NCT BLISS’ SONG IN THE RESONANCE PART 1 ALBUM

This is just a little moodboard I thought I’d add: it’s how I imagine their MV would look like? How this specific concept would be for Bliss!

Notes:

It’s one of their darkest songs they’ve done to date, and nctizens absolutely loved it.

They got a short MV for the song, much like what Dream got for Deja Vu. And it was iconic, all the girls shone...but especially Yunhee tbh, which made her fans ecstatic. Her acting skills just came in handy for this horror-type of concept.

The photo shoot for the MV also gave really memorable pics. Overall this concept is just so them, and it’s crazy how they went from such a cutesy style at debut to something so sensual and intense now.

Originally, SM planned for there to be a love interest in the video since the lyrics revolve around that. But they scrapped it, wanting the girls to stand out. The love interest was planned to be Doyoung actually kfjdjfjekedjd and the girls are still lowkey disappointed it didn’t happen.

NCT BLISS: 2020 YEARPARTY OUTFITS

Minji

Glossy brunette hair, long sensual dresses, and elegant heels. A very soft feminine look overall, which is totally her vibe.

Aria

Short embellished dresses and a pair of lace heels. This was the first time she ever cut her hair, and fans went crazy. She trended #1 on Twitter for a while.

Jiwoo

Had a very mature vibe to her, in both the wrap dress and the one with a slit. The leg accessory was pointed out by so many nctizens who loved it. An iconic look overall.

Yunhee

She’s always given super short dresses, so no one was surprised but still disappointed :/ Her long blonde waves almost made up for it though, she looked like a princess.

Kayo

Medium length ombre hair and a pair of classy heels, much like the kind she usually wears. Her light blue dress was the most plain and fans complained about it, but she liked that it was modest. And she made up for it with lovely makeup and accessories (cough crown cough)

Lian

Hasn’t had black hair in over a year, so she also trended because of this new style. Had her usual angelic vibe, but slightly more mature which surprised fans.

And for the vlive event, they were all matching in a royal blue skirt and blazer combo with different white blouses, and white boots.

Aria x NCT DREAM

Jisung wasn’t expecting to be woken up at 8am on his day off and dragged to get breakfast with Aria.

The cool morning air brushed against Aria’s face and she couldn’t help but laugh at the sight of Jisung tightening his hoodie for the third time.

“Ari~It’s way too cold and early,” He whined. “Can’t we just go back and sleep, then order food instead?”

“No, Jisung. We’re adults now. We can go get our own food instead of bothering those poor bakery people.”

“Speak for yourself,” He protested, his hood falling back a bit. A glimpse of his brightly-colored hair peeked through.

Aria rolled her eyes and quickened her pace to keep up with his longer and faster stride. “Well, I need to start adulting now.”

“Sounds like a you problem.”

She threw her hands up, instantly regretting it when a breeze flew through the way-too-wide sleeves of her top. “It’s not even that bad.”

Jisung eyed her, a crooked smile forming on his lips. “Ari, your lips are turning blue.”

She shoved her hands down. “If 8am is bad for you, how the hell do you survive during promotions?”

“First of all, you’re inhuman if you get up at this time every single day. Second, coffee and sheer willpower.”

“What are you, Jaemin.” She snickered, as they crossed the streets. She could finally make out the small bakery on the other side. It was her favorite place to get breakfast from. 

They walked in quiet for a couple minutes, admiring the lovely morning weather. People bustled by, trying to get to work and school. Blossoms fell from the trees and were carried by the small breezes. The sky was a light blue color with hues of gold from the risen sun.

“So...how’s life?” Aria asked, bumping her hip against his lightly. The sun had  blanketed her with warmth now, a stark contrast to the chill dewy air earlier, and she accepted it gratefully. 

Jisung shrugged, putting his arm on her shoulder as they suddenly got closer to a crowd of people on the streets. “It was going fine...until you barged into our dorm at 7:53am and told me to get dressed.”

