i decided to make a little handbook regarding my aesthetic for funs. hopefully this can help as a guide to whoever’s reading ! please enjoy ♡
mapping out who i want to be
the first step i took when dealing with my aesthetic was figuring out who i wanted to be. what does she do in her daily life? what does she look like? what are her goals? i knew i wanted to continue to be perceived as a very sweet, kind and fun loving girl while staying on top of my academics, hobbies, and achieving my goals. Not only that but having full confidence in myself and my never ending potential.
including listing down who i wanted to be, i took note of things that i wanted to improve on. my dedication, being careful of the words that i say and put into my mind, procrastination, etc. doing this gives me more insight on the mood and vibe that im going for!
i also look at the characters from books, games, or movies that i loooooved. the common traits that they had were confidence, girlyness, determined, and of course bubbly!
my inspirations consist of: celebrities, characters, movies / tv shows, design(er)s, music, books, visuals, and even random objects like rings! i've seen some discourse over inspiration and that it's better to use yourself as inspiration, which i half agree with. i believe it's perfectly fine to find inspiration through people or things as long as you understand you're cultivating YOU, not becoming somebody else. some of my inspirations are:
ultimately, i think about where i spend the most of my time on, whether it's a specific picture or song that makes me sway and question myself how i can integrate this into my personal brand and lifestyle.
i noticed late that i dont have to wear pink allllll the time just because its apart of my aesthetic. despite it hang a big part of who i am, i grew to start loving more colors like yellow and blue! its not a big part of my color palette but it does come out.
lately i’ve been loving black more. i already wear it a lot in my day to day life, but the issue is my wardrobe, which is why i’ve been replacing them piece by piece. and i don’t like wearing fully black outfits since i don’t want to give off a darker aesthetic.
so, the resolution i came up with was just using a lighter color to contrast with the black! it doesn’t have to be the clothes, but it can be the accessories or the bag.
i fully believe that what someone wears is the biggest thing one can use to express their self. it's not just a form of expression but legitimate art that can be implemented into everyday life. whenever i have a super dolly outfit on, i feel good! i heavily favor:
form fitting tops (low neck, usually not cropped) if cropped, high up
ribbed textures, thin straps or long sleeves low rise bottoms all the time!.!!!
bootcut jeans + denim shorts in pink, light denims + dark grey fold over leggings + shorts w/ designs
frilly+pleated miniskirts
form fitting dresses. can be either frilly at the ends or straight
high socks in lace, patterns, or ribbed
long+short hand warmers, earmuffs, barrettes
of course, this is really only 3% of my personal style than the vast collection. fashion is a big part of my life and i will always have a huge love for it!
i’m a hugeee voluminous hair luvr, very obvious from the pics hehe. i’ve been really loving my curly hair ever since i stopped wearing braids and have been taking much good care of it!! besides my curly hair, ive been loving side swept bangs + blunt bangs mixed with straight or voluminous hair.
i’ve also been working on growing out my curly hair. my curly hair is already long, but shrinkage annoys me to no end 🤕 so i decided to grow it even longer! i plan to cut layers into my hair soon as well. (edit: i cut layers!!)
i'm OBSESSED with makeup!!! its one of my favvvorite hobbies that i enjoy doing. i love enhancing my features with the products i apply on my face since there's so much that could be done to express myself. im continuously learning more and more until i perfect my routine.
ive been awfully interested in colorful eyeshadow, more specifically blue eyeshadow. i think it brings a lovely pop mixed with a pink lippie and makes for a great decision if one wants to go more bold. my makeup always contains these:
tight line using black eyeliner
thin, filled brows w/ gentle arch
a bit heavy pink blush on the cheeks
gloss only!!! brown liner w/ a nude or pink gloss
i’m also (!) obsessed with heavy eyeliner looks. i’m not one to go big on eyeliner at the lid, but instead at the waterline. it creates a perfect pop in contrast with blush and lips!! with makeup, i pay attention to whatever two focal points: brows + eyes, eyes + blush, blush + lips, or eyes + lips.
i find that if i do too much on all of those areas, my makeup starts looking overwhelming! the usual way to go (for me) is blush and lips, but i’ve been liking eyes + blush better.
i always view myself as a doll or a princess, and i loved to reflect that through my physical and mental! i always make sure i keep a positive mindset and see life in all colors. i am continuously growing and embracing myself! many new posts to come from me soon. bye bye!!
