no longer here cause I am tired of the Discourseā¢ļø, I just find it silly, specially since Recent Events have put things into perspective for me. I am also so jaded with people right now because so many supposed anti-racists turned out to be the dumbest and most vile human beings so š¤·š½āāļø people get really mad when you stick to your beliefs and aren't just gobbling up every new propaganda paid for by terrorists.
The deeper I research the Israel and Palestine conflict, the more confused I am. Lucky day to be a privileged, white European, I suppose? But damn do I feel bad for the women and children stuck in that shitstorm.
The Quick Rundown
Palestinians have always lived in Palestine alongside Jews and Christians for a very long time. After WWI and the fall of the Ottoman Empire, Europe divided the Middle East among themselves, Britain claimed Palestine in the name of their uncontrollable colonialism.
After WWII, some very antisemitic Brits who didn't want more Jews in THEIR country said "Hey, why don't you take Palestine? Nobody lives there*!" (*In fact, about 2 million people lived there, 60% Palestinian Muslims, 31% Jews, 8% Christian, and 1% Druze.) The Zionists gladly took Palestine because they saw it as "their land" given from god. The Zionists renamed it Israel and through a lot of violence, caused the Nakba (the disaster) in 1948, where they forced around 750,000 Palestinians off of their ancestral land and committed dozens of massacres.
They emptied over 500 Arab villages, towns, and cities and took them for themselves. By the end of the Nakba, Israel had taken over 75% of Palestinian land. Over the years, through illegal settlement projects, Israel has taken more and more, forcing Palestinians into the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, both under high surveillance and policing, they've even taken land from Syria and Lebanon through this illegal process.
The land called Palestine has never been a singularly Jewish land, yes they have ancient history there, but so do many other peoples (It's in the Fertile Crescent after all). But thanks to Zionism (belief in Jewish Ethnic superiority) they have rewritten history and claim it is solely for THEM and has always been so, because a really old book says so, and everyone else needs to get out or die.
Since then Gaza has become a prison. People cannot leave, Israel controls their electricity, access to water, and all access to supplies (food, wares, medicine, etc). They've squeezed 2 million people into a land area about the size of Washington D.C.

Palestine was colonized by Britain, Britain gave away something that wasn't theirs to being with, Zionists said "great, Arabs aren't people so we'll just get rid of them by any means necessary," the Arabs fight back (many times over 80 years), Israel claims victimhood and "we have a right to defend ourselves!!!!", but if Arabs defend themselves they're definitely terrorists. It's DARVO on a massive scale.
Yeah here's the thing. Jews were living on that land for an unbroken time for 4000 years, which is supported by archaeological evidence. And it was Jewish land for 2000 years before the Romans got there.
Isreal the kingdom of Judah (hence the term jew) was first occupied by the Roman's that used Palestine as an insult. That was 600 years before Arab colonialism and Islam was even a thing. And the Arabs, are from Saudi Arabia, hence the name Arab.
Durning the next 1400 years it was a host of people including Jews fighting over the Jewish homeland, the British government called all of Isreal and Jorden and Syria, British Palestine Mandate. Which they did take from the Ottoman Empire.
It's important to note that there isn't a P in the Arabic language. And anything that is Muslim is built over something Jewish.
And once again the Arabs run the city of Jerusalem, the Jews being second class citizens there, because they hated them so much, they tried to buddy up with Hitler durning WWII which is when the British people who yes didn't want ashkenazi Jews living in Britain. Fully gave that land and military support to Isreal.
The city of Jerusalem was supposed to be neutral territory guess how well that went over? Not very.
You see during the time that British mandate Palestine existed they were already giving the Jews, (Balfour Declaration, which those talks didn't include any locals) swamp land, it was which had hilarious numbers of pestilence that was causing huge swaths malaria. They got rid of the Swamp land, turned it into farmland. The malaria was gone from Israel, which meant there was a population boom for about 20 years before WWII so the Arabs where like nah this is ours and infact we don't want any Jews here what so ever. So there plan was to empty their own citizens out of the area and kill everyone left.
It didn't work out that that way, not only did half of the Arabs tell them to get fucked they were staying, but the newly formed Isreal had the backing of the British(barely but they where still there). That was the 1948 war.
All those Muslim folks that stated and found beside the Jewish state are one of the reasons why they didn't name their land Judah again, they named it Israel to be more inclusive.
Gaza (a Hebrew word) was apart of Isreal until 2005 where they removed all their own citizens by force. To give the Arab Palestinian coalition, which was formed during the 60s, their own land and what happened. Hamas literally took that land over in a heartbeat so for 20 years, those gods have been under a terrorist organization where they literally kill any political opposition. And when they kill their political opposition, they take the dude's wife..

People seem reluctant to admit that Israel is ultimately motivated by religion: "the chosen people" and their "sacred land" as determined by "Yahweh" their god. They think they are superior by blood because of a silly book of fiction. Anybody who's read the Torah (and even the Bible) can attest to its racist and eugenics values. And in the book they do go around massacring the people who aren't Jewish and they steal their land and rape their girls.
People also seem to ignore that Israel's current government is not left wing, nor regular right wing, it's alt-right. That's why it's getting along so well with Trump's government. And they've made it very clear that they are trying to "take back their land", meaning getting rid of Palestine and its people. That is why a number of jews internationally don't support Israel.
Great example here, from a french "journalist" and news show host. This is what she recently said:

Now how can you expect to be correctly informed about what Israel is doing when a prominent news show host speaks like that?

Tribute fanart for Radfem/GC YouTuber RunawaySiren940 after hearing about her untimely passing yesterday. I'm still in utter shock at this, she was so young and had her whole life ahead of her, she was taken too soon and I'm feeling heartbroken. I had watched her content since 2021 and it was inspiring seeing her grow and perfect her craft as well as see her hold the line for lesbians, gays, and gender nonconforming people.
As far as I'm concerned, she's an icon, standing among the likes of Magdalen Berns and I just hope that wherever she is, she's resting in peace and power (thoughts and prayers for her family & friends). this is on my blog at least 5 times already but i had to reblog it again, because i was catching up on local news from this morning (mostly following the hīkoi which i sadly couldn't attend bc disability)
and maipi-clarke (the girl starting the haka) spoke briefly on this going viral
she confirmed that the haka in protest was planned, but it wasn't supposed to be her that started it, it was supposed to be the much older and more experienced rawiri waititi (known perhaps most recently for declaring mÄori independence in response to the new government)
but instead they handed the bill to her. and this is speculation on my part, but given how our current right wing government has been pulling out a lot of dirty tricks lately to avoid mÄori protests, i wouldn't be surprised if they gave it to the youngest member of parliament (she's only 22), because they figured she would be the least likely to be brave and step up