Aria burst into laughter. “You’re so overdramatic, oh my god.”

“I’m just kidding,” Jisung said quickly, smiling. “But yeah, wasn’t expecting this.”

“Yeah, me neither to be honest,” She admitted. “I just woke up and was craving pastries and wanted to share with you guys. And I wanted to bring you along.” 

At his puzzled look, Aria continued. “I feel like I’m kind of a cold noona to you and Chenle sometimes. I want to show you I can be nice too...”

Like Minji went unspoken.

Jisung was quiet for a few moments, before his jacket-clad shoulders started shaking slightly. He couldn’t stifle it anymore as he burst into quiet laughter.

“Yah! What’s so funny?” Aria demanded, lightly hitting his arm. “I’m trying to be soft for once!”

“Sorry, sorry,” He wheezed. “But I just wasn’t imagining this kind of morning at all. I thought you just did this randomly, but now you’re opening up and making it emotional.”

“You know what? ...I don’t blame you, honestly. That’s a reasonable assumption.”

Jisung wrapped an arm around her. “Ari, you’re fine just like this. I don’t think you’re mean or cold. If you acted any differently, it’d be weird. This is just how you are, and we love it.”

Aria smiled and reached up to ruffle his hair. “Aww, thanks, kid.”

“And...” He added. “You and Minji-noona are two different people. So you shouldn’t really compare yourself when you’re both special.”

Her gaze widened slightly. “How-”

Jisung rolled his eyes. “I know you too well, Ari.” He chuckled at the pout on her face.

“Looks like we’re here.” There was a small line outside of the bakery and they quickly took their places. 

Aria pulled out her phone, opening up the text that Jeno sent her. “So we’re getting 15 bagels, a couple bags of donuts, cheesecake, creme pastry for Minji, some of the Danish ones for Jeno and Chenle...one of those fancy muffins for Lian...”

“Wait how are we gonna carry all of that? That’s so much food!” Jisung questioned.

Aria looked up at him with smirk. “Well, that’s another reason I brought you...” She trailed off innocently.

He groaned. “Noona...”

“Hey, think of it as a workout, Jisung. You’ll be thanking me later.”

Just after a collab dance performance between the two units, Jiwoo passes out backstage. Haechan isn’t too happy about his best friend’s irresponsibility.

We’re off to an angsty start hahaha.

“Where’s the pin for this outfit?!”

“Can we go over the choreo one more time please?”

“Hell no Yunhee. You better be kidding.”

“Should we test our mics again?”

A groan. “Do I really have to pick up Kayo and spin her?”

“Yes. Yes Jisung, you do.”

A hundred thousand words of chaos swirled around Jiwoo’s mind as she leaned over the vanity, looking into the mirror. Her members, both the girls and boys, were scattered around the room, doing last-minute preparations.

She smoothed down her already-straightened hair and fixed her gaze on her reflection. There wasn’t a single flaw in her makeup. Her outfit was pretty modest by idol-standards, and still very pretty. Her feet adorned boots as opposed to heels. Everything was as perfect as it could be.

So why did she feel so shitty?

Her stomach felt light yet heavy at the same time, like a pit was buried deep inside it. Her entire body felt like it could crumble any second, at any touch or movement. Her head was killing her, it hurt so much.

It’s probably just last-minute anxiety, Jiwoo assured herself. 

She forced herself to straighten up, absentmindedly adjusting her left earpiece once more. Then she whirled around, ignoring the pounding sensation at her temple as best as she could.

“Are you guys ready?” She asked, unsure if it was even her own voice she was hearing.

“Yes,” Kayo and Chenle chorused before shooting each other glares. “Stop copying me,” they repeated together again before yelling at each other.

Jiwoo focused her attention on the member closest to her. “How long again?”

“We’re going on in two minutes,” Jeno told her, pausing before frowning slightly. “You okay?”

Jiwoo laughed lightly. “Yeah, I’m fine. Just nervous for some reason.”

