they’re the results of colonialism so it doesn’t sit well with me for them to be native. their character concepts are born from stolen land and genocide. to have them ambiguously brown (bc there’s a lot of different tribes and you can’t choose just one to represent all of this colony) just feels fucked up bc of all that history tied into the nature of the characters.

THAT SAID I do like to think they have deep connections, being taken care of and such, before They showed up. they probably still have bonds with them!

maybe they’d have non European features, third-gen half-native sort of gene pool?
