i hate most of dub zexal's censoring yet i must admit to a bit of fondness for censoring vector's mad king actions because like

every yugioh spinoff is a certain % also a sports anime and a certain % also a magical girl anime. i'd say the highs on the sports anime sides are gx/arc-v where it's A Career people go into and that's very present and the highs on the magical girl anime are zexal, which has some lategame duels preceded by a straight minute of transformation sequence, and vrains, where most people have a civilian/magical girl design gap and the special summon method of choice has effectively casting animations and personalized chants

was midway through a text rant to my friends about how i could make the most 6/10 ass stereotypical mascot horror barney movie about a serial killer that is a traumatized former child actor on barney who hijacks the suit and takes the live audience hostage and makes the audience play evil versions of the barney games (i don’t actually remember any of them) to liberate the kids from their parents and teach the main character about standing up to her dad or something when i realized i’m just doing death game horror again. all roads lead back to saw i guess.

Just found out that after two years of knowing them to be a Deltarune fan that a friend doesn't know who Gaster is and has never fought the secret bosses. I tried explaining Gaster and why he's relevant but they remained set on the fact that 90% players will not know this, and that it's just an easter egg. What a baffling way to interact with the game.
