Wake up call.
Only once the pull of the wind grew exhausting to stand against did Earth lower his stance, tucking his wings carefully back into place as he lowered his body to the limestone, resting atop the peak of the pyramid. Glancing down brought a dizzying few seconds of awe, the ground so far separated from his perch, and Earth could only stare for a few more minutes.
He wanted to sink into the stone itself, stay rooted here as the city transitioned from night to day, and watch as his beloved humans came from far and wide to gaze upon this wonder of their world. I wish I could listen to them think. What is it like to be so small and yet so powerful? I’ve felt small before, and powerful at times, but to be both at once? Are they even aware of how much they’ve changed me? Not just my surface, but the way I see the Universe itself? How uniquely they shine in my mind?
Fanart from Down to Earth Chapter 7 because this moment stuck out to me @deerwatcher78

The giants of the North
There are actually more other the Northern Hemisphere giants similar to these 4 (in size and the proximity), but I chose them initially.
Jeez, it was longer than I expected, but this is my first art of a star in Solarballs-ish style.
Inspired by @gamie99
In the Solarballs fandom I usually see the planets having weapons that correspond to their godly namesakes- Mars gets a spear, Neptune a Trident, etc.
Obviously this leaves Earth as the odd one out, since he's not directly named after a god. I've seen some fun interpretations, but the fact that no one has made Earth's default weapon the same as his Earthling's default weapon (A Gun) feels like quite the oversight.
Also seeing Earth with a machine gun compared to all the other planets' more traditional weapons would be REALLY funny.
I liked that Muggoski divided the chart into categories. Also I just thought that I should caption Makemake “Say smth useful” and Coatlicue “Thx for the metals”.
What if you were the second "Astrodude"?
What would you do, if you were an astronaut with a spaceship in Solarballs?
lmao. Do you also see someone familiar in these two?
Suggestion for names of Alpha and Proxima Centauri exoplanets
Since the planets were discovered recently and their stars belong to the constellation Centaurus, I propose naming them after centaurs from 20th-21st century media.
Proxima d - Ronan, calm and philosophical, likes to watch the stars, a stargazer.
Proxima b - Bane, hot-tempered and suspicious to strangers, also watches the stars.
Proxima c - Cloudbirth, careful and wise healer.
Aplha Centauri Ab - Glenstorm, respectable and serious prophet and warrior.
I think these names fit well, since Proxima d & c are tidally locked, they always look at their star. Alpha Cent Ab is a gas giant, so it has storms and it protects possible inner planets from asteroids. Proxima c is probably a distant super-earth or mini-neptune, therefore it should have many clouds.
Soviet Union takes over the Earth!!!
Oh, you gave me an idea! What if one country will take over the world and then the Earth will get the personality of a countryball?
Soviet Earth? US of Earth? Vatican Earth?! Whatever you can imagine!
How would planets react to this?
Star club
or the next events from the stars' point of view
tldr
Since rogue planets are going to liberate all planets from their stars, what will happen to last ones? In more humane case they all will be thrown to interstellar space. So let's imagine next events from this point on from their perspective.
The lonely Sun
At first, Sol will be alone with himself, with his thoughts... Someone have probably already made a post about their vision of "The Lonely Sun" or "The Sun redemption" arc, so I want to talk about other moments and let's move on.
Meeting old acquaintances
The Sun's solitude will be interrupted by Alpha and Proxima Centauri. The fact that they will be the first stars we will see (again) makes sense in several ways. They can discuss both the past and the present. The conversation may not be easy, but let's imagine that Sol will go with them to search for other stars.
Meeting new stars
The four dwarfs will meet stars we haven't seen in the show. First, Barnard's star (I even have an idea of how he will appear. If you want, I’ll tell you), Sirius A and B, may be some more, but not too many. We may see Arcturus later, as there are still some interesting stars closer to the Sun. So, a long-awaited discussion will begin with... (This is a sketch, don't judge strictly)
Toliman:
"What in a universe are these rogue balls even doing?"
Rigil:
"We have to get our planets back!"
Sirius:
"Hey, wait. Why do we even need planets? All this time we were surrounded by them, without freedom of movement. Now we are free! And we don't have to worry about accidentally crushing anyone."
Sol:
"But I will miss my planets..."
Sirius:
"Listen, if they complain that we're big and scary fireballs, then let them go. Let the rogue planets take care of them. It's not your fault you were born this way... Anyway, we all have a wonderful opportunity to get to know each other! Let me introduce myself..."
From this point soon the stars are deciding to build a star club.
Star club
From an educational point of view, stars can tell a LOT about themselves: radius, mass, distance from the Sun, class, luminosity, speed of movement, age, which constellation or asterism (for example, the winter triangle) are they belonging and other things! We can see more interesting stars! They may relax, have fun and talk about their problems...
What will happen next?
Some stars (including the Sun) may share each other about planets that once orbited them. The longing for planets (and life on some of them) may return to them again. Someone will just seek revenge on the rogues. Star club will grow up and then they can do something. I hope it won't come to war 💀, but I would like to see trials of planets against stars. Heavy brown dwarfs (nor planets or stars kinda, like Teide 1) may act as mediators.
Again, this is a theory. Or a sketch. Do you think Star club would be an amazing arc?
