@natteal
I know I’ve already reblogged this but I thought it was worth mentioning that medicine covering for racial violence is nothing new
sad that this young woman has had her health damaged so severely by puberty blockers, but is so scared of being excommunicated by her ingroup for even considering what terfs are saying that she feels the need to spit such disgusting performative bile at other women. when the evil radfems have been the ones warning about these dangerous hormones all along.
Girlhood is going from being a little girl to getting catcalled almost over night.
Girlhood is bleeding through your pants in elementary school because you got your period earlier than the other girls.
Girlhood is breast pain that comes with the over sexualization from your early development.
Girlhood is the boys smacking you on the ass in the hallway as his friends laugh. Your best friend says it means he likes you.
Girlhood is having the rape talk before the sex talk.
Girlhood is invasive.
Girlhood is tampons and fingers and comments that leave a weird feeling in your stomach.
Girlhood is feeling like you don’t own your body.
Girlhood is being scared you’re pregnant at 14 because your boyfriend coerced you into sex.
Girlhood is unwanted hands, speculums, and cold doctors offices.
Girlhood is getting your first vaginal exam and birth control prescription at age 11 because your periods were heavy.
Girlhood is longing, hurting, bleeding, suffering.
Girlhood is NOT about wearing dresses and bras and being pretty.
I’m sick of our struggles being appropriated and practically mocked by sick, mentally ill, perverted men.
First drawings by Paul Komoda for the design of Heidi Klums worm suit
“I was still thinking 'stylish and sexy', so these resemble inflatable fetish fashion ware.”
i like how she was like “nah bro make it more like kafka roach on a bed”
the way that heidi klum said "i want to be a realistic worm" and designers said "i got you, you want to wear degrading latex fetishwear"...the misogyny of it all.
"makeup is an art form!!" ok but even when y'all do full faces of alien makeup, you still start by contouring your face. when you make yourself look like Frankenstein, you still have perfectly clear skin. you're supposed to be Frankenstein, but your blush is immaculate.
even "artistic" makeup starts with the same expectations
literally. these are all still clearly based in societal expectations
Truth
Good evening this was submitted, i hate men and i hate sex offenders
u/Nelly_Bean
Of course the replies were all like you expected them to be. Supportive. Except for a few.
And then:
The trans community always seems to be the most forgiving to those that commit assault (physically or sexually), one in this thread detailing how it sucks that anything can get put on the sex offender registry- 'even public urination!' as if whipping your dick out in public is completely normal. Men will stand in solidarity with each other regardless of the accusation i swear. A sex crime? It must have been false, after all there's suuuch a high rate of false reports and convictions.
The cherry on top is this same man making a post about how he's not hitting it off with the lesbians and he is tired of it!
"as an excuse" "tried to educate"
Based lesbian telling him she's into female women lol
Just date other trans lesbians. They're women too aren't they? Why don't you see them as women you fucking terf???
i would simply shake him really hard . sorry. i’ll shut up.
shake jesus sunday..idk..i’m not confident about this post.
love this!)
This photo was taken in 2013 during the Chrstmas mass in the Cologne Cathedral. The activist is Josephine Witt, the protest was a statement against the anti-abortion stance of Joachim Meisner, then the archbishop of Cologne and is widely considered to be the coolest thing ever to happen during Christmas mass.
I'm BEGGING people to be more critical of men who make films about women and please do not give them your money cause you're curious. This is fucking awful.
Oh god this resonates so much. I don't know how to communicate the emotions I felt being one of like 3 women in a class while all 20-30 guys around me made rape jokes and laughed and told me to lighten up when I complained, or talked about "what type of Asian is your favourite" like we were breeds of dog or cuts of meat, or hear the guy beside me say "who cares?" when the prof announced that the first woman had just won the fields medal, or even just the blatant staring when I walked into class like I was some kind of foreign object.
"As we learned in the previous chapter, women who are invested in masculine domains often have to perform in the unpleasant and unrewarding atmosphere created by stereotype threat. Anxiety, depletion of working memory, lowered expectations, and frustration can all ensue. But there is a solution, albeit a rather radical one. As Claude Steele observed, "women may reduce their stereotype threat substantially by moving across the hall from math to English class." Stereotype threat can do more than impair performance- it can also reduce interest in cross-gender activities. A striking demonstration of this was provided by Mary Murphy and her colleagues at Stanford University. Advanced math, science, and engineering (MSE) majors were asked to give their opinion on an advertising video "for an MSE summer leadership conference that Stanford was considering hosting the next summer." Under the cover story that the researchers were also interested in physiological reactions to the video, heart rate and skin conductance were recorded, to give a measure of arousal. After watching the ad, the students were asked questions to assess how much they felt they would belong at such a conference, and how interested they were in attending. There were two, near-identical videos, depicting about 150 people. However, in one video the ratio of men to women approximated the actual gender ratio of MSE degrees: there were three men to every woman. In the second video, men and women were featured in equal numbers. Women who saw the gender-equal which video responded very much like men, both physiologically and in their sense of belonging and interest in the conference. But for women who saw the more realistically imbalanced version, it was a very different experience. They became more aroused - an indicator of physiological vigilance. They expressed less interest in attending the conference when it was gender unbalanced. (Interestingly, so did men - although this was probably, one can't help but think, for different reasons.) And although women and men who saw the gender-equal balanced video very strongly agreed that they belonged there, the conviction of this agreement among women who saw a gender imbalance was significantly lower. Under the naturalistic condition of male dominance, they were no longer so sure that they belonged."
- Cordelia Fine, Delusions of Gender
Yooooo reading Delusions of Gender and
Among these participants, men and women in the threat condition, as well as men in the nonthreat condition, all scored about 19 percent on this very difficult test. But women in the nonthreat group scored an average of 30 percent correct, thus outperforming every other group – including both groups of men. In other words, the standard presentation of a test seemed to suppress women’s ability, but when the same test was presented to women as equally hard for men and women, it ‘unleashed their mathematics potential.
The threat condition was being told the test was determining why some people are better at math than others. The nonthreat condition was that + being told there were no gender differences.
Literally our natural state is "omg don't fuck up. omg don't fuck up"
We're constantly primed to fail. I mean, just about any task we do is something men are supposedly better at, and it's seeping into traditionally female work and hobbies too. "Not your grandma's knitting" comes to mind. How long until nothing we do is seen as something we're capable of? How long until there's nothing we can do that doesn't put that voice at the back of our heads telling us we can't fuck up or we ruin it for all of us?
another stereotype threat setup is having to explicitly state you're a member of a group (that everyone knows is expected to perform worse)... which is what happens to women in every single pronoun circle :)
Three different Scooby Doo reboots in a year, Pokemon games dropping drastically in quality so they can milk $$$ out of consumers, craig McCracken pitched 18 new unique shows and were all rejected in favor of reboots, 14 new star wars spinoffs this month, marvel making a show about how marvel makes too many shows, everyone flocking to that fucking game of thrones prequel
women tweeted about being assaulted by a homeless men and braindead misogynists are instead more concerned for the man who assaulted her
I know we’re not supposed to “resort to violence” and “women support women” but it would be ON SIGHT for her

I hate this dude. She is uncomfortable. She didn’t ask him to do that.