“You’re shaking a little...” 

“I promise I’m fine, Jeno. I’m just not used to having only choreography to memorize.”

“If you say so.” He sounded unconvinced, and Jiwoo couldn’t blame him. She could faintly hear the tremor in her own voice.

“One more minute!” The manager called, and the group made their way closer to the stage. 

Jiwoo felt her head spin under the bright lights and constant noise of bustling activity. She held onto Lian who was walking in front of her, gently keeping a hand on her shoulders. Partly for physical support, partly so she could talk to her in a closer distance.

“You remember everything?” Jiwoo whispered.

“Yeah,” Lian answered, probably rolling her eyes. “Do you?”

“I remember. But if I die halfway, don’t be surprised. I feel like shit.”

Lian turned to face her, worry reflected in her watery eyes. “What’s wrong?” 

“Head is killing me. I just feel awful.”

“Why didn’t you say anything earlier?!” She whisper-yelled. “You shouldn’t be on stage right now.”

“I’ll be fine. It’s just a 3 minute choreography. As soon as we’re done, I’ll probably just crash on the couch in the dressing room. I didn’t want us to re-plan the whole thing.”

“Okay...” Lian still sounded worried. 

Finally, it was time. Jiwoo pushed herself up and let go of Lian to make her way across stage. It was dark and the lights were only going to come on once they were all in position. She felt a comforting squeeze of her shoulder as Jaemin walked past her, and she flashed him a small smile.

Showtime, Jiwoo thought, leaning down to crouch in her beginning position. She replayed the choreography in her mind a couple times, just to get her attention off the dull thud in her head. 

She raised her head as soon as the lights flashed, giving an alluring smile to the camera.

Five minutes later, both units were walking backstage again, everyone feeling half-thrilled and half-tired.

“Did you guys hear those fanchants?” Minji exclaimed, detaching her earpiece. “That was crazy!”

“Right?” Renjun laughed. 

Aria smirked. “Okay, but did anyone notice how loud it got when Jisung had to pick up Kayo?” 

Jeno and Chenle burst out laughing while the two mentioned just looked away in embarrassment. “I did notice!” Yunhee cackled. “I was trying so hard not to laugh in the middle of dancing.”

“Oh, I didn’t even hide my laughing,” Donghyuck chimed in. “I’m pretty sure the cameras saw me.”

“Ugh, you guys are the worst,” Jisung groaned. 

Kayo rolled her eyes. “Literally neither of us wanted it. But someone just had to bring up the idea to the choreographer.” 

She narrowed her gaze at Minji, who just smiled innocently. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

They all talked some more and laughed, able to relax now that all their performances for the day were done.

Jiwoo was the only quiet one, walking slowly compared to the others. Her legs felt like they were tied down by an anchor. Her stomach turned and felt even worse than before. She lagged behind the group, the only destination on her mind being a couch or just anywhere to lie down. 

She could make out Lian’s face turning around to ask her something. Jiwoo opened her mouth to respond, but no words came out. Instead her mind felt cloudy and she couldn’t think of anything. Dark spots filled her vision and she shut her eyes before falling down onto her knees.

“Jiwoo!”

“Yah, what the hell!”

“What happened?”

“Jiwoo what’s wrong?!”

“Can someone get a water bottle?”

A pair of hands gently laid her down, so her head was resting on someone’s lap instead. Someone else adjusted the position of her legs.

Jiwoo’s vision was still dark but she could hear everyone around her. The sounds of voices and footsteps felt drowned out, as if she was underwater, or in a tunnel.

A voice that sounded like Jaemin’s spoke. “Does anyone know what’s wrong? Jiwoo never mentioned she was sick.” He sounded really upset.

A soft tone replied. “She told me she wasn’t feeling well just when we were walking on stage.” Jiwoo recognized it as Lian’s, and she sounded on the verge of crying now.

“I could tell something was off earlier too, but she told me she was just nervous,” Jeno added, distress evident in his words.

