration."
Jake nearly chokes on air.
Holy shit. That was attractive.
All of a sudden, jay plops down beside jake, sighing dramatically.
"I’m so screwed. I haven’t studied for this exam at all."
"Same here" sunghoon mumbles, sipping his juice box. "I’m just gonna wing it at this point."
"Says you-" heeseung scoffs. "you could easily get a sports scholarship with your ice skating or whatever."
"Yeah, well, you probably need to maintain good grades either way to keep a scholarship, no?" jungwon muses, taking a bite out of his ham and cheese sandwich.
That’s when jay suddenly turns to you and jake, clasping his hands together in desperation.
"You gotta help me, guys. I cannot fail this" he pleads, pulling his best pouty face.
You let out a light chuckle while jake rolls his eyes dramatically.
"Maybe you should’ve thought of that before the test instead of right now" you remark, flipping a page in your book.
Jay only pouts harder before scooting closer to jake, peeking at his notes.
"What the- when did we even learn this?" jay’s face contorts in horror, barely comprehending the sheer complexity of jake’s notes.
"Oh, you are so cooked" jungwon laughs.
"Don’t act like you know what any of this means" jay retorts, picking up jake’s notebook and shoving it toward heeseung, jungwon, and sunghoon.
"I was reading that" jake deadpans, his lips pressed into a tight line.
"Oh shit, we are so cooked" sunghoon mutters as heeseung’s eyes widen at the mess of equations, symbols, and absolute nonsense scrawled across the pages.
The bickering between the four continues while you glance over at jake, who just wanted his notebook back. He’s pouting slightly.
Cute.
You tap Jake’s shoulder before sliding your notebook toward him.
"You can use my notes. they may not be exactly the same, but I’m sure they’re close enough" you say with a small smile.
Jake looks at you, a soft blush creeping onto his face.
"Oh- you didn’t have to- uhm- thank you" he stammers, smiling sheepishly as he takes the notebook and flips it open.
You scoot closer so you can both scan through the pages together, an innocent gesture on your part, but one that makes Jake short-circuit instantly.
He clears his throat, trying desperately to keep his cool.
Then, you start talking.
"I’m kinda scared for the physics test later" you mumble softly, glancing at him. The closeness doesn’t seem to bother you at all, meanwhile, jake is actively trying not to tweak out right then and there.
"You got this" he reassures, forcing himself to sound normal. "you studied hard for this. And all thanks to your amazing tutor." he wiggles his eyebrows playfully, trying to act smooth and nonchalant.
You giggle. "you’re right. thanks, yunie" you say, flashing him a smile before turning back to your notes.
Oh.
Oh, that nickname did numbers on him.
Jake really tries to focus on the words in the notebook… he really, REALLY does. but the words blur into meaningless scribbles. Velocity, acceleration, force-
Why did every physics term suddenly sound like it was describing his heart rate?
He is so down bad.
Not to mention, you’re extremely close to him right now.
How could someone so smart, so cool, so pretty be sitting this close to him?
Then, the bell rings.
Jake snaps out of his daze, blinking rapidly.
Crap.
So much for reviewing.
You get up and pack your things. "good luck to all of us" you say to the group.
"We lost the war before it even began" jay sighs in defeat.
"nice try, soldier" jungwon laughs, patting jay’s back in mock sympathy.
"See you guys in the afterlife" heeseung declares dramatically before walking off with sunghoon.
Just as you’re about to leave, jake gently places his hands on your shoulders, catching you off guard.
You turn to him, only to find him looking straight into your eyes, his soft smile warm and reassuring. His lips look plumper than usual-
Woah. What.
You snap out of it, quickly refocusing.
"You got this. I know you’re gonna ace this test" jake says, flashing that award-winning golden retriever smile, the one you’ve come to love and admire.
"Thank you, yunie. we got this" you smile back, determination running through you.
With that, you both head your separate ways, nervous, but confident.
✧˖°.
It had been a week, and to say you were nervous was an understatement.
You sat in your classroom, your friends chatting beside you, but you barely registered their voices. Your leg bounced up and down impatiently, eyes glued to the front, waiting for your latest physics test grade to drop.
The professor walked in, prompting everyone to rush to their seats.
"Okay, everyone! moment of truth. test grades" your professor announced, placing a thick stack of papers down on the desk.
One by one, names were called.
Then finally… yours.
You swallowed hard, standing up and making your way to the front.
This was it. the moment you had been waiting for. if you failed this, you’d be stuck with a C for the whole semester. which wasn’t the worst, but of course… you had standards.
You reached out for your paper, mentally preparing yourself.
And so what if you fail? It’s just a grade. grades don’t define you! what matters is that you tried your best. sure, you might be disappointed, but at least you didn’t give up. failing isnt the worse thing to happen, it just means you have more time to improve and do better next time-
"Well done. You passed with flying colors.” your professor said with a smile, handing you your paper.
An A.
A solid 92%.
No flippin way.
The moment class ended, you bolted out the door, excitement rushing through you.
And you only had one person in mind.
One person to thank.
Jake.
You looked around everywhere, scanning the halls, the field, anywhere he might be.
That’s when you stumbled upon Jay and Jungwon.
"Hey, have you guys seen jake? I’ve been looking for him everywhere" you panted, slightly out of breath.
"Oh, he rushed to the locker room. forgot his soccer uniform or something" jungwon responded.
You quickly thanked them before making your way toward the field locker room.
