JK Rowling only said Dumbledore was gay because there weren’t any risks, the books were finished. Now she’s decided they aren’t, there are risks again and she’s chosen the same spineless path she’s used to. She is no LGBTQ ally.

Also, JK Rowling is the *WRITER* of these movies (she wrote the screenplay, unlike the Harry Potter series). If she'd wanted the film to explicitly state his sexuality, she could've, you know, written it.

Help Squirtle Fight Cancer

It’s really hard for me to ask for help, and I doubt anyone will see this post anyway, but I’m just gonna put it out here.

My cat Squirtle has cancer. He has a mass inside his stomach preventing him from eating as much as he should be. The vet doesn’t want to open his abdomen, and wants and endoscopic biopsy instead (tube w/ camera scope and little pincers through the mouth and into the stomach).

We need help raising funds to diagnose the TYPE of cancer so we can move forward with treatment. He may be 11, but the rest of his body is functioning fine (for now), and he has a great attitude as always. In the link you’ll see all the estimates I’ve gotten from specialist vets, and all the funds/grants we’ve been denied for.

I know I’ve done nothing to deserve your kind help. I know I’m not an interesting blog to follow. I may not even be a nice person. But my Squirtle is a good boy. He deserves to survive this, or at least find out what it is and be treated. One of my uncles was found dead this morning and I really don’t think we can handle losing Squirtle, too.  Please help us. I still struggle with the concept of resting.

Pre-illness days, time off work would mean sorting out life admin, watching movies and TV shows, playing video games, and going out.

Nowadays, I barely even switch the TV on. Resting has become lying down, napping and sometimes scrolling through my phone.

And I know that's how it has to be. I have to let my body recover. Which means not concentrating on films or games, or getting out of the house.

It's just still hard to see recovery as rest.