“Dammit, Jiwoo.” That was definitely Aria.

Jiwoo’s eyes fluttered open after a few more seconds, her head still hurting. Her vision was mostly clear, just blurry around the edges as she blinked up at her members.

The first thing she saw was Minji’s face. So that was whose lap she was laying on. The second was Jaemin, leaning over closely. And the third was Donghyuck...

Who looked both extremely terrified and angry at the same time. Jiwoo internally swallowed at the scolding he would surely give her once she was fully conscious.

“Jiwoo! Can you hear us?” Minji asked, gently pushing a hair strand out of her face.

“Yeah,” Jiwoo replied softly, her voice barely above a whisper. She had a naturally raspy tone, but it seemed almost intensified now.

“How many fingers am I holding up?” Jeno asked.

“Six.”

Renjun rolled his eyes. “She fainted, it’s not a concussion.”

“It doesn’t hurt to check!”

“Here,” Chenle popped up in her vision, holding a water bottle. “Drink some of this.”

Jiwoo sat up a bit, lifting her head from Minji’s lap to instead sit in front of the older girl. She took the bottle with a small smile before lifting it to her lips. Jaemin helped her steady her grip by placing his hand on top of hers.

The cool water felt extremely refreshing as it flowed down her throat. It cooled her instantly, and alleviated some of the pain in her head. Her vision cleared completely at this point too.

“Are you feeling better?” Jisung asked tentatively, hovering like he was ready to spring up and get something for her at any moment.

Jiwoo smiled at him. “Yes, I am now.”

“Good,” Kayo said sweetly, before she glared sharply at Jiwoo. “Now I can say this: what is wrong with you?!”

“The whole day went by and you didn’t say anything until we literally stepped on the stage, and only to Lian!” Renjun snapped.

“Okay, before we get into any of that, let’s figure out what’s actually wrong with her,” Jeno sighed. “Are you sick? Burning up?”

Chenle placed his palm on her forehead. “No, she feels fine.”

“Did you not eat anything all day?” There was an odd note to Jaemin’s voice, as if he was seriously not wanting to hear an answer to that.

“I mean, I ate no differently than I do on our usual performance days.”

“So barely anything, then.” Yunhee sighed.

“Guys, I don’t think it was food,” Jiwoo assured them. “I think I just had a really bad headache, and all the stuff I did today didn’t help it at all.”

“Oh yeah, that makes sense. I’m sure a five-hour long rehearsal, both in the studio and on stage before, totally helped you feel better,” Aria said dryly.

“I’m sorry guys.” Jiwoo curled up a bit more with a frown. “I’m so used to shrugging off stuff just to get work done, and I didn’t want to mess up our schedule in anyway.”

Lian poked her. “You’re forgiven. Just don’t do it ever again,” She sniffed.

Jeno let out a deep breath. “You almost gave us all heart attacks.”

“I’m sorry.”

Chenle stretched. “Well, now that Jiwoo is taken care of, let’s go eat.” He shot Jiwoo a look. “And you have to eat at least two plates.”

“I can’t eat that much!”

“Too bad.”

They all stood up, and Jiwoo lifted herself away from Minji with ease. Well, for two seconds before her legs felt shaky again. Almost instantly, a hand wrapped around her waist and she looked up to see Donghyuck.

He tightened his hold and pulled her close to his side. “Yah, you can’t just get up and walk like nothing happened after all that, you idiot,” He scolded.

Jiwoo blinked as her head hit against his chest gently. “Thanks, Hyuck.”

They lingered behind the group as Jiwoo walked slower than usual, so she didn’t feel dizzy again, and Donghyuck supported her weight. 

“That was so stupid,” He spoke, his gaze fixed frontwards so she couldn’t see his face. 

Jiwoo winced at the edge in his tone. “I know, I’m sorry I freaked you out-”

“No, Jiwoo. You should be sorry for putting yourself at risk like that,” He snapped. “You never take care of yourself.”

