I still have few wips with them, and i want to draw them more for Halloween this year <3 but can't promise anything, a new Au/ Idea might spawn by then. For now i got more self indulgent Op art, Underworld Au and Maid Caffe arts lined up.

I don't know details either i just wanted to draw Oppy pretty and it all went from there - But its something something Quintessons, enemy of my enemy is my friend something something meybe we COULD coexist after all
And well, the most of Cons are old, and they want to settle one day. I love Lugnut x Strika they deserves to just exist as old couple, meybe have a sparkling. All other Cons too, they deserve good life, after their terrible history esp. since Autobots were no better. And since the war with Quntessons left the planet in ruin, that created the oportunity to rebuild it from zero but together.
Are there any Autobot traditions when it comes to marriage. Do they have ceremonial garb like the Decepticons or do they have something completely different?

I have idea that Autobots in their evolution to this "one big maschine" type of society where everybody is a cog, have forgotten most of traditions and like mosts tasks courting also became ritualised and bots don't care about making deeper connections, instead they conjux for Tax purposes, or to just not be alone. Spark bonds exits but are generally very rare as a result of this. Too many bots are focused on work and themselves to trully seek deeper connection and to bond yourself to other in such way is seen as a burden.
And now with Autobots and Decepticons coming together, and the threat of war being over, two parts are at loss and still have a lot to learn.
But if i were to come up with some traditions for Autobots/ civilians.....
If Warframes have kidnapping, fights and ceremonial adorments, then meybe Autobots have highly personal gift giving and meybe dancing? Civilian/ grounders dancing could nicely complement Warframe fighting and Seekers aerial stunts. The other two are like dance too after all. It would be nice to have connected and yet different element.

Op is my muse literally. I was inspired by the trend where u "dress up" the character you draw, on tiktok like the "turn around" stuff, and i just wanted to see Op get dressed and painted and did sketches, and finished the first drawing with the lipstick, AND I HAD SO MUCH FUNNN and wanted to see if i could do the rest as well. But i needed to know, why would Op get dressed like BY MEGATRON off all mechs, and then i got the whole consort idea :>
I love megop courting fics,arts and all 😭 And i want to see more of it too, in tfa 💗 I don't think i will draw more of this AU, meybe Meg's own set (you can see the design made by: @art-of-the-wild772 it's amazing!) like a one drawing, not entire series like for Pupu. We'll see 💗

lol anywah, I thought this would've been done yesterday, but 6hrs later, I just started on the gold detailing. I really understemated the complexity of the designs lmao; it's tomorrow rn, add 7+ hrs to this as well.

