It's not one to one but the moment I saw that dress I had to draw Nya. (That was over a year ago lol).

Sorry, I'm into other fandoms right now, but I proved to myself that I eventually always come back to ninjago. I still have that one unfinished fanfic, and tbh i'd publish it cause it's actually somewhat well written. But I'd need a new ninjago hyperfixation to finish it </3

I’ve seen people complaining Kai being too goofy in DR, but, honestly, after seeing the Monstrosity trailer, it makes sense.

We know Kai, he’s always trying to seem fine, tries to make sure no one’s worrying about him. He’s just been through hell and he knows his siblings have gone through it too. He’s overcompensating. He’s worried that if he tries to be serious for one moment, the facade will break.

And maybe he’s trying to fill the space of Jay for Nya.

Idk, this is just how I see it.

Really quick Rogue doodle I did. Some color variants cuz I couldn't decide myself. I generally started with the top one, but I feel like both work. Might use one of those as my banner.

My favorite prediction for season 3 is that Jay's gonna be absolutely obsessively hating Nya after she humiliated him in the tournament. I just love the pararel that bro used to obsess over her before losing his memory, and now he also is absolutely obsessed, just with hating her. Also he definitely has reasons to.

As for the sudden style change, yeah, that just happened. I've been inspired by one of my classmates from art school slightly. Also this style relies more on color than on rendering so it's quicker to execute.

I drew the original pilot trio in their black gi's (somehow also my top three favorite ninjas?)

I have slowly given into the gray eyes Jay propaganda (guess he'll still have blue eyes in the right lighting, kind of like his forever mysterious hair color), Cole meanwhile I will forever headcanon with hazel eyes.

And please don't laugh at the feet, I'm definitely using those as practice to draw feet 😅

As for their heights, I'd say Jay isn't short, it's just that Cole and Zane are rather tall.

I had a dream that could totally well be a new au.

So like: monster hunter agency Jay and Nya, except Jay totally becomes a werewolf in the middle of the story.

Also it's another situation of I saw a cool dress to put Nya in.

Lower there's a doodle of them fixing up themselves after a battle.

I am not dead, just my brain is consumed by my old ninjago avatar the last airbender au.

And when I say old I mean old. I had sketches for it in my old sketchbook, which is like from 2020. Those here however are the new stetches.

I'm also writing a bit of a fanfic, checking in at about 25 pages right now. I also have some story planned already, which is mostly based on season 1 and some of season 7 here and there.

Also funnily enough Jay in this au looks way more like actual Jay than what I usually draw him like.

Generally the fanfic includes: pilot Kai learning to be less of an asshole, season 5 Nya discovering her potential, season 1 Jay's confidence issues, Cole generally being a great guy to be around, as well as gremlin season 1 Lloyd and some season 7 Kai and Nya learning about their parents. Other than that Jay and Cole are childhood friends in this one. And it of course is definitelly leaning towards focusing on Jay.

I shouldn't be telling you this now that I think about it because it's likely I won't finish the fanfic, but, welp.