“Work is more important,” she argued quietly. “We’ve been planning and practicing this for weeks, no way was I gonna ruin it.”

“It’s not just about that,” He sighed, the sharpness in his tone subsiding. “You’ve always done this, even as a trainee. You put everyone and everything above yourself, and it scares me.”

Jiwoo’s eyes widened slightly before she looked down, memories of trying to support her very hectic and poor household in New York resurfacing in her mind. “I know...it’s a really bad habit that I’m used to.”

Donghyuck stopped and ruffled her hair, facing her with a more calm expression. “Just please promise me you won’t do this again.”

“I promise I’ll try my best.”

“Hurry up, you two!” Kayo yelled from the area where the table of food was. “Or Yunhee is gonna eat all the dumplings!”

Jiwoo and Donghyuck exchanged a fond look before hobbling towards everyone. “Okay, okay! Save us some!”

Just before their debut in 2017, BLISS is moving into a new dorm with help from the oldest members.

(Also note: I changed Dasom’s name to Kayo because I wanted her to have a Japanese name)

“Woah~! Look at this place!” Yunhee squealed, holding out her phone’s camera above her as she twirled. “It’s amazing!”

“Yah, put that away and help,” Doyoung scolded lightly with a laugh. “You can vlog later.”

“Right, right, sorry, Oppa,” She giggled, pocketing her phone. She moved to join him behind the kitchen counter where he was organizing dishes, cutlery, and other things that belonged there. “I’m just so excited!”

“Same!” Minji chimed in, entering with a medium-sized duffle in her arms. “I just still can’t believe we’re debuting soon.”

Johnny followed her, carrying a rather large box. “Is that easier to believe than the fact that you’re joining a boy group?” He joked.

The girls laughed. “Honestly yeah.”

Aria came in, yawning as she stretched her arms. “I’m just happy that we’re not in that tiny ass dorm anymore,” She admitted.

“Sharing a room with so many people,” Minji sighed.

“Fighting for the bathroom with 10 girls everyday,” Yunhee added.

Doyoung laughed, reaching around Yunhee to place a pile of plates into the top cupboard. “Well, now you just have to fight amongst each other.”

“We’ll brawl every morning,” Aria laughed, jokingly pointing her fingers in a “I see you” way at Yunhee, who squinted.

“Oh, where does this go?” Minji interjected, gesturing at a lone box that sat in the far right corner of the room.

“Uh, I think that’s Jiwoo’s,” Johnny replied.

“Jiwoo!” 

Two seconds later, their rapper appeared in the most dramatic look she could have. She was wearing protective gloves, a mask, and a headband over her dark hair. An apron was tied over the front of her outfit.

Jiwoo tugged her mask down. “What’s up?”

The group just stared at her before Aria and Johnny burst into laughter. Then the rest of them joined. “What?” She repeated, chuckling a bit too.

“You’re ridiculous,” Minji giggled. “You do know this is an apartment we’re cleaning, not a warehouse?”

Jiwoo rolled her eyes as their laughter increased even more, Yunhee even doubling over. “I’m just taking safety precautions.”

“Well, you’re the only one...so I think it’s just a you problem,” Johnny snickered.

Just as the words left his mouth, Taeyong came in holding a broom and dressed in attire identical to what Jiwoo was wearing.

“Nevermind,” Johnny muttered, as the girls and Doyoung tried to hold in their laughter.

Taeyong removed his gloves and moved to the sink to wash his hands. “The rooms are all dusted and wiped clean, so we can start bringing stuff in.”

“Yay! Thanks, Oppa!” The girls chorused.

“And Jiwoo,” He added with a laugh.

“Thanks, Jaycee~” They sang teasingly.

Jiwoo groaned, peeling off her own gloves and protective attire before washing her hands. “I hate you three. Where are my sweet, adorable children?”

“They went out with Yuta to get some “important stuff,” Johnny replied. “Probably just some small furniture or something.”

