Michael Mazurek, House Plant #4, color photograph/ durst lambda print, 46 x 58 in
Mazurek explores the repetition and banality of house plants. Also engaged in the way fine art and the common house plant are both used to improve the decor in a home. presenting fuzzy line between high and low art.

ASSESSMENT 3 - FINAL WORK 2
Looking Closer, or Looking Differently
In this experiment I took a photo of the grease and chicken remnants at the bottom of a KFC box. I edited the saturation and temperature to achieve something almost beautiful. I want to explore the grotesque and its capacity for beauty. The nauseating grease laden box is something we burry under rubbish, hide, it almost lives in shame and guilt. What happens when we glorify the repulsive?
