Vintage Lysistrata illustrations. Lysistrata (Λυσιστράτη) is a play by Aristophanes first performed in 411 B.C. Illustrations by three artists: Norman Lindsay, 1926, Notor (Vicomte Gabriel de Roton), 1898, and Aubrey Beardsley, 1896. Each artist used his personal style to illustrate the famous ancient greek comedy.
