Hi people,
this evening I got a message from an account that said they reported me by "mistake", they explained a quite crazy scenario to me saying I had to go talk with someone on Discord to discuss the situation and save my account that had been reported by them, and few of their friends (ofc). I was suspisious but I carefully gave it a try.
The discord account is elituckerrtumblr, wich is someone that use Tumblr's former CTO name (Eli Tucker) and picture. I added him, talked with him and he ended up being really weird and insistant on getting information he does'nt need. So I refused collaborating and he deleted me from his friend list.
On the other side, the person that reached for me in the first place is asherwesst (on Tumblr), this person had send me a screen of an email from Tumblr explaining why I needed to go talk to "Eli Tucker" on discord. The person and the email were both really stressing by making the situation urgent (not to mention I got asked to "give your fully cooperation to him"). Well, when I told asherwesst that the guy on discord was weird, they stopped responding and then blocked me.
My apologize for the long ass post but I think it's kinda important and I hope it will help some of you. Please be carefull there. Tumblr staff/ support would never ask you to have a discussion on Discord or on any other social media.
If anyone need some precision because, I'm aware I might have written all this like shit, don't hesitate to write a note or a comment or a dm idk.
