What's your thoughts on the Chaos Kin overall? It always seemed like a mindless creature to me, but I like this depiction of it actually having enough sentience to plan out everything it did to Pit and Palutena (especially the part where it forces her to watch it trap Pit).

While making my comics, I frequently revisited chapters 18, 20, and 21. In the dialogue between Pit and possessed Palutena, I observed the cruelty of the Chaos Kin. It goes out of its way to demean Pit and insult him, pretending to be a fed up Palutena to hurt him emotionally. I believe that this creature is fundamentally sinister. It may feed off souls as its primary source of sustenance, but I believe it gets same energy from sowing chaos. Also, it takes its time to eat Palutena’s soul, only going all in once Pit defeats it the first time. This thing likes to play with its food.

I also believe that what it does is calculated to a certain extent. It knew that in order to get to Palutena, it needed Pit out of the way. In my most recent comic, the Chaos Kin forcing Palutena to watch what it does to Pit is not simply cruelty for the sake of cruelty. In this instance, the Chaos Kin is trying to break her spirit to make her easier to control and consume.

To refuel the chaos Kin art, here’s a reminder that Dark Pit was not himself either while pit was a ring. I think the implication is that he was locked in his own body for three years

Ahahahaha yes, you better believe I'm not done exploring the gaps in this arc. There's ENDLESS potential with angst from all of the implications that this whole ordeal left behind. I'm currently working on another comic, actually one that leads directly into "Taken Care of," so stay tuned. Once I'm done tormenting Pit and Palutena, Dark Pit is sure to get his turn in the torture labyrinth.