"Jake?" you called out, walking past the building near the soccer field. you were about to call out again when you heard it, voices coming from inside.
At first, you didn’t pay much attention.
Until you realized what they were talking about.
"You think you can just get away from me and stop being my personal puppy dog just because you have a girlfriend now? How did a low-life nerd like you even pull Miss Perfect?"
Seojin. one of those jocks.
You peeked into the locker room, heart pounding, only to see three jocks surrounding jake.
"I bet she doesn’t even like you" junho chuckled. "Probably just using you to keep her grades up."
"That’s not true" jake sighed, clearly exhausted and done with the whole charade.
Seojin laughed, stepping closer.
"Did you willingly kneel before her? follow her commands like the pushover you are? or did she seduce you or something? she looks like a sl—"
WACK.
Jake’s fist collided with Seojin’s face, the sharp impact echoing through the locker room.
You gasped softly, eyes widening in shock.
Seojin stumbled back, crashing onto the floor, while the other jocks froze, completely caught off guard by jake’s sudden action.
Jake exhaled sharply, his jaw clenched.
"Watch your mouth." he said lowly, stepping toward seojin, who was still on the ground.
"Talk me down, beat me up, do whatever you want. but don’t speak ill about her."
And with that, he turned and walked away.
You barely had time to process what had just happened before jake stepped outside, only to immediately spot you.
His eyes widened.
"What are you doing here?" jake asks, his voice laced with panic.
He looks truly petrified at the thought of you witnessing what had just happened in the locker room.
You just stare at him, like a deer caught in headlights.
"How long were you out here?" he asks again, softer this time.
"Long enough to see you punch seojin" you say, laughing lightly.
Jake’s soul visibly leaves his body.
Before you can say anything else, he grabs your wrist and drags you away from the locker room, leading you to a bench across the field.
Now seated, jake nervously fiddles with his fingers, looking everywhere but at you.
A moment of silence passes before he finally speaks.
"Did you hear what seojin said about you?"
You glance at him, a slight pout forming on your lips.
"Well… yeah, I did" you admit softly. "what he said is completely untrue, by the way. I’d never use you, jake."
Jake sighs, running a hand through his hair. The last thing he ever wanted was for you to get caught in his mess.
"I know" he murmurs. "I just can’t stand it when they talk badly about you."
You tilt your head, a teasing glint in your eyes.
“aww you care about me.” you smirk.
Jake playfully rolls his eyes at you.
"Keep this up, and I might start thinking you actually like me" you joke.
Jake exhales sharply, staring down at his hands.
"Yeah, well… maybe I do."
Your breath catches slightly.
Jake’s eyes widen, like he just realized what he said.
"OH- I mean, I don’t like you- no, I mean, I like and care about you, but not in that way. Or maybe in that way? I mean, yes, I do care for you, but ‘like’ is a big word, and you know, as a friend- so maybe I don’t like you? But I definitely do-"
Jake immediately slaps a hand over his mouth, effectively stopping himself from any further blabbering.
His face is fully red. His ears burning.
You stare at him, jaw slack, a blush of your own creeping onto your cheeks.
You blink at Jake, completely stunned.
Jake stares at you.
You stare at Jake.
Then without warning, he jumps up from the bench and starts sprinting across the field.
"JAKE?!" you yell, utterly baffled.
"Im sorry im not ready for this conversation yet!" he shouts over his shoulder, running like his life depends on it.
You groan, but instead of letting him escape, you take off after him.
"You don’t get to confess and flee, you coward!" you holler, feet pounding against the grass.
Jake shrieks, like actually shrinks, when he realizes you’re chasing him.
The two of you tear across the field in a ridiculous chase, neither willing to slow down. until jake realizes you’re actually catching up.
Panicking, he twists mid-run and blurts out, "okay fine i like you! stop chasing me!"
You stumble slightly, but keep running, laughing breathlessly. "then stop running and say it like a normal person!"
Jake comes to a stop, hands on his knees as he catches his breath. You skid to a stop beside him, arms crossed, waiting.
He looks up, cheeks flushed, eyes soft.
"I like you" he says, finally, properly.
You stare at him for a moment…
"Good, because I like you too" you grin.
Jake blinks. "wait… really??"
You laugh, nudging his shoulder. "yes you idiot."
Jake lets out a choked gasp, processing the moment, before dramatically falling onto the grass like he’s just been slain.
"I cannot believe this" he groans, staring up at the sky. "I nearly DIED from embarrassment just for you to like me back this whole time?"
You burst into laughter, collapsing onto the grass beside him.
"Maybe if you stopped running, you wouldn’t have suffered so much" you tease.
Jake turns his head to glare at you, breath still uneven.
"Never chase me again" he grumbles. "You are fucking terrifying when you’re running after me."
Despite the complaint, a small, sheepish smile tugs at his lips.
Jake dramatically throws his hands over his eyes. "I think this is the most emotionally exhausting tutoring session of my life."
You snort, nudging his arm. "tutoring? Pretty sure chasing you across the field wasn’t part of the lesson plan.”
"Actually 🤓☝️" Jake says, lifting a finger, "newton’s second law states that force equals mass times acceleration. In this scenario, your terrifying speed was the accelaration, my flimsy self was the mass, and the sheer impact of realizing I really, really like you was the force."
You blink at him. "did you just-"
Jake grins, finally sitting up. "see? I taught you physics and confessed my love all in one session. multi-talented."
