Status

My current scanner refuses to cooperate or work, so I’m afraid that I can’t upload any sketches at the moment. I’ll probably try to make drawings on my tablet and see how that goes, but I am majorly out of practice. 

I don’t think that I’ve really drawn anything that nice in months, nor have I done anything that big. Lots of my projects are on hold or are shelved. I’m also considering moving blogs, but I may just change my url,

Featuring: My cat, The Deku Princess, Minh, some unintelligible mess of scrawls that should have been Snake Plissken sitting on a stone chair surrounded by various snakes, Kars, and this unnamed OC.

Some OCs.

The girl with the short hair is named Minh Plissken. I’m not sure what to call the woman with the large pendant, but I think I can develop something pretty solid with her as time goes on.

Minh, whom was the subject of a breakthrough portrait. I have better ways of drawing a face quickly, and it looks like I’ve improved a bit.

As for Minh’s design, I’m not that happy with her hair. I’ll try making it more wild next time~.

Sketches that I got together while I was at and on the train home from @namasteehee ‘s house. 

This sweet thing’s name is Minh. Her father is a famous one-eyed outlaw and her mom is a (hopefully retired by then) killer for hire.

Hanako “Honey” Nishihara. A character that belongs to a dear, dear friend.

You guys might remember this sketch, where I first draw a more serious image of her. That was before I learned that Honey has longer hair. I do prefer the cuter face that I gave her in the previous drawing, but that would be an easy fix.

 I sort of like this design, too, since the story that she’s being written in is a pretty fucked-up grimdark plot. Honey is cute, but fits in with the world. She’s a huge masochist (which makes her all the more enticing to my character, Sadie), and if her friends are bullying someone else, she won’t hesitate to jump in on the action.

Sketches I threw together while at a gas station. Pretty dissatisfied with it, but I’m glad to have drawn some guro. 

I also got my damn shippy self to draw some Snakuchi in the first thumbnail. I really should expand on it and do more because my shippy feels are good fuel for making some more serious pictures. I just love these two so much, dammit.

Dead Hand has to be one of my favorite mini-bosses from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I’ll never forget how creeped out I was when I first encountered this monstrous, fleshy revenant. These are some pre-sketches for a bigger piece that I want to make. The noh mask is there because I’m compulsive it will resurface in an unrelated design. It merely got in the way.

First few sketches of Cobra Plissken, which was Snake’s name in the Korean dub of Escape from New York. It makes more sense than what he was called in the Italian dub: Hyena (Jena).  After learning about these dub changes, I wanted to make them separate entities (greendecked did an amazing sketch page of Hyena, over here!). Where Hyena is very wild, Cobra is composed, cold, and has darkened eyes. His hair is slicked back. So far, he looks more like a higher-up operative than his counterparts, but he’s as much of an outlaw as they are.

They’re just chibis for now, since I do those first to get design ideas out easily.

Mitsuko Souma and Honey, a friend’s OC. It’s enjoyable to draw in this style, and I’ll continue to build on it along with the style that you all usually see me draw with.