“Honestly, this place came pretty equipped even before we brought stuff in...” Minji trailed off, looking around. “I don’t think we need much more.”

“There’s even a toaster, blender, and rice cooker already,” Yunhee added. “We just need to get groceries.”

“Once again, shout-out to your parents, Ari,” Jiwoo said, plopping down into a seat between her and Johnny on the couch. “That was so sweet of them to get all these appliances and furniture.”

“Yeah, seriously, that was awesome.”

“I hope our thank-you letters were good enough.”

Aria tossed a pillow at Minji. “Of course they were! And really, it’s the least my family could do. They wanted to outright buy us an apartment actually.” She laughed.

“Aww...”

“I’m actually a little jealous,” Doyoung joked. “This dorm is so much nicer than ours.”

“Yah, that’s because we’re girls and need more space,” Jiwoo retorted playfully.

“You guys can live anywhere and make it work,” Aria chimed in. “We need luxury.”

The others burst out laughing while Johnny put an offended hand to his chest. “Wow, what are you trying to say?” He faked sounding hurt.

“I mean...they’re not wrong,” Taeyong laughed, putting both arms around the two girls who smiled. “Excluding me, of course.”

“Oh definitely,” Jiwoo and Aria agreed. “Only Taeyong-oppa is closer to our level.”

“Wow...” Johnny and Doyoung shook their heads in simultaneous disappointment.

The group talked together and finished setting up the kitchen before their other members finally returned.

“We’re home!” Yuta’s voice boomed through the apartment from the front, where they were taking off their shoes.

“This isn’t your home!” Taeyong called back. “And where have you three been?”

 As usual, Kayo was the first to approach everyone, quick on her feet. She held out a box of donuts as well as bag filled with other snacks. “We brought back food!” 

“What kind?” Yunhee questioned. 

“Chicken and tteokbokki?”

She extended a hand. “Give to us.”

She handed it over to them without hesitation, giggling at the way her unnie’s faces lit up at the sight of the bag’s contents.

Their young maknae was the next one to pop in, giving a hug to Taeyong as she greeted everyone shyly, a hat covering her face slightly. “Ah, we’re a bit late because we got lost.”

“Lost..?”

“Yeah, we-”

Yuta then came in, holding what looked like three yoga mats, an ice cream maker, and two other bags. “Wow, the place looks great!” He commented.

“Yeah, no thanks to you,” Doyoung chided in his usual dryly-dramatic manner. He stood up, gesturing at him. “Of course you took them out for fun while we did hard work!”

Bliss tried to hold in their laughter, but once again, could not. An angry Doyoung was really entertaining.

“What did you even get?” Minji asked, peering at the two bags. “Are those...pudding cups?”

“Are you kidding me-”

“It was Kayo’s idea!” Yuta tried to defend himself, putting them down. “I can’t say no to her!”

“Don’t blame me,” Kayo said casually, grabbing a pudding cup.

“No, it’s time to eat.” Taeyong gently took it out of her hands, laughing a little at the pout she gave him. 

“Wait, how did you guys get lost again?” Aria asked.

“We took a wrong turn...eight different times.”

“Wha-”

“Listen, all three of us are foreigners!” Kayo exclaimed. “We don’t know anything!”

Johnny ruffled her hair. “Kayo, baby, you can’t pull the foreigner card when you’ve lived and trained here for 3 years.”

She pouted and just leaned her head into the side of his jacket.

“Can we eat now?” Jiwoo begged. “That chicken smells so good.”

“I agree!” 

“No, Yuta, you three can eat last,” Doyoung said.

“Why?!”

“For going on a get-away trip instead of cleaning the apartment?” Minji guessed with a laugh.

“Yah, this is unfair treatment,” Kayo complained.

“Lian can get food first, though,” Aria declared.

“What? Why her?!”

“Because she’s the baby and she’s sweet, you menace.”