You roll your eyes, laughing. "If only all your physics lessons were this entertaining."
"I’ll make them entertaining every time if it means you keep looking at me like that" jake murmurs, a soft smile tugging at his lips.
You pause, heat creeping up your face.
Jake’s eyes flicker with realization, and suddenly-

heeseung ── ⟢ ・⸝⸝ angel or dear
You were curled up on the couch, watching your favorite show, when your stomach let out a loud, rumble. As if on cue, Heeseung peeked his head around the corner of the living room.
"Heeey, my sweet angel, are you hungry?" he asked, his voice soft and warm.
Stepping fully into view, he held a steaming, delicious-looking bowl of ramyeon.
You eyed him suspiciously.
what a sweet gesture... but you knew better.
"What do you want, hee?" you chuckled, raising an eyebrow.
"What? Can't I just cook yummy ramyeon for my angel?" heeseung grinned sweetly, though the mischievous glint in his eyes gave him away. He placed the bowl on the coffee table in front of you.
You stared him down, knowing he was about to ask for something. heeseung tried to keep up his innocent act, but it didn’t last long.
"Ah, okay, fine! I know you’re not a big fan of games, but there’s this new multiplayer game I really want to play with you. PLEASE, PLEASE!"
He dramatically dropped to his knees, clinging onto your legs as if his life depended on it.
You couldn’t help but chuckle at his cuteness.
Gently cupping his cheeks, you lifted his face so he’d look into your eyes. His big, adorable doe gaze met yours, hopeful and pleading.
"Well, since you asked so nicely..." you teased, smiling at him. heeseung;s eyes lit up.
"Thank you so much, dear!" he cheered, instantly jumping up and dashing into the other room to grab the game disc.
jay ── ⟢ ・⸝⸝ honey or sweetheart
"Sweetheart, I love you so much, but please don’t touch that," jay exclaims from the other side of the kitchen.
You stand in front of a mixing bowl, ingredients laid out and ready to be combined, while jay works at another counter, slicing carrots with steady precision.
You huff. "okay, okay, uhh, I can just preheat the pan..?" you say, smiling up at him.
"honey, hold on, the other ingredients aren’t ready yet" Jay chuckles, continuing to cut the vegetables.
"Then maybe I can help you chop the veggies?" you suggest, making your way over to his station.
jay shakes his head with a small smile.
"Honey, it’s okay, I’m almost done." He carefully transfers the chopped veggies into separate bowls while you sulk beside him.
"I want to help you cook. You always cook for me, so I wanna learn so I can cook for you too" you pout, looking at him with determination.
Jay glances over, his expression softening as a fond smile tugs at his lips. "That’s really sweet of you, hon" he chuckles, placing a gentle peck on your forehead. "Okay, okay, you can help me season the meat."
You instantly brighten, rushing to the refrigerator to grab the ground beef and seasonings. jay leans against the counter, watching you with amusement, taking in how adorably excited you look, how you practically light up with energy. He lets out a happy sigh, warmth filling his chest as you carefully place the ingredients onto the counter.
"Thank you, sweetheart" jay murmurs, before pressing another soft kiss to your temple.
"Okay, let’s do this!" he grins, pumping his fist in the air. "Fighting!"
The rest of the afternoon unfolds as a cute little cooking session with your best boyfriend, jay. Filled with laughter, stolen glances, and the kind of warmth that makes even a simple meal feel special.
jake ── ⟢ ・⸝⸝ baby or babe
Jake had been begging you to visit a cute little pet shop with him for one of your dates, and today was finally the day.
Who would have thought your heart would explode from this much cuteness?
"Baby, look how cute she is" jake pouted hard, cradling a tiny puppy in his arms. He looked up at you with puppy eyes of his own, practically mirroring the little fluffball in his grasp.
It was like looking at long-lost siblings, both gazing up at you with the same soft, irresistible expression.
"Baby, can we keep her?" jake whined, his pout growing even more dramatic.
You sighed, chuckling as you crouched down to pet the puppy. "See, this is why I didn’t wanna come here. I knew you’d want another dog. Don’t we already have our fur baby, Layla?"
"Babe, this is exactly why we need another one!" Jake pleaded, lifting the puppy higher, her tiny paws resting against his chest. "Layla gets lonely… she can be a big sister!"
You shook your head, uncertain. "jakey, I don’t know…" you murmured, biting your lip. "Can we really handle another dog?"
Jake sighed, pressing the puppy against his face again, both of them wearing matching pleading expressions, the kind you knew you’d always fold to.
"You’re already a great dog mom, babe," Jake teased, sneaking a quick peck onto your cheek. You groaned, already feeling yourself caving.
"Okay, fine! You win this time, sim jaeyun," you chuckled, standing up to head toward the counter.
"Let’s go! Thank you so much, baby!" jake giggled, chasing after you with the tiny puppy still nestled in his arms.
He glanced down at her, beaming. "Looks like you’re getting a new home, cutie."
sunghoon ── ⟢ ・⸝⸝ love or lovie
Sunghoon had decided that for your third monthsary, he was going to take you shopping, there was nothing he wanted more than to spoil the love of his life.
The two of you wandered through the mall, browsing clothes, cosmetics, and little trinkets, enjoying the easy rhythm of the day.
You were in a little clothing store, immersed in a clothing rack, examining fabric choices, while sunghoon had wandered off to the other side of the store.
