So I wanna talk about this, because we're not doing this.

tw: sexual harrassment, suicide attempt references, etc. Here's the deal. If you have a legitimate reason why you can't speak up, such as too much shit going on in your real life, or something being triggering, that's one thing. But refusing to speak up because you "don't want attention" is bullshit. Believe it or not, I would prefer NOT to have to do what I do here on simblr and twitter. I don't like having to try to shout into the wind at a community that seems not to give a damn. But, I do it because I know this is right. And I have my convictions. The problem is, we need people to speak up. Here's what's FUNNY to me. EA changes the rules on paid CC and for 1.5 days everyone and their mother had an opinion or a thought on what was going on. You had people worried about losing livlihoods, you had people cussing out EA and their own supporters, you had full on tantrums and people blaming the paywallers...you had a full spectrum of reactions. YET, when I am sexually harrassed, have an active smear campaign running against me, when @timmssimmsplays is told to go off himself, when Bucky (who isn't in the community anymore) attempts to harm themselves TWICE....the community is quiet as a mouse. THAT. IS. FUCKED. UP.

I do not care what community you are in, that is a fucked up state of priorities when a community cares more about potentially losing a chance to make money over people being told to ki1l themselves.

And you wanna know what allowed this shit to go on? It's people like you who are so fucking scared of people they "admire" chastising them, that they never speak up even when those people are literally fleecing everyone else and treating the community like shit. I get that it's hard to speak up on your own. But you can reblog. You can share resources. You can write a short statement saying "I am not for how this community has been taken advantage of by certain people and I will not support those people." You can educate new creators. There's tons of ways to speak up without being AS vocal as I am. But staying silent is NOT an option. Staying silent is allowing people to potentially DIE.

This is not "pointless sims drama". This is people's lives. Real people's mental health being attacked over a fucking video game. But if more people speak up, they can't attack everyone, and maybe, just maybe, they'll realize we're bigger than they are.

^ This is how paywallers and their minions think. They don't want people standing up to them. Because they are growing fat off of us. They are taking vacations and making doctors salaries off of us, often using models they didn't fucking make themselves. And when we start to rise up, they attack those who are brave like myself and Timm and try to get us to shut up for fear the rest of you guys will join us. Because if you do, that's the ballgame. So it's time to stop living in fear of people WE outnumber. It's time for us to stop being afarid of them. They are REPLACABLE. Their work can be REPLICATED. We do NOT need them in our community. This is no longer a #sims issue. This is a LGBTQ+ issue because Timm is Gay and got harrassed. This is a #metoo issue because I got sexuallty targeted and harrassed. This is a transgender rights issue because Cowbuild told Bucky (a trans man) that he didn't exist. This is a cyber security issue because paywallers are tracking private information and sharing it among each other and we STILL don't have the full list of what's going on.

This is NO longer just some shitty sims drama. These are fucking REAL world issues. And if you are silent, you are complacent. The ONLY excuse you have for not speaking up is if the real world is too much for you right now, or the subject/content is too triggering. That's honestly it.

If you can't speak for yourself, reblog my shit, reblog shit from @littleblackbooksims, or other people who speak on this, but you CANNOT and should not stay silent if you have the ability to speak.

Regarding all of the backlash from these perma paywallers in the sims community with EA’s updated TOS…

I don’t recall now who wrote it, but it pissed me off so much with the excuses that were laid out as to why these cc creators and modders deserve and “need” to be paid to make a living to keep them from being homeless and to keep food on their tables… blah blah blah. It pissed me off so much cause bitch I AM HOMELESS right now and you don’t see me trying to profit off of a game that I don’t have any rights to. I could have easily started sharing meshes I’ve been making for a fee if I wanted. Or something much more simple such as builds and sims. Not trying to toot my own horn but I know I’m rather talented when it comes to those things. There’s so much I’ve created but have yet to even share publicly lol. But anyway, I’ll never charge anyone ever for any of those things! For one, it’s always just been a hobby and I feel much better just simply sharing my creations with the sims community rather than making any sort of profit off of it. For another it’s for a game that isn’t mine and I don’t have any rights to be making any sort of profit from it. If cc creators (and these are the ones who actually do make their own meshes and don’t steal them from other sources) want to make money from their 3d models than they should be sharing the models on 3d modeling sites for a fee. They have absolutely no justification to bitch about profiting from a game they don’t have any rights to, period. And the excuses need to fucking stop cause I’ve heard and read more than enough of it. Many got hit hard from the virus, it doesn’t give you a right to profit from something that isn’t yours and have been told you do not have the right to do so. How about looking at allll of the other ppl in the sims community who would love to be able to enjoy some of that cc in their game or that one mod that helps to change so much, but they can’t afford to pay for it because they too are suffering. The sims has always been a little escape for me and I am sure it is the same for most people since it is just a game. It’s something enjoyable to do to help take your mind off of whatever stresses you may have going on and to just relax and have a little fun. These perma paywallers need to seriously stop with their bullshit excuses and either follow EA’s TOS or get the fuck out of this community entirely. Same goes for the assholes that claim early access when early access WAS supposed to be for a 2 week maximum, quoted from one of the gurus, and instead would keep it behind a paywall for months. They can all just fuck right off at this point I’m so tired of their bs. OMG and this ridiculous “work around” of completely disassociating themselves from the sims and EA/Maxis, and only sharing 3d models for a fee with the “free” option of it being converted to a sims 4 package file is also complete bs! It’s still a file type you don’t have the rights to be converting to that is ultimately blocked behind a paywall. You still have to use a mesh from the game to convert it. It’s bs and you greedy greedy monsters know it yet you do not care. I’m so done with it.

I can also personally verify that I have seen evidence/truth of Bucky's claims. They have sent me pictures of the vet bill and other items, which are accurately dated. So uh, this isn't it anon. Also ya wanna know what's funny? Let's just call these folks what they are. They aren't "creators". 80-90% of them aren't "creating" anything. They are converting models and content to a game, and to be honest in the case of a lot of them (/stares hard at Leosims and AK) doing a piss-poor job of it. We reveal that, and suddenly we're the bad guys? For attacking "artists"? These aren't real artists. Real artists give credit and don't fucking steal artwork. Real artists know that art isn't about monetization, but about enjoyment. Another GREEDY Chinese sims 4 CC(custom content) creator.  Check the creator Patreon---not even consistent in providing his/her patrons cc--this cc creator skipped every other month seems like.  I screenshot the $3 making sure this tier is for both early access and exclusive (month).

Asan333, KIKIW formerly known PAPI, Mayasims and etc. From $3 and jump to their next tier $10 -removing $5 so you are FORCE to take $10 tier if you want their exclusive cc’s. What a sleazy move—disgusting and an ethical business practice! How can you support these cc creators when they do something like this? Kikiw just posted removing the tier $5 and asking her patrons to change their tier to $10 -WOW the nerved—and kIWI just releasing earrings most of the time and only one or if you are lucky two digital clothes for a month. Simblreen 2021

I'm so excited to announce that I will be participating in this year's Simblreen! I've already signed up on the official document.

To accommodate time zones, I will be turning my "porchlight" on for the full weekend starting 8pm (PST) on each Friday night and turning it off each Monday morning at 8am (PST).
