Surpriseeee! It's Kat.
I'm not dead (yet). I've just been incredibly, terribly busy ever since I moved out of home and across the entire country from the South to the North. I've been working at a theatre and it's been absolutely amazing so far, but it eats up soooo much of my time that I have a full-time job now AND need to adultâ„¢ at the same time. Like, I've got barely any energy left for hobbies, but I plan on changing that in the new year #resolutions_set
In the meantime, since I have my own place now and can do what I want (kind of), I've decided to focus on reducing the plastic in my life as best as I can and one step after another. One thing I decided to do...
... was to switch from the one-use menstrual pads to a more sustainable option. I browsed some sites, did some research and tbh, was a bit shocked at some of the prices that I saw (though they were understandable from a work/effort-point of view). I pondered over whether I should still buy some and basically forgot something very important - what I do for a living is SEWING!!! so I might just make my own! Did some more research, found some patterns and got to work. And bam! Here they are ~
I made two different versions and will post some pictures of them here and hope they will come to good use. They're made entirely of washable materials (60° is absolutely fine) and I'm excited to see how they will hold up. Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly! If you've got any questions, don't hesitate to ask away :)
Toodles, Kat ^^_/
let's save the planet together, every little thing counts!