That was, until-
"Lovie! Lovie! Look at this!"
His voice was bright, filled with excitement, pulling your attention toward him. You turned to find him holding up a very cute coat, his eyes shining as he grinned at you. Your own eyes glistened with interest as you walked toward him.
"Do you think it’s cute, love? I think it’ll look really cute on you" sunghoon beamed, handing you the coat.
You gasped softly, running your fingers across the soft inner lining. "Ooo, this is really cute, hoon" you said in awe.
But before you could admire it for too long, sunghoon reached for another coat, an identical one, just a bigger size.
Your eyes widened. "Lovie! We can match!" he exclaimed, a playful smile tugging at his lips.
"YES! hoon, that’s such a cute idea!" you giggled, barely having a second to react before he grabbed both coats, and your hand, before making a beeline for the counter.
"hoon-ah, slow down! The coats aren’t going anywhere!" you laughed, trying to keep up with his excitement.
Sunghoon paused momentarily, looking back at you with a sheepish grin.
"hehe, sorry, love. I just wanna match with you already," he said, placing a small peck on your temple before dragging you toward the register once more.
sunoo ── ⟢ ・⸝⸝ sweetie or peach
You and sunoo strolled down a slightly busy street, the morning air crisp and pleasant. The clouds painted a soft, dreamy shade over the city, the perfect balance of warmth and coolness. Sunlight spilled through the trees as leaves fluttered gently in the breeze.
The two of you chatted, jumping from one topic to the next, until something caught Sunoo’s eye.
"Sweetie, look!" he gasped, pointing excitedly toward a small, tucked-away pastry shop.
"Woah, I’ve never seen this before" you murmured in surprise, feeling an invisible pull toward the charming little store.
"This is so cute! I think it just opened recently" Sunoo giggled, squeezing your hand as you both stepped inside.
The shop was small but utterly inviting, the lighting was warm, cozy, and welcoming. Though the seats remained mostly empty, the charm of the space gave it all the life it needed.
"peach, look at all the baked goods!" sunoo gasped, eyes sparkling as he admired the neatly arranged rows of pastries in the display case.
"omg, sun, this looks so cute," you breathed, equally enchanted by the assortment of treats. One of the workers greeted you warmly, sharing that the shop had just opened and that business had been slow during their launch.
"sweetie, what do you want? I'll buy for us!" sunoo grinned, clearly excited to treat you both to something special.
"Hmm… I kinda want the strawberry shortcake," you mused softly, eyeing the delicate pastries.
"Okay! One strawberry shortcake and a peach puff pastry," sunoo chirped, flashing a bright smile at the worker.
You blinked. "Peach? I didn’t know you liked peaches," you said, raising an eyebrow.
Sunoo glanced at you, his lips curling into a knowing smile before he chuckled softly.
"A cute little peach… just like you," he teased, leaning in to place a gentle peck on your cheek.
jungwon ── ⟢ ・⸝⸝ babi or just your name.
It was a warm afternoon, and you and jungwon had just finished eating, deciding to spend the rest of the day curled up on the couch.
Jungwon lazily scrolled through Instagram, one hand absentmindedly petting Maeumi, who was comfortably settled on his lap. You were doing the same, scrolling through your feed, when a post caught your attention. A list of cute pet names to call your partner.
You paused, thinking for a moment.
"wonie, how come you don’t give me a lot of cute nicknames?" you asked, turning toward him.
Jungwon, lost in whatever was on his screen, stopped to glance at you, his expression confused. "What do you mean? I call you babi" he chuckled.
"Yeahhh, but most of the time, you just call me by my name" you huffed, dramatically pouting at him.
Jungwon rolled his eyes playfully, finally letting go of Maeumi to reach for you instead, squishing your cheeks between his palms.
"I don’t call you other nicknames because I like your name" he murmured with a soft smile, his face inches from yours.
You felt your breath hitch slightly before he leaned in, placing a delicate peck on your lips.
"pretty, just like your name… got it, babi?" he teased, pulling away with a smirk.
Flustered, you blinked rapidly, heat rushing to your cheeks. Feeling the panic settle in your chest, you playfully smacked his arm in retaliation.
Jungwon immediately burst into laughter, his bright giggles filling the space around you.
niki ── ⟢ ・⸝⸝ cutie or princess
You groaned, shuffling through two tops, unable to decide which one to wear for your date with ni-ki.
From his spot on the bed beside the dresser, ni-ki chuckled, watching you struggle.
"You’re such a cutie" he mused.
"Thanks for finding my distress adorable" you whined, grabbing another top from the closet to see if it looked any better.
Ni-ki leaned in, scanning your closet. "What about that one?" He pointed toward a flowy top with delicate lace details.
You pouted, shaking your head. "I dunno… not really feeling it."
He hummed thoughtfully before pointing at another option, a cropped shirt with a bold graphic print. "What about this one?"
You sighed, pushing through the seemingly endless piles of clothes. "Mmm… no, I’m not a fan of that right now."
Ni-ki chuckled, rolling his eyes playfully.
"Princess, you look great in anything. Just pick something you feel comfortable in" he said, pressing a soft peck to your temple, completely charmed by how cute you looked in that moment.
"But you are a fashion diva!" you teased, grinning. "I have to match your game, riki."
Ni-ki shook his head with a smile before rummaging through your clothes himself. After a quick scan, he pulled out a simple, fitted top, baggy jeans, and a cozy, soft jacket.
