you know when you look at someone and you want to start a conversation but your mind just goes completely blank? sure, i could walk up to you and be all "so⦠how about that weather?" but that feels a bit shitty, doesn't it. there's also the classic "if you could bring three things to a deserted island, what would they be and why?" ⦠yeah, i'm going with that one. so .. three things? ( @prnlls )
i do like your unconventional approach; detailing your plan to the person you're about to talk to with the dreaded small talk question and then bam, following it with the island one to throw it slightly off the rails. solid b+. to answer your question, and i'm going with the idea that the deserted island gives off less horror "send help" vibes and more a peaceful escape where nothing bad happens, so i can say i'll bring my dog, milo, without feeling like a terrible mother. i also can't function without coffee in the morning, so all the caffeine i can fit in my suitcase, and a book, maybe. one that i've spent months saying 'i will start reading tomorrow' and then never do .. what about you β what are the three things you'd bring to a deserted island? intrigued to know if your answers are more survival based than my fantasy ones.
