♔ In the past, people were born royal and for Ausra Roze Kavaliauskė the TWENTY-SEVEN-year-old PRINCESS of LITHUANIA, that is a tradition SHE intends to keep. To others, SHE looks an awful lot like ZOEY DEUTCH and has been painted as QUIRKY & LOVABLE PRINCESS but behind closed doors, SHE is EASILY TRUSTING/MANIPULATED, & TALKS TOO MUCH but also CARES ABOUT EVERYONE & SEES THE GOOD IN EVERYTHING. It has also been said they are NOT CURRENTLY BETROTHED.
Ausra is naturally a blonde, but she dyes her hair red. She says it’s because it “makes her look cuter”, which it 100% does. Also because she finds it fitting for both her first and middle name. Ausra means ‘dawn’, Roze means ‘rose’, both of which are commonly associated with warm red/orange tones.
Being the third in-line for the throne Ausra’s never worried much about having to take over the country, so she’s always just kind of done her own thing. She stays out of trouble and goes to all the necessary political functions, but aside from her necessary classes she doesn’t do much to forward her leadership or country knowledge.
She’s low-key innocent. Not in the ‘doesn’t know how the world works’ sense, but in the very trusting and easily manipulated sense. She always sees the best in people and believes that they are good, and that can get her into a lot of trouble, especially heading to a fortress full of rebels. She’ll give everyone the benefit of the doubt, even when it’s fairly obvious they don’t deserve it, and she dreams of a world at peace where everyone can get along. A lot of people might count her as naïve, but she disagrees. Ausra thinks there’s beauty in everything and the world is a gray scale, there’s no such thing as just good and just evil.
Never formerly diagnosed, but girl is pretty ADHD. She has a really hard time sitting still, often pacing while she speaks with someone who’s sitting. And talking, good lord, this girl will talk your ear off. If you show even the slightest amount of interest she’ll tell you everything about her life, she doesn’t know how to keep her own secrets. With that said, she’d adamant about never giving away someone else’s.
Ausra prides herself on her sense of humor. She figure’s she’ll never be super-model sexy, but she can be cute and funny, and she plays to those strengths. She’s even been known to drop a practical joke every now and again.
She’s super worried about her sister since the death of her husband. She doesn’t believe she needs her vices; knowing her sister more than strong enough to make it through. She tends to come across a little clingy, but it’s just because she wants to spend time with her and hopefully see her get better and move forward.
Please provide two or more connection ideas for your character:
Betrothal - She's never been one to look forward to that kind of thing, and she's never really thought about it happening to her. Her parents always seemed more focused on the love lives of her older siblings, to the point where she was convinced they wouldn't worry about marriage for her. Not to mention that she didn't always make the best first impressions and so far, no men are lining up to marry her. With Rasa betrothed now though, anything is possible, and for the first time, she's starting to worry about it.
Childhood Friend - Thy would be a staff member, or potentially a rebel, that spent a lot of time around the palace while they were growing up. The two would have bonded from a young age, then for whatever reason, they would have stopped coming around [school abroad, family moved, etc.] and are only now after years getting the chance to reconnect.
Please answer the following questions IC:
What is one thing you are proud of/love about your country?
"Only one? That seems a little limiting don't you think? I guess the diplomatic answer is about the people and their resilience. It seems every time the world goes to war we get caught in the middle, and yet, we always rise from the ashes. At the same time though, on a very personal level, there is no cheese that can compare to Lithuanian cheese."
What is the most important thing in your suitcase?
"Another tricky question... I should probably tell you the story of the Saint Christopher pendant I got as a teenager. Or maybe the story of the young soldier that visited once and picked a flower from my own garden to give to me that I pressed and kept. In reality though, life is about the journey, not what you pack to take with you. ...and I have some smoked gouda."
Who and/or what will you miss most from home
"My siblings I think, and my parents. I know it's weird to be twenty seven and still live at home, but to be fair it is a very big house. You get used to seeing everyone all the time and having meals together. Yes, I get to see friends I miss dearly, my sister is here, and I get to meet wonderful new people, but it's not quite the same. Also, the cheese maker."
