Separation
Requested by Anon - Could you write one where Dean finds out he has a daughter (about same age as jack is physically) with one of his old one night stand. She comes to live in the bunker, and Jack is all heart eyes for her and Dean tries to keep them apart?
You had been living in the bunker for only a week and already you and Jack were attached at the hip. You moved in with your father Dean after your mother died and although the two of you were still figuring each other out, you and Jack already knew pretty much every detail there was to know about the other person.
“Do you eat anything other than french toast for breakfast?” Dean asked, as you and Jack moved in unison around the kitchen.
“I do, but I don’t know if Jack ever will again,” you said. “Every morning it’s the same thing, ‘Y/N can we have french toast for breakfast,’ and I mean how can I say no to that face.” You squished Jack’s face in your hands while he smiled at you.
“Really guys?” Sam said, walking into the kitchen. “Where we eat food?”
You waved him off.
“So Y/N, I figured today we could start some basic training,” Dean said. “Just something to at least defend yourself with.”
“Yeah,” you said, nodding. “After breakfast?”
“Can I come?” Jack asked.
“Sure,” you said at the same time, Dean said, “No.”
“Why not?” you asked, frowning.
“I don’t need you distracted. Sam, why don’t you take Jack on whatever it was you were doing today.”
Sam rolled his eyes at Dean. “Yeah Jack, you’ll come with me today, I got some stuff to do.”
After breakfast the four of you split up and continued to every day after that.
After about a week of you barely having spent any time with Jack or even Sam for that matter, you were annoyed.
“Dad, what are you trying to do?” You were tired after a full day of training and while you just wanted to go to bed, you had dragged yourself out of your room after a shower.
Jack, Sam, and Dean were in the kitchen talking.
“What do you mean?” Dean asked.
“You don’t let me hang out with Jack anymore and I do know what you’re trying to do.”
“Listen, you two got real close real quick and I just don’t want either of you to get hurt.”
“I know you’re just trying to protect us but we are fully capable of handling our relationship, whatever it may be, by ourselves. And besides, I think Sam needs a Jack break.”
“Fine,” Dean said. “We won’t train tomorrow and Sam you can have a break.”
“Great,” you said. “Now that we have this all sorted. Jack do you want to watch a movie?”
Jack practically jumped from his seat. “Yes.”
“Watch it in the main room where I can see you,” Dean said as we left the kitchen.
You had barely made it ten minutes into the movie when you fell asleep in Jack’s arms.