"Here, princess. Wear this," he said warmly. "I’ll change so we can match."
"Matchie?" You looked up at him, eyes lighting up with excitement.
He nodded, already heading toward his wardrobe to pick out a similar outfit.
"Go pick out some matching accessories, cutie" he giggled before disappearing into the bathroom to change.

Jay wiped down the counters, the cloth moving in rhythmic circles as Sunghoon stretched out lazily in his seat, waiting for an order that might never come. The cafe was a quiet little hole-in-the-wall, the kind of place people stumbled upon accidentally and swore they'd come back to… but rarely did.
“And?” Sunghoon repeated skeptically. “You don’t think it's annoying? I mean, come on. I’m clearly the more handsome friend.”
Jay finally glanced over, unimpressed. “Sure, whatever helps you sleep at night.”
Sunghoon grinned, unbothered. “The real question is… why don’t you ever find anyone cute? Like, ever? Are you secretly an alien or just ridiculously picky?”
Jay exhaled, setting the cloth down. “I don’t know? I have standards?”
Sunghoon groaned, throwing his arms up.
“Standards? Dude, you’re just making excuses for not being able to pull.” He chuckled, leaning in, eyes narrowing. “What’s it gonna take for someone to actually catch your eye?”
Jay simply shrugged. “Someone I don’t get tired of.”
Sunghoon stared at him before letting out a dramatic sigh. “So basically, a miracle.”
Jay smirked, returning to cleaning. “Something like that.”
It was a slow day at the cafe, nothing but the steady hum of the espresso machine and the occasional rustling of chairs. The quiet was interrupted by the soft chime of the doorbell, signaling a new customer.
Sunghoon glanced up from his place behind the counter and stretched lazily. "Hey, can you handle this one? I need to use the bathroom."
Jay nodded, tossing aside the rag he’d been using to wipe down tables before stepping up to the register.
"Hello, ma’am, what would you like to orde-" His voice faltered mid-sentence as he looked up.
His body went rigid, frozen in place like a deer in headlights.
There you were, standing in front of him with a bright, easygoing smile.
Why did his heart feel like it had been kicked into overdrive?
Something about you was different, almost unreal in the warm afternoon glow streaming through the windows. The soft curve of your lips, the effortless way you carried yourself, the quiet confidence in your gaze, it was disarming.
"Hi, may I get a peach ade with a bacon cheese sandwich?" you asked, completely unaware of the effect you had on him.
Jay blinked. Stared a bit too long.
Shit, stop staring. Stop staring.
Then, realizing he was just standing there like an idiot, he snapped back into reality, fumbling for the register.
"Oh uh- okay, that uhh- would uh be… fifteen total... May I uhm- get your name, please?" he stammered, mentally cursing himself for sounding like a fool.
You tilted your head slightly before chuckling at his flustered state, giving him your name and the money before making your way to a seat by the window.
Jay exhaled sharply, forcing himself to focus as he keyed in your order.
What the heck was that Jay
He was praying to the gods above that Sunghoon did not see his fumble.
Too bad the gods were busy today.
Jay barely had a moment to breathe before Sunghoon leaned in, his voice low with amusement.
"What the hell was that? You so find her cute" he whispered, eyes twinkling with mischief.
Jay shot him a sharp look. "Be quiet. And make the bacon cheese."
But Sunghoon wasn’t done. "Oh hoo hoo, someone's a bit defensive. Looks like you have a type, my friend. Cute ones, huh?"
Jay scowled, but his glare only made Sunghoon chuckle as he walked off. "Can’t wait to tell Jake about this" he added teasingly before disappearing into the kitchen.
Left alone, Jay sighed, turning back to prepare your peach ade.
Except now, it was impossible not to glance over at you.
The way your skin glowed under the afternoon light, the effortless way you tucked your hair behind your ear, the soft smile playing on your lips as you scrolled through your phone, it was distracting. Too distracting.
Oh god, she’s so beautiful-
Oh, fuck-
The sound of ice overflowing snapped Jay out of his daze, spilling past the edges of the plastic cup. His eyes widened in panic as he scrambled to fix it, stammering under his breath while dumping the mess and starting over. And to make matters worse his best buddy started laughing by the grill.
Sunghoon was never going to let this go.
Jay had one thought running through his head as he prepared your drink, this has to be perfect.
“Okay, lover boy, try blinking sometime. Your eyes look like they’re gonna pop out from how hard you’re concentrating” he teased, placing the finished sandwich at the pick-up zone.
Jay ignored him, waving him off as he continued making your peach ade, though his focus kept slipping. He risked another glance… just a quick one.
But then you looked up at him.
F-ck.
Jay immediately dropped his gaze, a sharp blush creeping across his cheeks.
Shit- how long have I been staring at her?
Mentally punching himself, he scrambled to finish your drink, shaking off his nerves. He set the cup on the counter, stepping away to grab a tray, he might as well serve it properly.
But when he turned back, Sunghoon was holding the peach ade, inspecting it.
Jay narrowed his eyes. “What? Is there something wrong with it?”
Sunghoon’s smirk was downright criminal as he hastily set the cup back down. “No, no, nothing’s wrong” he said, far too innocently.
Jay rolled his eyes, placing the sandwich and drink onto the tray before finally heading toward you, willing himself to stay calm.
Let’s see how long that lasts.
Jay approached your table carefully, placing the tray down with practiced ease. "Hello, here’s your order, ma’am" he greeted softly.
