the necromancer barbarian homebrew is here death might be inevitable, but that doesn't make it permanent by any stretch of the imagination [she/they, 21, bi/some flavor of ace] my cover art was drawn by the lovely @probablybard i love it and i love them
You touch the remains of something that has been dead for at most two weeks. Whatever remains of that creature’s form will be reanimated and will blindly obey your commands. Any missing limbs or body parts will be replaced by mycelium, which can be severed by the equivalent of 1 HP worth of damage. After the spell ends, the mushrooms consume the final remains of the creature, leaving a mulch that cannot be resurrected through anything short of a Wish spell.
Hello, thank you for taking my survey! I want to analyse racism in Tabletop RPGs for my Bachelor thesis. The results are anonymous, naturally, and nobody but me will have access to the resulting raw data. I will save the data for the purpose of finishing my thesis.
Hey friends!
I am writing my Bachelor thesis soon, and I have decided to write about racism in tabletop games. If you could take a few minutes to take my survey real quick and help a gal out, I’d be very happy and appreciative!
I need as much data as possible before January 16th, so please help and spread this around! Thank you!
Reblog if you are open to answering questions and giving advice for Dungeons & Dragons or other table top games.
Feel free to put in the tags how best to contact you and maybe what games or editions you know best.
Edit: since some were a little confused, I wanted to clarify that I am not looking for advice. I’m just trying to make it known to those new to the hobby that myself and many many other people are willing to help.
You touch a creature, and that creature must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or become cursed for the duration of the spell. The cursed creature immediately suffers one level of exhaustion, which can not be removed while the target remains cursed. All other creatures related to the target and any of the target’s allies must make a Constitution saving throw at the end of each long rest spent on the same plane as the target. On a failed save, a creature suffers one level of exhaustion, and any previous levels of exhaustion are not removed after finishing a long rest.

🚫 THIS BLOG IS TAKING PART IN THE ANTI-CENSORSHIP PROTEST ON DECEMBER 17th 🚫
The owner of this Blog will be making as much noise at Tumblr Staff about how horrible this ban in on other sites such as Twitter or Facebook.
The owner of this blog will be logging out of all accounts for the entirety of the 17th. Will Not run a queue. Will not even check the dash. Or give the money hungry executives a single page view to squeeze ad revenue out of
The owner of this blog believes in an ACTUAL positive, better, safer Tumblr and well be doing their part to fight for it by logging out on the 17th of December.
no one asked, but i do plan to stay on tumblr in this same state of aberrant activity after the 17th. i haven’t really done anything that would be flagged by the tumblr bots (i think) and other sites require such different mindsets that this sort of thing couldn’t really exist anywhere besides tumblr.
that being said, this is my twitter where i post art and retweet random funny things and this is my instagram for my artwork. i’ve been considering starting to use youtube as a medium for auditory journaling but we’ll see
glad to be of service. i truly need to update this blog, though, because i haven’t touched it in quite a while. maybe i’ll homebrew a playable undead class? we’ll see
the biggest lie, i think, the internet perpetuates about D&D is that a skinny little twink of a bard just needs to roll a nat 20 to seduce a dragon
like a dragon…a creature with more wealth and power than any other creature on the planet…a creature who is easily an 11/10 when they deign to take humanoid form…would look at your skinny little 8 STR half-elf Bard whose own father doesn’t even love them and go…yeah I’d like to fuck that
Dragons fuck, clearly, but not just any joe blow schmoe with a big Charisma stat. If I’m Joseph J Dragon sitting on a small hill of gold and jewels I’m not gonna waste my time boning every monsterfucking tiefling twink with a lyre. I would have standards.
Counter-counter-counterpoint: even if dragons are SUPER horny they’ve got better prospects than spindly little bards!!!! They could be off fucking cloud giants or beholders or planetars!!!! They could be having sex with kraken in the middle of the ocean or fire giants in the mouth of an erupting volcano!
There is a wealth of sexual excess and opportunity available to dragons; so much that they do not need to be slumming it with an adventurer who hasn’t washed his ass in a month and a half and is probably covered in kobold blood by the time they get to the dragon’s lair!
Seriously!!!
I don’t care how many times you cast Charm Monster, the Elder Dragon who has probably slept with more princesses than there are princedoms is not going to bite! When you have bedded the most beautiful mortals on the Prime Material Plane on a pile of gold and jewelry you are not gonna be looking twice at any MOTHERFUCKEr who can’t at least True Polymorph to make things interesting
i think i’ve been going through a long-term anxiety attack for going on nine hours now and you know what that means : D
Sometimes, even the most fortitudinous adventurers hit a mental block that they cannot overcome and find themselves trembling and lost in their own thoughts and self-doubt. While such mental attacks tend to happen more often in a humanoid known to have a proclivity to such, there are some cases where even the most neurotypical member of the party falls victim.
Roll a Wisdom save. A character with established anxiety/trauma or triggers related to the situation must roll with a DC of 13 while a character who might be affected less must roll with a DC of 10. If a character fails, roll a d10 to determine how long the attack will last (if they rolled a natural 1, then they automatically suffer the consequences of the attack for 10 minutes) and roll a d10 on the following chart for every successive minute of the attack.
1- Heart Palpitations. The affected character becomes acutely aware of their racing heartbeat and it becomes all that they can focus on. Roll all Perception, Investigation, and Insight checks with disadvantage.
2- Shaking Hands. The affected character’s hands begin to tremble uncontrollably. Roll all Dexterity and Dexterity-based checks with disadvantage.
3- Nausea. The affected character feels as though an entire nest of spiders is crawling in the pits of their stomach. Roll a Constitution save (DC 10). If the character fails, then they are incapacitated for the next minute as they try to control their upset stomach.
4- Shortness of Breath/Choking. The affected character feels as though they are at the bottom of the ocean and the pressure and lack of air is compressing their chest. Roll all Constitution- or other breathing-based saves with disadvantage.
5- Chest Pain. The affected character feels as though a hostile creature barreled directly into their chest. Add 1d4 psychic damage for any physical damage they incur during the attack.
6- Sudden Onset of Fear. The affected character feels overwhelmingly frightened of something intangible and indescribable. Speed is halved and all saves against being frightened must be rolled with disadvantage.
7- Depersonalization/Derealization. The affected character feels detached from the world and struggles to return to their proper mind. Passive Perception drops to baseline 10.
8- Vertigo. The affected character feels dizzy and seems to be on the verge of falling over. Speed is halved and all Intelligence-based checks are rolled with disadvantage.
9- Sweating. The affected character begins to sweat profusely, no matter what the climate. Add 1d4 psychic damage for any cold or fire damage they incur during the attack.
10- Sleeplessness. The affected character is dually extremely wired and extremely tired, vacillating between the two. For every minute that the character undergoes, they gain a level of exhaustion.
The character can choose to spend five minutes calming themself down. Roll at the beginning of the five minutes to attempt to save again.
Upon a save, all symptoms of the attack fade.
as a note, i know that this isn’t how anxiety attacks really work; usually it’s some or all of the symptoms at once, not a slow gradation. i felt as though this was the easiest translation into a not-too-debilitating anxiety-based status. that being said, if you want to just throw all of these conditions at your player at once to really incapacitate them, then i don’t have any complaints :P
none of the characters in your party is allowed pockets. if they want more carrying capacity, they better either know how to sew/have the dexterity necessary to do so or have people waiting on them, holding their stuff for them.
another use for an undead army is for overcoming the world’s nerf on women’s clothing by holding everything for you take that patriarchy
that probably takes an action to take things out though i want the mobility and convenience of being able to whip out my phone and bean it at someone in six seconds if necessary
