Sorry that it’s a day late, but here they are! Seventy-two of you wonderful people voted in the polls, and here are your 2020 winners! I just want to express how happy I am to see all this support! I asked and you guys stepped up to bat in a big way. I can’t tell you how much fun I had keeping my eyes on the results this past week. There were a lot of close calls, some surprising upsets, and a fantastic finish.

So Let’s Give This a Shot

Alright, so I’ve decided that I’m definitely going to be picking back up the event. However, in light of some concerns with timing and the fact that I’m rebooting on my own, we’re only going to have a week this year. There’s just not a reasonable time-frame for me to organize a full month of prompts in time for August. This week will take place from August 23rd to August 29th. I fully intend to utilize themes from the previous year, same rules will apply as the previous year, and I considering revamping the blog’s design. Look forward to some polls where you get to pick some of the prompts for the week. You will have a prompt list on August 1st, so you have adequate time to prep some pieces. I’m also going to start accepting applications for volunteers to help organize and run the event for 2021 and onward starting September 1st. 

TLDR: Naruhina Smut Week 2020 is August 23rd - August 29th. You’ll get to vote for prompts. If you’re willing to give your time, you can apply to become an organizer.

It's almost august and we're quarantined, is there any chance that we could -mayyyyybe- organize like a Naruhina smut week?? (I would love seeing again a smut month but I understand It takes a lot of organization and time, so, maybe, a week could be less chaotic?) Pleeeeeease ☺️

So, I haven’t been on in almost a year. And I’m the only one left in this page. However, in light of the obvious need for some escapism during this global pandemic, I’m considering trying to revitalize the event. But here’s what I’m gonna need:

1) Dedicated and available volunteers to help run and organize the page and event. The biggest obstacle is finding people willing to put in the effort to run a month-long event because these events come with months of preparation. I would like to setup a full committee of around 15 people with a self sustained governing body (think student government setup). I would also like to set up meetings via discord, Skype or otherwise. I want this to be something solid and expandable.

2) Volunteers to submit content. I know it’s rough out there especially for artists struggling to support themselves with their art, and I know that exposure isn’t something you can live off of. So, I won’t just ask for new art but any art you’ve got already done. To my writers, you work is also majorly appreciated.

3) Your understanding. I can do my best to scrap something together for this year, but it may very well be underwhelming. I just hope that you’ll use any disappointment into motivation and action to enhance not abandon all hope.

Expect a more solid announcement by 10 AM Central this Friday.

I just don't know if I can do it. Last year lost steam really early on. I would need to get more help if I were to try to do it again this year.
