💥 watching the other go for his room, the tortoise followed after a moment, raising a brow as e spoke up again, actual laughter leaving him after a moment as he realized that there was no point in telling him that he didn’t know much. amazing.

💥 a low growl escaped the giant tortoise in frustration. “  'n you listened to me WHY again ??   “ he muttered, giving the other a look with a narrowed look, waiting for a legitmate answer before tilting his head in surprise. huh. that was a surprising response.

💥 “  i can deal with some foot soldiers, raph. i’m bigger than you ‘n your brothers are AND i have a damn mace. i’m fine.  “ he snapped, eyes narrowing yet a SMIRK hinted on his beak.

“    but if you really want me ‘ta eat you .. i CAN. don’t gotta argue ‘bout stupid shit to ask me that.   “  he chortled.

💥 he watched her for a moment, green eyes squinting at the stern look, which he deserved since the last thing she probably knew about him was what he DID to her own children. it wasn’t the best thing he’s done in his life. which was mostly nothing. since he’d been a normal ( but fighting ) tortoise before this.

More old art! This is from around the time Slash and Destroy came out. Slash has to be my favorite mutant besides the turtles.

like if you think about it ; slash && destroy was kinda interesting in how slash went about taking down raphael’s brothers.

like donnie wasn’t hurt that much ; like sure his arm was broken && was beaten up a little bit but .. he was relatively fine compared to when slash went after michelangelo && leonardo. like, he had time to do whatever he wanted with donnie in the time it took for anyone else to get to slash.

almost immediately mikey was almost killed by those hits across the rooftop && slash pretty nearly beat leonardo to a pulp. in saying that, i think slash only really went after the people raphael was close too or the ones that made raph the most angry or annoyed.

regardless, he still isn’t to chill with the two of them but he’ll be civil.

SPECIES HC + OTHER STUFF 

the species slash is is kinda weird since if you look at 2012 spike originally, as @themostattitude && i have come to is a hermann’s tortoise which looks a little like an alligator snapping turtle when he actually mutates in season two --- with the confusion, 2k12 slash alone is a mutated hermann’s tortoise.

also side note: before raphael found the tortoise he was someone’s legitimate ‘ pet ‘ ; however was a fighting tortoise until he was thought useless by his owner ( && due to the fact he was going to live for like, 100 years --- since that’s the life span of hermann’s tortoises’ ) && thrown down into the sewer ; where raphael found him. 

with idw though he’s exclusively is a alligator snapping turtle since, yeah he looked like it before he was fully mutated.

He’s glaring, now, lower lip poking out in his signature pout, but if anything, he seems almost bothered by Slash’s comment. Raph turns away, moving to his punching dummy and starting to wail on it. After a second, he’s back to normal – but he keeps punching.

“What’ve you been up to, anyways? Haven’t heard from you in a while.”

💥 slash narrowed his eyes, trying to figure what could have bothered him so much, considering his comment. why it bothered him. his claws twitched as he watched the other, shifting some away from raphael as he wailed into the dummy.

good one slash ; you upset him. what a good job. “   mutanimals stuff ; leatherhead barely near us && bothering mikey i guess. nothing much .. i had ta get the heck outta there since mondo is just exhausting. seems like things’ve been kinda weird for you guys. all things considered ...   “ he muttered, rubbing the back of his neck.