You looked up, smiling. “Thank you…” Your eyes flickered down, scanning the name tag pinned to his chest.
“… Jay.”
His heart stopped.
God dammit, Jongseong, snap out of it.
Jay barely managed to stammer out, "I uh- your welcome" before making a hasty exit, not before nearly tripping over a nearby table. He scurried behind the counter, face burning with embarrassment as Sunghoon broke into laughter, clutching his stomach.
"Nice one, rizzler" Sunghoon mocks, snorting between gasps for air.
"Whatever" Jay grumbled, turning on the sink to wash his hands. "Just leave it be. It’s not like I’ll see her again."
Sunghoon raised an eyebrow, twirling a pen between his fingers. "Are you sure about that?"
Jay paused, slowly turning to him in an exaggeratedly comical way, eyes narrowing with suspicion.
"What did you do?"
"Nothing" Sunghoon said, faking his innocence. "Just being the best hecking wingman on earth." His proud smirk made Jay’s stomach sink.
Immediately, Jay turned back toward you.
You were holding the cup, inspecting something closely, your fingers brushing over the writing. His chest tightened as he audibly gasped.
"What did you put on the cup?" Jay hissed, already feeling the panic rise.
"Did you make me look like a weirdo? a creep??" He grabbed Sunghoon by the shoulders, shaking him with newfound urgency.
Before Sunghoon could answer, the cafe bell rang.
Jay stilled. You were at the counter, waiting.
Sunghoon chuckled, nudging Jay forward. "Better go find out for yourself.”
Jay swallowed hard, forcing himself to keep his voice steady.
"Hi uh-, how can I help you?"
You smiled softly, handing him your peach ade and half-eaten sandwich. "I was just wondering if I could get these to go?"
Ah, shit.
Jay stiffened. You were leaving.
Did she think I was a creep? Or worse, did Sunghoon's dumbass message on the cup scare her off?
"Oh, yeah, of course" he replied quickly, taking your items to fix them up for takeout. He walked into the back room to grab a bag, only to find Sunghoon waiting for him, arms crossed.
"Thanks a lot, hoon. You made her leave. She probably thinks I’m a creep" Jay grumbled.
Sunghoon scoffed. "What? I literally just put a ‘ur cute’… Welp, nice try, dude. Maybe you’re just not her type."
Jay rolled his eyes dramatically. "Ouch."
Still feeling weirdly defeated, Jay finished packing your order, stepping back out to the counter.
He tried to keep his composure, pretending this was just another normal customer exchange, but the sting of rejection lingered.
Oh well.
He handed you the bag, managing a small smile. "Here’s your takeout."
"Thank you." You reached for the bag, and for a fleeting second, Jay noticed a soft shade of pink rising onto your cheeks.
Odd.
He didn’t question it, until you hesitated, glancing at the counter.
"Uh… can you throw this out for me?" You placed a slightly crumpled napkin on the surface, offering him a quick smile before hurriedly making your way out of the cafe.
Jay raised an eyebrow, confused.
Then, he looked down at the napkin.
His eyes widened.
"SHE GAVE ME HER NUMBER" he exclaimed, voice borderline frantic.
Jay stared at the napkin in utter disbelief, his grip tightening around the flimsy paper like it was some kind of sacred relic. His pulse hammered in his ears.
From the back room, Sunghoon’s head popped out, eyes wide. "SHE DID?!"
Jay had never felt this much excitement, his face breaking into the goofiest grin imaginable. He barely registered Sunghoon stepping closer, eyeing the napkin with intrigue.
"Dude, close your mouth, you’re gonna catch a fly" Sunghoon teased, glancing down at the messy scribble of numbers on the paper.
Jay didn’t hear him. His eyes darted toward the cafe window, spotting you disappearing down the street.
I should text her. Definitely should text her… later.
He just leaned against the counter, exhaling a breathless chuckle.
"Wow…" he muttered, still dazed. "This is the kind of junk that would get a standing ovation in a landfill."
A beat of silence.
Sunghoon scoffed. "Genuinely, remind me never to assist you in anything ever again. I fear enabling whatever this is."
Jay rolled his eyes, finally snapping out of it, folding the napkin neatly and then placing it in his pocket safely.
He realized he was wrong, but the damage had already been done. It had been a stressful day, everything seemed to go wrong, and when you asked him if he was okay, it all exploded.
He said things that were unnecessary and hurtful, lashing out at you simply because he was overwhelmed. You tried your best to comfort him, but he wasn’t having it.
Now, you were in your room, leaving him alone as he sat on the couch, replaying his actions in his mind. Guilt weighed heavily on him, and after a few minutes, he finally mustered the courage to face you.
Heeseung walked into the bedroom, spotting your figure curled up on the bed, hugging your favorite pillow in silence.
He let out a quiet sigh and crouched in front of the bed.
“I’m sorry” he said softly, his voice filled with regret.
“I didn’t mean to lash out at you.”
“But you did” you replied coldly, the hurt still fresh.
You were upset, not just because he pushed you away, but because he had insulted you in the process.
“I know. And I’m sorry. You didn’t deserve that…” he said, his tone gentle as he placed his hand on yours, testing the waters. When you didn’t pull away, he took it as a sign and began softly caressing your hand.
Heeseung lifted your hand to his lips, pressing a tender kiss to it.
“I was having a stressful day, and I took it all out on you” he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper.