Some thoughts and the progress of drawing this below the cut:
I started off with the ref sheet, you can see it attached below.
This is a character chart that I've drawn before for something else, and I decided to reuse it because 1) I can't be bothered to draw another ref sheet, and 2) I'm still fairly new at drawing transformers, my style is a lot more loose and less technical, for lack of a better word, so I'm still in the awkward stages as of right now.
Work smarter, and all that.
When designing the conjuxing attire, I was quite stuck on how to begin. I didn't want Megs to wear a copy of Oppy's attire, but they're also supposed to match, but they can't be too different, but similar. It's quite the balance lol.
I thought of making it silver, but then it would've been way too different from Oppy's. I thought about changing the gems to red, but it would've matched Meg's color scheme too much, so I decided to keep the purple on Megs in the end. I think it's a nice unifying color between them; red and blue making purple, opposites coming together and all that.
You can notice in the ref sheet how I tried to match the outfits while also designing Megs' to fit him specifically.
(the 'belts', the chains wrapped around finials/horns, the legs, the arms, ect; and other pieces that are redesigned with slight alterations to give them a unique appearance on their own, but you would immediately recognize that they are a match-set when you see the two together)
I wanted the jewelry to emphasize his stature while also allowing for the freedom of movement. I also really wanted to give him a 'cape' to contrast Oppy while also not appearing overbearing. Again emphasizing the freedom of movement, I think this gives him a more airy feeling where he doesn't look weighed down by a big curtain and is also matching with the thinness of depth with Oppy's (also, feels like it gives the vibe of wings).
Lastly, the gladiatorial marks. I hc that the gladiators would have many, while their conjunx would only have the most prominent and recognizable marks of the gladiator. It's why Megs has a lot more here.
Now, I think what I was most worried about was the pose and what story it would convey; more specifically, the justification for why they would even be in this situation, wearing conjuxing attire when they're not even touching the realm of courting.
So, the justification I came up with: Oppy got curious to see what Megs would wear, and Meg's got all dolled up (potentially with the help of Oppy). Then, it slips out (probably) that Oppy's never been to a conjuxing ceremony ever, and Megs decides to take him through the steps very thoroughly.
They do the ritus, say the pledges, and then Megs maybe shows him a couple of holo-pics of Lugnut and Strika's conjuxing or smth.
Ratchet, when he finds out later, MUCH later, that this took place, almost has a heartattack.
Ratchet: What do you mean you performed the ritus?! In traditional attire??!
Optimus: It's not a big deal..
Ratchet:... ARE YOU AWARE THE PLEDGES ARE A LEGALLY BINDING CONTRACT????????
Optimus:... wut.
Bumblebee: Does this mean we start calling bossbot Lord Optimus?
Optimus short-circuits.
(I headcannon that this was the plan all along, and would love to read a rom-com fic of this, 25k minimum, thanks.)
Now, back to the pose: I really didn't know what to do before I came up with this. I wanted it to be a little dynamic, Megs and Oppy interacting instead of just a ref sheet; but as stated before, I'm still not that comfortable drawing transformers so anything too dynamic or long (like a comic) was out of the question.
I really wanted to show off the entire attire without complicating the composition too much, but this happened before I even designed the attire, so I sat myself down to actually design it, and then the story came to mind, and the pose just fit into place.
The second thing I struggled with was the shading and background lol. I'm posting it now so it'll be too late later when I wanna edit it. Best not to think about it too much lol.
Onto a positive thing: I learned how to make gold look like gold! That was fun, so thank you, narsebe, for inadvertently teaching me smth lol
wait with the dress up posts, does Megatron not know Optimus thinks this isn't for him? Is he just playing along when Optimus doesn't refer to himself as his conjunx? Or does he know just isn't telling him?
He knows Op doesn't know, and he plans to keep it that way. His whole plan is to *kinda* conjux Op without Op knowing. Hes just too shy to ask, better to do it, and then have whole eternity to fix it. Not a good plan in my opinion.
Before the Dress up did Megatron gain feelings from Optimus because he was impressed that he defeat him when they first met?
Yes! Basically the whole Dress Up is happening in made up "after 3rd season Au" time, where Autobots and Decepticons are working on a Peace Treaty. So Optimus was spending long time in Megatron's presence. The initial curiosity evolving into deep respect, and aweakening Megatron's desire to have more 💗 Of course Op during that time also developed a crush, but settling on just being aquantaces, meybe even friends with Megatron. After all why would Megatron be intrested in him? (Many reasons Op honey(

Optimus does think it's weird that Megatron is dressing him up in jewels meant for another. He woul like them to be for him, but Megatron told him its just for fitting. As weird as it feels, he is rejecting the notion that they are meant for him to spare him the dissappointment he will feel when the Fitting will be done and he will have to take them off, and see another mech wearing them in future. He doesnt want to be selfish or jelous so he's violently rejecting the idea in favor of being a good helper in this situation. But he will learn they are for him in the end 💗

The opnions are divided, but they all agree it's a good thing that Megatrons wants to take consort (the Au is happening in made up time where they have gone/ are going through Peace Negotiations) They are all on the plan to keep the little Autobot unaware of what's going on. Well, most of them.
Lugnut of course, as overjoyed as he his that Megatron could have legacy, but in his eyes nobody will be good enought for his Lord.
Blitzswing loves it! Since it will mean he could spend more time with Bumblebee. And he finds Optimus pretty funny.
Starscream, he's the one that was not made aware of what's gonna happen, on purpose so he won't mess it up. But i imagine he would find oportunity in this to try to usurp Megatron again haha.
Strika, completelly opossite then her conjux, respects Op for defeating Meg and was satisfied when Meg proclaimed he wants to take Op as his consort. It's the other part that she doesn't like. She thinks Megatron should ask Op directly instead of making this convoluted plan. She feels kinda sorry for little Autobot, he will soon learn that underneath this cunning, ruthless Warlord exterior - is a big, romantic whiny sparkling.