Lian laughed, watching all her members playfully argue. Kayo was trying to tackle Aria, who was cackling as Yuta held her back, Jiwoo was recording everything while Yunhee took selfies with Johnny and Doyoung was yelling...

“Hey.” A hand gently rested on her head, and she looked up to see Taeyong smiling at her. “What are you thinking?”

She leaned against him, pausing to get a grasp on the Korean words she needed. “I think...this all feels just like home. A new... loud and crazy one. But a home regardless. And I’m happy.”

He beamed. “I’m so glad.”

BLISS AND NCT DREAM RELATIONSHIPS

(Sorry no Mark but he’ll be included in the 127 version)

These two sub-units are so close, they’re basically intertwined. They act like a huge squad of friends and siblings whenever they’re together, and the chaos is dialed up 20 notches. But there’s a lot of love and they adore each other underneath all the teasing and bickering sometimes. They basically live at each other’s dorms and visit randomly, unprompted. At idol events like award shows, ISAC, etc, they just cling to each other, too shy to talk to others most of the time. They support each other so much, and always hype each other up during promotion times.

Minji: It’s a joke for everyone, even the fandom, that she belongs in Dream even more than she does in Bliss. She just has such strong natural chemistry with every member, ever since their long trainee years together, and being schoolmates. She’s such a Mom Friend in general, and can be especially so when it comes to Dream. They live to tease her but they adore her a lot. She’s super tight with the 2000 line of course. She and Jaemin are affectionate besties, she gets dragged into Renjun’s conspiracy theory chaos, she adores Jeno a ton, and she and Haechan are basically like siblings. Aria: No one noticed this until they were all on a variety show and the host mentioned it, but Aria literally speaks to Dream as if she’s their mafia boss. There’s just a maturity to her, as well as her naturally dominant nature that draws everyone to view her as a “leader.” But she’s super laidback at the same time around Dream, like 99% of the time, she’s just a bro to all of them. She’s the one who comes up with chaotic ideas the most, and Dream rarely hesitates to implement them. She loves messing around with Renjun, and both of them are really blunt, so they’re savage towards each other. Jeno is her favorite victim to drag into chaos, or on a random smoothie trip at 5am. Haechan is like her second-in-command when causing chaos, and they connect really well, being moodmakers. She doesn’t baby anyone, and more is like a wine aunt to ChenJi lmao. She loves to pull Chenle into hugs and call him her fellow “rich kid” or some other obnoxious nickname. She ruffles Jisung’s hair and teases him, but not before giving him some snacks she bought just for him UwU.

Jiwoo: Ohhhhh rather than being an agent of chaos besides them, she’s more likely to get dragged into it and just rolling her eyes the whole time. But she really does always have a great time with Dream, they’re like her best friends. She gets into fun rap competitions with Jeno and Jaemin all the time, and she definitely gives them some tips at the same time. Whenever Jiwoo is recording for a song, the boys love to hype her up all obnoxiously but cutely right outside the door. Cue more fond eye-rolls. She hypes them up just as much honestly. On her solo vlives, she’ll talk about Renjun’s radio show, tell her fans to listen to Ridin, etc. Jiwoo’s bond with the boys is definitely more of a friendship and family type, and none of them really baby her unless they’re trying to annoy her. She loves hanging out with Chenle so much, and she’s always encouraging him to do the dolphin laughs more just to drive everyone crazy. Haechan is one of her closest and most important bonds in NCT overall: they’re besties. But I won’t say too much about this, because their dynamic is very...complicated.

Yunhee: In contrast to the rest of the unnie line, Yunhee is viewed as more of a “little sister” figure to the 2000-liners. Like she’s on the brink between sister and best friend to them. With some members (usually the more chaotic ones) she looks like the more mature, quietly quirky type. Then with certain members (the less chaotic ones) her eccentrics pop out. Yunhee has a lot of playful and affectionate, sometimes jokingly flirty, chemistry with all the boys and they do love her tons. She’s the only one allowed to tease Renjun’s height since she’s just as tall as him, and will only bring it up when he’s annoying her. She jumps onto Jeno and Jaemin for piggyback rides, and in general, likes bothering them for attention at random times. Also totally joins their work-outs but gives up halfway through. Haechan...can either entertain her a lot, or wear her down super quickly. Usually the latter tbh. She’s bros with Chenle and they love doing vlives together. And of course, since she’s close in age with Jisung, she lets him speak to her informally and they get along super well. She usually defers to him if she ever needs help with dance moves...which is more often than she’d like.