“I promise to do better.”
You looked at him for a moment, his big doe eyes filled with remorse. With a sigh, you leaned forward and placed a soft peck on his temple.
“You better not do that again” you said quietly, your voice carrying both forgiveness and a warning.
“I won’t, love” he replied, his gaze unwavering.
“I love you.” he mumbles softly.
A small smile tugged at your lips as you pulled him into the bed, wrapping him in a gentle embrace. Heeseung melted into your arms, his head resting against your shoulder as he whispered,
“I love you so much.”
jay ── ⟢ ・⸝⸝
It started as a small disagreement. Normally, you and Jay were calm and collected during arguments, working together to sort out any misunderstandings.
But tonight was different…
something had ticked Jay off a bit too much.
You tried to find the middle ground, to resolve things peacefully as you always did, but Jay had reached his breaking point. His voice suddenly rose, sharp and angry, as he yelled at you.
The intensity of his outburst startled you, causing you to flinch backward instinctively, fear flashing across your face.
Jay froze, noticing the way you stepped away from him in shock. The sight of your fear made his heart drop, the realization of what he had done sinking in almost immediately.
“I’m sorry, sweetheart” Jay said softly, his anger dissipating in an instant. The argument no longer mattered to him, only you did.
“I shouldn’t have raised my voice at you” he added, gently reaching out to hold your arms. His touch was warm, his gaze full of regret.
“I let my emotions take over, and I scared the person I care about most.”
You let out a tired sigh, the weight of the evening pressing down on both of you.
“It’s okay, Jay. I’m sorry too” you replied softly, your voice weary but forgiving.
Jay stepped closer, pulling you into a tight yet gentle embrace. You melted into his arms, the tension fading as his warmth enveloped you.
“You mean everything to me, and the last thing I’d ever want is for you to feel upset or pushed away because of me” Jay murmured against your ear, his hand rubbing soothing circles on your back.
“I promise to work on controlling my frustration and being better for us” he whispered, his voice full of sincerity and love.
His hold on you felt secure, as if he was protecting something precious and fragile. In his arms, the weight of the argument slipped away, replaced by a quiet promise of understanding and growth.
"I’ll always choose us, no matter what. You mean the world to me, and I love you more than anything.”
jake ── ⟢ ・⸝⸝
This was a tough argument. You were trying to appeal to Jake emotionally, while he approached everything with cold, hard logic. The tension in the air was intense, and then it happened,
he called you useless and stupid.
The moment the words left his mouth, Jake froze, his hand flying up to cover his lips as his eyes widened in shock. He couldn’t believe what he’d just said.
You stared at him, disbelief and hurt flashing across your face. Without a word, you turned away, heading toward the bedroom, not wanting to deal with the situation any longer.
Jake wasn’t about to let you walk away.
He quickly followed, wrapping his arms around you from behind, his head lowering in shame to rest on your shoulder. His grip was firm but gentle, as if he was afraid you’d slip away entirely
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to say that” he whispered, his voice soft and full of regret.
You stood still, his words echoing in your mind. The sting of the insult lingered.
“That was uncalled for. Please forgive me” he added, his tone trembling slightly as he tightened his hold on you.
With a sigh, you turned around to face him, his arms still holding you close. His puppy-dog eyes met yours, filled with remorse and vulnerability, and you could already feel your heart beginning to melt.
“I’m sorry” he said again, his voice barely above a whisper.
You sighed once more, cupping his cheeks gently. “You’re a dumbass” you said, a soft chuckle escaping your lips.
Jake’s lips curved into a small smile as he replied,
“I’m your dumbass.”
His hug tightened, as if he never wanted to let you go, his warmth wrapping around you like a promise to do better.
He leaned his forehead against yours, his breath soft and steady as he whispered,
“I’ll never let my words hurt you like that again. I swear.”
sunghoon ── ⟢ ・⸝⸝
Something had been off with Sunghoon lately, and you’d tried everything to help and support him. But no matter what you did, he wouldn’t let you in. Thinking he needed space, you stepped back to give him room to collect his thoughts. Yet, days had passed, and you still hadn’t had a normal conversation with your boyfriend.
The silence was unsettling, and as he continued shutting you out, a creeping worry began to settle in,
was it something you did wrong?
Today, you asked him how he was feeling, hoping for some clarity. But instead, everything came crashing down.
Sunghoon’s voice rose sharply as he yelled at you to stop smothering him and to leave him alone. His sudden outburst sent a jolt of fear through you.
You didn’t know what was wrong, but you knew one thing, he wanted to be left alone. So, that’s what you did.
That evening, after dinner, you lay on your shared bed, staring at the ceiling, your mind weighed down by overthinking.
Then, you felt the mattress dip beside you.
“Honey?” Sunghoon’s voice was soft, almost hesitant. You didn’t move, too exhausted to respond. But he knew you were awake, quietly listening.
“I’m sorry for the way I acted,” he said, his voice fragile as he hugged his knees tightly.
“I was going through a lot. I was stressed, but I shouldn’t have pushed you away like that. I shouldn’t have yelled at you.”
The vulnerability in his voice made your heart drop.
“I have a hard time… expressing myself, and sometimes I don’t know what to do with my emotions. It gets overwhelming, and instead of asking for help, I ended up hurting you.” His words cut deep, making your heart sink.
“…I’m sorry” he whispered, his voice filled with regret.
Without hesitation, you turned toward him and pulled him into a warm hug.
