I should not have woken up that day. I should not have woken up that day because, when I woke up, I had lost him. I had lost my world, my everything. As my tears pool around my crumpled body, i pray that death would take me soon. I don't want to live without you, my love. I don't want to live without you by my side.

"Alex. Alex wake up! ALEX!" Alex jolted up, startled. In an instant she was on the floor.

"Ouch."

"Told you not to sleep on the couch." Nik pulled her up slowly and started rubbing the side of her arm that hit the floor when she fell from the couch.

"Why did you have to shout in my ear!?" Alex jerked her hand away from him and walked towards the bathroom.

"Hey, I'm sorry. Alex, hey," Nik grabbed her hand to stop her. "Wait."

"Leave my hand dude"

"I'm sorry."

"It's okay."

"Are you sure?"

"Let me wash my face," she said, chuckling."

"So, we're good?" He asked as he let her go.

"Of course, babe," Alex said as she pressed a kiss to his cheek. She walked away, smiling, leaving a flustered and confused Nik behind.

"Babe…" He shook his head and cleared his throat. "By the way, Ivy wants us to meet her at the mansion. Said she got a lead. That's why i woke you up."

"But it's not even dark yet."

Nik heard the tap turn off and Alex walked out. "Yeah, but we got other things to do. Get some arrows from Luc and stuff."

Alex wrapped her arms around him and tilted her head up to him. "When's our Netflix and chill?" She asked.

Nik smiled and kissed her forehead. "Tomorrow night?"

She smiled. "Tomorrow night."

"My love."

The words echoed around the dimly lit hall. It was followed by the sound of footsteps, which slowed down as a woman dressed in black hunting gear and a cape walked over to a statue. She reached out one of her hands and cupped the statue's face, smiling dreamily.

"Today is the day, my love. I wish you were here to watch me ripoff that scoundrel. You would be so proud of me." The woman stood on her tiptoes and pressed her lips to the statue's. "Wish me luck."

The grave yard was in its usual creepiness and Nik had just finished bottling up a ghost in his flask when his phone rang.

"Hey, Rook."

"You done there? Ivy's waiting." The other end said.

"Yeah, this one was a bit hard but i could take it. You should have seen me fight, though." Nik knew that Alex could feel him smirk.

"Oh I have seen it tons of times. Did you get the things from Luc?"

"No, he said he ran out of them! Can you believe it? That guy always runs out of things, I swear. Wonder what people are doing with all these stuff."

"You know, I heard someone saying…"

Nik was distracted by a sound coming from afar. "Wait, do you hear that?"

"…and someone in a hood was– hear what?"

"That smell… hold on."

"What are you talking about, Nik? What smell?"

Nik tried to focus on his surroundings and the figure that was approaching him. But his sight was becoming blurred and his head was becoming heavier.

"Alex, I…" Nik dropped the phone . He could not stand on his two feet no more, and collapsed to the ground.

What do you think the NB LIs would be like as parents?

Hello lovely anonymous, I really like your question and it's very nice of you to drag by. I hope I can answer your question perfectly.

Nik Ryder: Wouldn't want to become a parent, especially with the hard life he had, but who knows how Main Character will change him at the end. If he would be a parent, then a little strict and probably too overprotective. He's afraid if something terrible would happen to his loved ones. But from the inside he can be a softie with a big heart and cares about the ones he's close to. I mean if Elijah can raise a child, so can Nik, right? Plus, the several names he'll give like: cutie-pie, buddy, princess, kiddo,...

Katherine: Also, doesn't want to become a parent with the terrible past she had. Hunting monsters and protecting the world is her job, but she wasn't like this before. Before she became a nighthunter, she had a normal life, was pre-med-student and I assume she wanted to find true love and create her own family. We'll see what could happen after meeting the Main Character. As a parent, she's going to be the one who teaches decipline and how to be strong. Never give up! Be proud! Face the cruel world and reality how it is! But from the inside... family is the most important thing what counts. She will become a better parent than her parents who abandoned her and weren't proud about her new life. She will try to spend more time and worship the family she never had.

Cal Lowell: More likely of wanting to become a parent. A good parent, especially the way he treats and loves his younger brother. For a lonely wolf, family is important to him. He'll be a loving and caring parent who will teach his children some important life lessons, and not the things which the werewolf pack does. Cal will keep his family safe in his tiny and cozy wood house, away from danger and threats.