Kayo: She’s the scary, slightly vicious but tiny savage little sister to Dream. Most of her interactions with the Hyung line are like Megan and the boys in Drake and Josh. She just likes to mess with them a lot. Sadly, they’re only terrified of her for a second then go back to finding her adorable. Kayo is the type of person who shows her love through actions. So she’ll do little things, like buying them snacks, getting new film for Jaemin’s camera, cleaning Renjun’s paint brushes, etc. Or even bigger things, like learning their choreography and promoting their song in her own vlives. Dream definitely knows this and they appreciate it. The older members dote on her more, but her besties are Chenle and Jisung. She’s the third person to make up their little rag-tag friendship. All three of them are super chaotic together, but they always have fun. She’ll always claim they drag her into their antics, but she loves it. Even though she’s technically the same age as Jisung, there’s almost a year between them. So he makes her call him oppa just to be annoying.

Lian: Is the baby to all of NCT, so Dream is no exception lol. She loves hanging out with them, and over the years, has gotten more comfortable with each member. She always makes them laugh with her antics and cute, quirky sense of humor. Sadly for them, Dream is also her favorite victims to play pranks on often (second is WayV of course). She’s used the fake-cockroach on Jisung about 5 times, and he still falls for it. They can never stay annoyed at her though. She and Renjun are really really close, and they’ve been so ever since trainee days. They bond over art, painting, singing, anything. She’ll never tell anyone outside of Bliss, but she has a slight crush on him. She likes to cling onto him without even thinking, and often sings “Renjunnie” or calls him by that. And they bond over a lot of shared experiences. And Jisung likes to teach her dance moves, while she teaches him Chinese and songwriting tips.

NCT BLISS: DETAILS

They debut a little over a year after Dream. Edit: I changed my mind about Lian. It was OT6 from the start because that makes more sense now. Bliss debuted all together in 2017.

Bliss is marketed as being very connected to Dream, and SM has said that both sub-units are meant to reflect each other. Very similar to Shinee and f(x)‘s relationship.

Aria promoted BOSS with NCT U in 2018, which boosted their popularity and influence heavily. She’s the face of the group mainly for this. I imagine she had some of Doyoung’s vocal lines? Anyways yeah…she really shone in this concept, especially since the song blew up. One of her fancams was super popular too, and overall her western-appealing visuals got her more attention.

Jiwoo was apart of the NCT U Kick & Ride stage. She was also apart of the recent NCT 2020 song “Misfit”

Lian and Jiwoo, and to a lesser extent Aria, usually have writing credits in each album they produce. Usually b-sides but in recent comebacks, they’ve contributed to the title tracks.

Minji got a good amount of center time in Black on Black, being one of the top dancers in NCT. She really shone in the performance and her fancam had a ton of views.

BLISS lives in an apartment building right near the other sub-unit’s dorms. Since it’s so close by the rest of NCT, they visit there a lot and vice versa.

Bliss has a rather different concept than what people usually expect from NCT. They try a lot of things, and have varied from fantasy-theme to horror-theme to more girly concepts.

Well when they debuted at first…they had a very bright, girly sound. They were just as youthful as Dream was. And over time, they’ve grown to have their own distinct sound: a dreamy, sensual vibe.

They have sadly yet to release a song with another sub-unit, despite so many requests from fans. But Bliss and Dream have done a few dance stages together, especially in the Empathy era. And the girls are all split up in different songs in the upcoming Resonance era.
