gen question for the mario guy, if stanley originally had brendan's now body, how would he look? because brendan looks like too much of a wet cat to slay as much as stanley does
// Ok this is actually an interesting question, and the thing is he wouldn’t look that different! He wouldn’t wear glasses and his hair would be combed, and ofc he’d be in a totally different outfit. But before he became a ghost, he actually didn’t slay like at all. He was pretty pathetic beforehand, but then being a ghost cracked his psyche and he just decided to go all out.

Your inability to arrive to work shows a concerning lack of discipline, a feature that frankly, we did not expect from your family. Your desk has already been cleared out, and your personal belongings have been disposed of. If you wish to reclaim them, please check the trash bins before the collection day this coming Tuesday. Please do be aware that we have released a statement about your sudden abandonment to other corporations in this industry. Stan, I don’t know what’s happening, but I know this ain’t you. Don’t listen to these soul sucking vampires, they only care about their bottom line. This place was too good for you anyway. Still, I know you’re too much of a stand-up guy to just abandon ship like this. I tried telling them, but they don’t care at all. I quit today. They’re pretty pissed off, they even tried giving me your old job but that just pissed me off even more. I ended up breaking the boss’s nose and spending a night with the cops.
You’re the only person I ever cared about in this hellhole, and I swear I’m gonna find you. No matter what happened, I’ll find you. Either alive… or at least I’ll get closure. But I won’t let you go missing like you’re nothing. You’re so much more than that. You are to me. I’m using your spare key to take your car, and I swear to god that I’ll track you down. I’ll go to the ends of the earth if I have to. I’ll even go back to the orphanage, whatever it takes to get information. I don’t know why I’m writing this. Maybe it’s just for me. *He laughs a bit and floats around, eventually just setting upside down.*
"Honestly, I've just been looking for someone to gossip with at this point, I mean it feels like I've been living in the walls for a century at this point and boy are my non-existent legs tired!"
Yeah, doesn't matter. It's a pleasure Stanley! I'm Beatriz, Bea for short.
Beatriz sits on the edge of her ned as she looks at the upside down microphone man, smiling at his lsst words.
Well I got a lot of knowledge that you could consider gossip, but I also got this like huge family problem that if you lay off the trauma and stuff it makes a really fun story, haha...anyways!
I was actually planning to go to sleep bit this is like, better than that so maybe you could consider this a pijama party? Anyways, back to the point, gossip, you got any to start? If you wander around the walls here you must hear a looot of stuff.
Beatriz gets up her bed with a jumo and goes to her dresser, taking out a mtiny bottle of liquor.
Can you like, drink or are we doing this sober?
She smiles.
"Well, Bea! It sure is fine to meet ya, and frankly I don't mind what you tell me! It could be the saddest thing in the world or the most lighthearted story you've got, it's all the same to me! Just a bit of a good chat, y'know? And sure, let's make it a pajama party! I haven't slept in somewhere between one and one hundred years but I've never really tried so this suit could technically be pajamas!"
Stanley floats down onto a chair, wrapping his little ghostly tail around the legs of it as he snaps, giving Bea a bowl of popcorn that just kinda materialized out of thin air. And some wine too. Hell yeah.
"Oh yeah don't worry about that, my whole thing is kind of making things exist, don't think about it too hard. Now let's see, what's some good gossip... Oh! This girl that was in my game has been like, totally freaking out lately. She's big into, y'know. The powered sugar. Nose candy. Albanian snow. And she doesn't have any so she's going nuts. It's slightly sad but it's mostly funny when I think about how shitty she is sooooooo it's whatever!"

"Have I ever... Hold on, what? You do realize that microphones tend not to wear clothes, yes? Are you asking me if I've ever been naked?"
He chuckles, and if he had eyes, he'd wink.
"How about you take me out to dinner first, yeah?"

"Thank you so much!! I don't have lips, but if you're still willing to try I certainly won't stop you!"
“Oh, c’mon! Let’s turn that frown upside down, my lady! This is Brendan we’re talking about, Brendan! Do you know how many times the universe has failed to kill that kid?”
A ghostly figure appears before Tatya, with the loudest sparkliest suit you could possibly imagine. And a microphone for a head. He extends a hand, and laughs.
“Here, let me help you up, star! I haven’t introduced myself to you yet, but now that you’re in the spectral plane, I don’t see why not! I’m Stanley! That sack of meat Brendan puppets around used to be my body! And now we’re best buds! Well, he wouldn’t say that but he probably thinks it! Haha!!”

Tatya feels… Many emotions at once.
She looks up at the friendly voice with wide eyes. This person looks… odd. But! They seem pleasant enough! And she’s definitely seen weirder! Plus, she loves sparkles.
“Oh hello!” She sniffs and stands up with help. “Yeah, Brendan is real tough. He just doesn’t deserve all of the stuff he goes through. I hope I can get back up again before he finds out ur what happened…”
She listens politely. “Oh that was your body! A lot of stuff happens to it, so I’m sorry about that.” Tatya laughs a little pathetically. “If that’s your body and Brendan is my brother, does that mean you’re my brother?” The poor girl seems a little bit out of it.
“That he does not, it’s true. But man, let me tell you! He’s toughened up a hell of a lot since he got here! Did he tell you he locked himself in his room for five days straight when he first arrived? It was rough to watch, let me tell you that. But he made it through that, and his game! And then he made it through being comatose for a full year after his game and locked in the basement while like, ten other games happened! And then all the stuff he’s done since waking up! He’ll be just fine!”
He laughs again, his bow tie spinning in place every time he does.
“Oh please! It used to be my body, sure, but I’ve got this sweet new ghost one now! I’m way more than I ever used to be back when I was just some wage slave, pushing switches in the pickle factory all day! That’s not a metaphor for anything, by the way! I actually used to make pickles! In a factory! How lame is that?”
He shook his head, before… popping it off, and holding it in his hand like a microphone towards her.
“Hey hey now, you can see me however you want to see me! What matters right now is that you’re gonna be just fine! I’m an expert at getting around as a ghost, so go on and tell me your wildest ghostly dreams! And star, I’ll make it happen! You want to haunt a painting and make its eyes move? Or make people really cold randomly? Or talk to people with a oujia board? If you said yes to one or more of those statements, then I’m your man!”
*Stanley crashes through the wall with a large box in his hands.*
"Hello there young lady!! Would you like the Mystery Box(tm)?"
Beatriz couldn't believe what she has just witnessed, was this a hangover? Did she die? Was this microphone headed, mickey mouse glove wearing, Timm suit looking guy real?
"...Yeah I would love the mystery box(tm), sir!"