Vera Reimonenq: Always dreamed of finding true love and create a tiny family. She's loving, caring, friendly and supportive. The only problem will be... The Ancestral Curse of the Reimonenq Touch, which she wants to get rid of. Imagine how much she has to train her children of not touching anything with bare hands, especially when children do whatever they like. Her childhood was hard enough and when she found out that she could kill human beeings... she broke. Aaaaand she has to keep the children away from dangerous grandma Smoke.

My Nightbound Love Interest: Nik Ryder

Favorite scenes with Nik: Almost every romantic and hot Nik Ryder scene. I mean, the way Nik speaks, talks, confesses and loves... with full passion makes me so emotional. His words so powerful and hearttouching. And him beeing protective not only as a bodyguard, also as a lover. He's a hot romancer. The way he gets jealous if people tried to impress Main Character. The way he saved and carried Main Character away from danger at end of chapter 1. I liked the scene where Main Character and he faught together, back-against-back with blight-blades on the ghost ship like a team. I just love their dynamic, the way the ghost lady flirted with Nik and made my Main Character so jealous. Later, the way Main Character hides behind Nik's back from the angry ghost was such a cute choice. Then the moment where Main Character saved their own bodyguard from the wolves after the alpha died. Lol, the way Nik made fun of Main Character when they punched a ghost. How stupid of me to punch a ghost?!!!!! Remember when Nik cut his finger for Main Character to locate the bloodwraith, I was like "Nooooooo, poor Nik." Okay, actually it was the part of the spell to spill the caster it's blood when they were in woods with Kristof, trying to find the bloodwraith. But still, the way it must have hurt, the way Nik had to inhalte the smoke to see the creature, the pain, the bleeding, his lungs burning... My poor Nik, he's so strong. Eeeek, and he's so heroic, he once saved the pegasi herd but sadly had to suffer among the evil Blight Brothers gang who pushed him to drink that nasty snake-tequila. He risked his life for a herd of missing pegasi. Isn't that heroic? He likes animals, how cute. When he saw the black cat, he said "Hey, little fella" or something and talked sweetly with the cat, even knowing that the cat won't answer back in human language. How cute!! Even though it was a shapeshifter at the end and not a cute kitty. Nik deserves so much love.

HC? Headcanons of my own Nightbound Main Character (Alex)? Okay, I do have a few:

Alex was born with silver hair and was a natural beauty which is why she had a lot attention. Born with an unnatural hair color? Never got sick or had any health issues? Attractive and beautiful? A brilliant eye sight? Now she knows, that this all has to do with her royal fae blood.

Alex and her mother love eachother but aren't close anymore. Jacqueline wants to see her child beeing successful in life like her, but Alex thinks she's always disappointing her mother.

Alex's mother, Jacqueline is an accountant in Wyoming and her partner (they're not married) a business man who is Alex's adoptive father

Alex's adoptive father treats Alex well and helped Jacqueline to raise her

Alex wants to have a cute pet, but not a snake like her mother does.

Alex doesn't know that there are family secrets, Jacqueline is hiding some things...

Alex was a very shy girl till she met Kristin Jones. Now they're both eneryfilled bombs. She still remaines the calmer one and uses her brain while her friend doesn't care. No one can stop Kristin Jones from flirting with hot boys and havimg great parties.

Alex's hobbies are playing the violine and reading Fantasy Books.

Alex likes unicorns, pegasi, hippogriffs and dragons. She wants to see them herself and ride on them, but a sudden bodyguard doesn't allow her that.

Garrus considers Alex his younger fae sister now that it's been revealed that she's a fae too. Alex always wanted a sibling but Tialo, her half-brother refused her which is why Garrus became the big brother and her best friend. (Also, Garrus started adressing her with respect and title since she's the duke's daughter and Alex doesn't like that.)

Alex wants Nik and Katherine to teach them some cool fighting skills.

Cal once asked her to play violine along his piano play. Plus, Garrus wants to show off his singing and dancing skills.

Vera and Alex became very close friends, but Lady Smoke, Vera's mother tries everything to seperate the two of them. Her daughter is befriended with her enemy?? Since Alex defeated the bloodwraith, one of the most dangerous creatures, earned the Fate's blessings/respect and has lifted into the high class, Lady Smoke secretly got jealous of her.
