what keeps you motivated to draw??? I’ve been drawing for years but very inconsistently and for the past 4-5 years I can never finish anything just rlly sloppy sketches,,, idk how you do it 💔

it’s an on and off again process, i’d be lying if i said there weren’t long periods where i only ever really did sloppy rough sketches. the main thing is just reminding yourself why you’re drawing whatever you’re drawing, and at the end of the day the answer that always motivates me most is if it’s for myself. if you want to do a finished piece, try and see it through. but if you just want to get a concept down on your canvas, focus on just doing that. not every time you pick up a pen needs to end with a masterpiece.

what albums would you recommend for anyone trying to get into shoegaze

it's tough to say, there's a ton of great shoegaze records out there. but i'd argue for these: Loveless by mybloodyvalentine Souvlaki by Slowdive Nowhere by Ride Spooky by Lush Mezcal Head by Swervedriver but there's all sorts of other classics that i love, LSD and the Search for God's self-titled EP, Chrome by Catherine Wheel, Whirlpool by Chapterhouse, Dance on the Blacktop by Nothing, Eureka by Kinokoteikoku, Robot World by Bailter Space, nightlife by yuragi, Psycho Candy by The Jesus and Mary Chain, Painful by Yo La Tengo, hades by my dead girlfriend, there's so many more too i just don't want to make this too intimidating of a list. that being said, if you're looking for your starters, go for the five i mentioned above.

Is there something specific with this kink that you like?

i've always loved the changes that come with gaining and comparing how the body is different with more weight. if i'm feeling really kinky there's a big enjoyment out of the corruption angle too.

i’m not really keeping any intentional distance! i’m trying to work on a few more pieces to have up in the near future—i just also don’t want to make any promises i can’t keep. if i say one thing and then life pulls me away and i don’t get it done when i said, i feel like im lying to my audience yknow?

going blank again or nowhere?

now this is the shit ive been waiting to answer.

so i think going blank again is probably my favorite between the two, but i feel like when im in the mood for shoegaze nowhere has a lot more of what i crave about the genre. going blank again has a lot more of a britpop, psychedelic rock vibe. id even go so far as to say it carries a bit more of a madchester influence—though i wouldn’t outright call it madchester akin to a group like the happy mondays. meanwhile nowhere has more of that wall of sound of heavy guitar distortion and dreamy vocals that i adore.

Do you have a favorite model you like to use for your art?

it kinda depends on the body type i’m going for? i’ve doodled a lot based on @housecow & @lilcowzia though. they’re very inspirational and also cool people! and it’s kinda fun to draw based on them.

Do you have a preferred music format? (streaming, digital library, CD, tapes, records, etc)

oh yeah i forgot to answer this one. i've streamed most of my music for a long while, but i actually recently started getting into vinyl finally and so far that's by far been my favorite way to listen to music.

How have you been lately? Asking cuz I havent seen you around much and wondered how you have been mentally lately or if you have just been busy with life

i’m tired, and life keeps me busy outside of all of this. but there’s a lot of people i miss interacting with consistently (you hopefully know who you are 😭) and i miss drawing more. but im okay overall! alive and breathing.