*A ghostly figure appears at an equally ghostly drumset. They do as told before vanishing as Stanley opens the box.*
“It’s… a pen! And quite a lot of tissue paper to fill the box, which might be a waste of paper but it’s fine! But this is so ordinary pen, no! This is a fountain pen! Now, you can keep the fountain pen, or trade it in for what’s behind the curtain!!”
*There’s a curtain here now. Don’t question it or someone might die.*
Beatriz just looks dumbfounded at the scene unfolding infront of her, still not quite getting what's happening but this is the manor and this microphone man is offering stuff so! Better go along!
She put a hand on her chin, seemingly thinking hard about her options.
"Mister Microphone guy, do I get to keep the fancy pen if I choose to open the courtain and there's nothing?" Beatriz says looking up to the mans' (???) face (??????)
"Oh! Well first, my name is Stanley! You can call me Stan if you want, or Stan the Man, or Stanaringo, or anything really! And second, nope! It's an either-or, you gotta commit! That's what makes it a risk!"
*Yeah it's probably best not to question it, the guy is weird. He's a hunter but he goes friendly like, seven times out of ten? He asks them to dance and if they do he just doesn't attack them and lets them leave, not even I know what this guy is really on about...*
*Stanley crashes through the wall with a large box in his hands.*

"Oh, and don't worry but I ain't one of those hunters that's crazy about killing, it's just the only role that'll fit me. I don't hurt people when I don't have to so don't even worry about it! You some kinda scientist or something? Cause you give me total scientist vibes. Man, I wish I had a job that cool before I became a spirit!"
"...Stan...ley?... interesting name. Mine's Bianca."
In normal circumstances, it wouldn't have been so interesting to the Designer. However, due to the words a dear friend said a long once mentioned in passing, it was a little more than interesting.
"bianca. i beat the hunter in my game to death with my bare hands. and i basically possessed a dude, this body isn’t originally mine. it used to be some dude named stanley. buying alcohol a year before i legally can is such a step down it’s basically not even a crime."
... she wondered if this stanley and that stanley were one in the same. He had to go somewhere after being ejected... right?
Her train of thought was caught off guard as the man inquired about her occupation, to which she adjusted her sunglasses.
"I'm a mechanical designer. I design machinery. I guess you could compare it to being a mad scientist, I do some wild experiments sometimes. You said you're a hunter. What's your title?"
"Haha, I'm glad you like my name! I must say, yours is quite nice as well! Oh, and you design machines? That sounds like a lot of fun! Say, you don't know a girl named Abella, do you? I met her for a couple days, and I think that's what she did as well!"
*He gives a thumbs up and a nod. Seems like he's in a good mood.*
"I believe my title now is The Narrator, which I quite like! I was a simple office worker before losing my body, after all. I suppose some things really are blessings in disguise, yes?"
“I do, actually. She’s a really nice girl. She’s an inventor I think. We’re similar, but different as well. Also, most of her things sort of explode after she makes them. Have you ever seen a sandwich explode? It’s… definitely an interesting sight to see.”

“A narrator? Hmm, I feel like that does suit your current appearance. You were… an officer worker? Do you know what happened to yourself, if you don’t mind me asking?”
"Oh, that sounds like an entertaining experience for sure! I didn't get to stick around long enough to really figure out my fellow survivors, but I'm glad to know she's doing alright!"
*He laughed a bit, the mention of his current condition not seeming to bring his mood down.*
"Sure, I don't mind talking about it! Although it's a bit of a strange story. You see, I didn't necessarily die in the traditional sense. Rather, I had my spirit forcibly removed from my body, and someone else's spirit put in it. Now, I was incredibly angry when this happened, don't get me wrong. But as a spirit, I found out I can communicate with other spirits as well, and I found out a few interesting things! Like it turns out the guy who got put into my body didn't even want it in the first place, can you believe that? Hey, at least that means no hard feelings on his end! No, the people I'm a bit peeved with would be the folks responsible for swapping the spirits in the first place. But that's neither here nor there, I suppose."
Bianca chuckled softly as she nodded along.
Then, she paused.

It did seem they were one in the same. How intriguing.
“Gosh, that’s unfortunate… but you’re happier as you are now, right? In the end, you got a better end result.”
"Well, that's one way to put it! I think I am, I didn't have much in my life anyway, but it still would've been nice to have a bit of a say in the matter, yknow? I like to think I would've been a decoder!"
*He laughs, and shrugs.*
"But hey, from what I've heard, the people in charge aren't exactly kind. What are you gonna do?"
