Since Gabriel is working with Lila, I had this idea that Jagged Stone and Audrey begin a public fight all over every single social media they can get thier hands on. Why? Because they want Marinette as their designer. Audrey believes Lila has no talent and Gabriel had finally snapped. She wants to have a teenage muse of her own. And who better than Marinette-someone who is actually talented. Jagged wants his pretty much adopted niece to get noticed for her work and won't allow her to be under the clutches of someome like Audrey who could possibly harm Marinette. But neither of them physically bring Marinette into it, because doing so would result in an automatic loss. Audrey knows Jagged has that advantage and Jagged knows Audry won't do anything to hurt her chances.
And this goes on for good while. Jagged and Audrey constantly fighting to the point where the Gabriel brand is suffering. No matter what Gabriel tries, Lila is constantly being overlooked by the public fighting or is simply bashed by every tabloid in Paris. It gets worse when Marinette actually gets dragged into it. She gets hit by the paparazzi constantly (more than Adrien would be) and they push her to choose, and she doesn't. Everytime she says she admires both of them and asking her to do that is wrong.
Lila tries spinning her own lies about it. The Gabriel brand gets bashed for Gabriel's new muse being "an insecure jealous teenager" and that the brand isn't what it used to be. Paris is more interested in the public fights between two of its most famous citizens.
Marinette suggests out of anger that both of her idols stop fighting and she would be happy to work with both of them. The fight changes from "Marinette should work with me and you don't deserve her" to "Marinette likes me better and I'll make sure you can't have her."
Gabriel is at his wits end. Adrien purposely screws up the shoots and the press absolutely wants nothing to do with Lila. And the only way to get his brand back on top is to let go of Lila. It doesn't matter what she says because while yes, Paris is full of gullible people who believe her lies, he still has more power as Gabriel Agrest and can shoot down anything she claims.
Eventually Marinette somehow manages to calm the fight down and a lot less public fighting happens. She gets Audrey and Jagged to do a collaboration. She'll design Jagged's tour outfit and Adury can release it under her brand. And then it all hits the fan.
Gabriel tossed his hat in the ring. He wants Marinette to work under him.
Jagged and Audrey break their truce and Paris' media is in flames. For the next two months Gabriel, Audrey, and Jagged are all at each other's throats.
Audrey says that she hasn't gotten the chance to work with Marinette and that they aren't being fair. Gabriel missed his chance when he chose Lila and Jagged can't do what he said he promised because his business is music not fashion.
Gabriel says that he knows how to work with teenagers and that he picked her hat for a reason. He claims Audrey would destroy her and would try and make Marinette into what she wanted while saying Jagged would waste her talents on a simple generic topic.
Jagged fired back with the ace up his sleeve saying that Marinette has done more for him than the two combined and that he cares about her like a niece. Gabriel wouldn't appreciate her as an artist, and she's just another designer who would be molded into his image. Audrey wouldn't keep her around because of how often she fires people and Marinette wouldn't be any different.
Marinette has absolutely no idea how do deal with it. She can't say anything without feeding the fire. Penny and Nathalie aren't very helpful either, because the two assistants have been working tirelessly to try and (fail) to get their bosses back on track. But Gabriel is too stubborn and Jagged is too determined.
And anytime any tabloid tries to say something bad about Marinette, all three powerhouses send that clamin into oblivion before utterly destroying said tabloid.
Finally, Marinette makes them all come to a compromise. She'll release her own stuff independently. She won't work under any of them if this is what happens, because she's too nice to choose. Jagged automatically jumps on the idea to help support her. Audrey follows because not only will it look good on her, but she wants to see what the teenager is capable of. Shocking, Gabriel is on the idea as well. He'll guide her in the right direction for designing because he admires her young talent and needs his brand to be redeemed.
Marinette's first collection is a success. Gabriel, Audrey, and Jagged all praise her with pride. Yes, Marinette is a force to be reckoned with.