“It’s okay, Hoon…”
Sunghoon sank into your embrace, wrapping his arms around you as if trying to melt into the comfort you offered.
”I know it can be hard. But next time, try not to push me away,” you murmured softly.
“I know” he sighed, his voice heavy with remorse. “Thank you for always being there for me. I love you so much.”
The quiet room seemed to hold your shared moment, a small, unspoken promise of understanding and love mending the distance that had grown between you.

🏛️🌱 kaveh x alhaitham, angst w/ fluff at the end, they kiss and make up dw!
ஐ〰ฺ·:*:·✿ ஐ〰ฺ·:*:·✿ ஐ〰ฺ·:*:·✿ ஐ〰ฺ·:*:·✿ ஐ〰ฺ·:*:
Kaveh doesn’t really understand what love is— or rather, what it’s like to feel loved. Sure, his mother and friends loved him and he knew that. He knew that.
A part of him feels guilty for wanting more—yearning for something deeper. It's a consuming desire, almost impossible to ignore. Perhaps it's not just about being loved but about being loved effortlessly, as if it came as easily as breathing.
After all, if his own mother left, why wouldn’t he?
His hands clenched at the thought of Alhaitham and spares a glance at the scribe’s desk. The books were littered, scattered on top of the desk. “Damn it. Can’t he at least keep his desk neat?”
Kaveh sighs and runs through the items on the desk, his brow furrowing as he sees torn paper, hastily taped together. He mutters to himself, “Why is it here?” The research paper they had worked on together suddenly appears before his eyes, with sticky notes lodged in between the pages.
"This is in his handwriting," he grumbles. "I bet he's just nitpicking on my work!"
He rolls his eyes. "I'm not looking at this again." Kaveh closes the paper, and as he does, a loose piece flies out.
My Dearest Kaveh,
I’m aware you don’t want to talk to me. It’s been months since we last spoke. I saw you in the garden today. I knew it was you the moment i heard your voice. I long to hear your laughter again just like old times. If I hadn’t said what I said, do you think we’d still be friends? Will you ever look my way again?
“What? When did he…?”
“Kaveh.”
The silence was palpable. Kaveh’s chest ached, torn between his pride and desire to hear what alhaitham had to say.
"...You wrote this?" Kaveh stammered, holding up the piece of paper.
"Yes."
Kaveh's heart skipped a beat at the confession. He didn't know how to react. He had avoided Alhaitham for years since their argument, but now they were standing face to face, and everything felt so…different.
“I meant every word." Alhaitham blurted out.
“Why didn’t you say anything?”
“I'm sorry."
“You're apologizing? That's a first."
It didn’t go past Alhaitham’s mind that Kaveh’s stubbornness and need for validation wasn’t out of spite, but because of his desperate need to be loved.
“Alhaitham, I...I truly don't know what to say."
“You don’t have to say anything. I just wanted you to know."
"But why? Why did you write this?"
Alhaitham steps closer, his eyes locked on Kaveh's.
"Because...I care about you."
Kaveh is taken aback, his heart racing at the words. It couldn’t possibly be true. He sets the paper down on the desk and looks up at Alhaitham. Their eyes meet, and time seems to stand still.
"Kaveh..."
His heart races as he sees the vulnerability in Alhaitham's expression. Before he can respond, Alhaitham closes the distance, their lips meeting in a passionate kiss. One that told him everything he needed to know.
Alhaitham breaks the kiss, a smirk on his lips.
"Looks like I finally found a way to shut you up."
Kaveh rolls his eyes, but a smile tugs at the corners of his lips.
"You wish you could shut me up that easily."
They exchange a look, a glimmer of mirth in their eyes, before bursting into laughter. It was a moment of warmth that was finally present inside their home.
He meets Alhaitham's gaze, a newfound calm in his eyes. "I think I'm beginning to get it now."
Alhaitham smiles softly, his chin resting on Kaveh's shoulder. "Get what?"
Kaveh takes a deep breath, a sense of contentment washing over him. "What love feels like."
hihi could you make a wrio x reader fic where reader is an avid tea hater??? you don’t have to do it but maybe just an idea? :DD

makeshift tea sweetener
wriothesley x reader | fluff! (implied relationship!!)
does milk tea actually count as tea like is it an abomination to europeans or what
“That is the most disgusting thing i’ve ever tasted.”
“Sorry what?” I asked incredulously.
Wriothesley crosses his arms at your response. “Sweetheart, there is no way you actually consider that as tea.”
“Uh!” My brows furrowed and I was ready to create a whole ass essay defending the best drink in the world. “My bubble tea tastes far better than yours! Your tea is so bland and it tastes like- i don’t know! wet wipes!”
He gently picked up his teacup, mumbling a “well..maybe if you kissed me, it’d taste better”, before taking a short sip.
The look of surprise was evident on my face but it quickly faded to a smile. “Oh yeah? bet.”
I suddenly pull on his tie, bringing his face dangerously close. Soon enough, the space between us closed and I planted a short kiss on his lips. His eyes widened at the sudden initiative, almost dropping his beloved teacup.
Somehow the floral and distinct lemony flavor of the tea was heightened or maybe it’s because of the way it sits on his lips that make the flavors come together, but boy, was it addicting.
After what seems to be a few seconds, I pull away to see a rare sight of a flustered Wriothesley. With a smile, I licked my lips in content and easily came up with a verdict.
