Laws are not preventative, laws are punitive.

You can’t punish someone for a crime until after they’ve done it, assuming you even catch them or can prove that they did it.

Gun Control is an attempt at preventative lawmaking, which ignores due process and punishes innocent people for the actions of the guilty.

Murder being illegal does nothing to stop someone who wants to murder. All it does is handle it after the fact.

A better example then murder would be weed.

The only thing weed Being illegal does is punish people who get caught. It doesn’t stop anyone. if I wanted to get a joint, I could have 6 from all different sources in an hour or so. If I wanted an illegal gun it would take me about the same amount of time.

My dad has an actual firing crossbow that he made in 8th grade shop class. The whole class made them. Can you imagine 25 - 8th graders wondering the halls of a school with crossbows and bolts?

My brother and I were enrolled in hunters safety classes very young and taught gun safety and respect for firearms all our youth. It used to be a rite of passage. We always had shot guns, hunting rifles and pistols around the home and all our relatives did also. Respect for fire arms and gun safety takes away the fear we are witnessing currently but not the idiocy that Far left anti-2nd amendment progressives are infected with. There is no cure for stupidity.
