EMOTIONAL MOMENT: looked up Dad’s results from yesterday’s @spartan race and he was the OLDEST guy (68 yrs old) to run yesterday in the WV Sprint, possibly oldest period and he finished ahead of the next oldest guy (65 yrs old) by over an hour and still finished ahead of at least 50 other guys. Dad asked me yesterday during the race if there was anyone his age racing, I had no idea he would be the oldest. I told him I’d check the day after. When I called him and told him what he accomplished, he began to cry and thank me for helping him get through it, of which I end up crying, because I was so proud of him for even attempting it. It was an amazing moment, and I was glad to be able to literally lift my dad up and watch him accomplish something he never thought he’d be able to do. It was a tough and hilly Sprint and he crushed it. SO I HAD AN IDEA..... I keep getting asked what I’ve done to lean out lately. Well for a few years I hit a plateau and then stress caused me to pack on the pounds. So the answer is: I figured out that mindset, pushing myself harder, portion control but not starving myself helped me get the results I’ve always wanted. Todd and I enjoy helping people achieve what we’ve been able to achieve, showing them what’s possible and for that reason I came up with an idea to do a ”FIND YOUR INNER BADASS” Challenge. A lot of us feel like the person we want to be is buried inside and we don’t know how to let them out or are afraid to let them out. Life is too short to not feel good about the person you see in the mirror or to have the confidence to own who you are. It doesn’t mean you have to look like me, it can be whatever a Badass means to you. We’re all different shapes and sizes, I just want you to embrace your badass the way you envision it looking.
